Dave I hope you up and feeling better real soon. To me, nothing worse than your back hurting. Here is some pixiedust: to help a speedy recovery.

Back from my errands.....formal night ensemble is being hemmed. And I was right, it's costing more for that than it was to buy....but then, it was REALLY inexpensive and there is a lot to be hemmed. :thumbsup2 Also have a new hole punched in my ear AGAIN. Got to be able to wear those fabulous earings Peg bought for me! ::yes::

kpiper, YEAH for taking the challange and posting! Don't be afraid to say Hi to anyone you see in a lime green wrist band. Be slightly afraid to say Hi to any of us wackos in lime green feather boas!

Oh, I stopped at TiggersPal's house after errands and she made the BEST cup of tea for me! Vanilla/Caramel....OMG!!!!! Dessert in a glass. We'll be bringing some of that on the ship ::yes::

HEY....may be too late for you east coast folks, but Extremem Makeover: Home Edition tonight.....the family is being sent on a DCL cruise!

Hi just doing my part to help us hit our mark. As for all you cold weather folks please send some down texas way. It is muggy and hot, hot, hot. We have finally gotten some much needed rain. But it may be a little to late to save my lawn. Oh, well theres always next year. My focus now it the trip. We are so excited.

Well, you don't have to be afraid of saying Hi to my DD5 who will be sporting her lime green/pink combo boa. You may, however, choose to steer clear of her dad, who plans on wearing a lime green one, too....

kpiper...Nice to have another poster. I personally alternate between born-again lurker and occasional poster. Just trying to do my part today.

ktkberg...would LOVE to send you some of our cooler weather, but enjoying it way too much. Had a great time walking through the airshow exhibits in the rain yesterday. Kids loved that...we don't get "weather" very often.

Starting to get things done! :) Bought pirate costumes pirate: pirate: for dds and ordered safe sea, sunscreen, motion sickness meds, waterproof cameras and other sundries. Had dds try on formal night dresses to make sure they still fit ok (bought them ages ago). I can't believe it's almost here!!!!! :cool1:  :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

Hi all! :)

Hope you all had a great weekend. :thumbsup2 I'm sitting here recovering after my back went out on Thursday morning. Ironically enough, it went out as I was on my way to the gym to work out. :sad2: :rotfl:

I've been getting up early for the past two weeks to work out...not so much for the cruise, but to just get myself feeling more healthy. I was just starting to get into a rhythm and this happens. Oh well, hopefully I'll be able to start going again tomorrow morning. I won't be able to go full speed, but I'll at least be able to get on the stationary bike.

Shelly and I have our outfits for pirate night all ready to go. They'll be getting a trial run up in Michigan this coming Saturday at a friend's Halloween party. :thumbsup2

Well...that's my contribution to the competition. Have a great week everybody!

Hope you mend well so that you are ready for the cruise. :yay:

KPiper... Thanks for taking the challenge and helping our cause. :rotfl2:

Any other lurker feeling up to the challenge.

Heatmont...can not wait to meet you either. So nice that you are heling out around the house and doing chores.

Wendyjersey.. the magnets or door signs are just something you can do to say who you are or with you names and favorite character. Here is a link to see what some people have done. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=838817

Thanks that gave me a clear picture. Maybe I will try my hand at something. Thanks for the links. :surfweb:

Hope your ear will be ready for the new earrings. I think it should be okay, but then I had mine done the old fashion way via needle and ice cube. Never had any problems in the healing department. I have considered maybe getting one more in each ear, but not quit sure about doing it with those guns they use now at the mall. I keep saying to my son's girlfriend, when we go to the mall together, next time let's get our ears done. She too wants to do that. But alas we are never at the mall at the same time so I am saved. :scared:

I am a tea toddler and would love to try this tea. Can you share the ingredients now?

Welcome Heatmont and Kpiper. Nice to have you with us. I am new also, but I have been reading this thread for a long time. I feel like I have gotten to know everyone and found them to be so nice and helpful. Please say hi to us on the cruise. It will be nice to put faces to everyones names.

Watched the Extreme Makeover always do as it comes on before Desperate Housewives. It was great. It is so sad to see that people have problems and you are always thankful that you have what you have. The little boy was very excited. You could tell just by the sounds he made. This show helps alot of people and I loved how they incorporated the baseball team into the makeover. Great Show!! :thumbsup2 Yes I caught the DCL cruise vaca. That is what caught my attention as I was sitting down to watch the show.

I too like tea and just received some tea from India from our neice. It is loose tea which I have never tried so had to get directions from her. I would like to share in this special blend also, Jackie. :)

Okay now that I have the door signs splain and rearched lets move on to the Tag game. What is all this about :confused3 Any special links to go to that I can read up on? Have a great night all.

Hi all (and welcome to the "used to be" lurkers)! :goodvibes We spent the day today with 3 other families (got to love that group rate) at a 32 acre corn maze. The adults competed against the kids (10-almost 13 year olds) to see who could find all 4 bridges in the mazes first. The kids beat us by about 2 minutes (but I think they broke the rules and ran once - we heard they got a warning from security). It is something we do every year, and it was a wonderfully fun way to spend the afternoon. :thumbsup2

I had to make a second post - both to add to the number (being the slightly competitive person I am, read above post if you are unsure), and because it is a different topic.

I clarified with Ivan today about the CM Native Choice Tour. They will provide bug repellant if it is needed. He said they use a non-deet one that works great there. Just wanted to let everyone know. :cool1:

Thanks Vanvmom for spear heading this tour. I have wipes I was going to take, but it is good to know in case someone forgets to bring some.

Wendyjersey. The tag game is a game whee you put together bags f goodies. Nothing expensive maybe only 1-2.00 a piece. Some people are putting in candy and postcards from their area/state. Some are putting in stickers, pirate gear ect. each person playing in the tag game will be given a list of cabin#s that are participating. You will place your goodie bag on the cabin door along with a magnet and people will do the same for you.

Here is a link from txaggie that explains it more.

Good morning All
Glad to see so many "lurkers" come out on hiding, We had a really busy weekend. Had a yard sale and did quite well ...all proceeds will go for cruise sending money :cool1: .Only one negative..I was cleaning some out door play stuff and got stung by a mud wasp..total ouch.. And of corse I have an allergic reaction.Had to got to urgent care yesterday AM and the gave me an injection and put me on steriods. I was awake ALL NIGHT!!!!Needless to say today will be a long day. Angelina has no school so hopefully I find some patience.

:wave2: Morning!

My mom is flying down from PA to join us on the cruise and although I told her about this a YEAR ago.......she has YET to tell my dad! I keep telling her every week to tell him and she said she will........the day BEFORE she leaves! :confused3 OY! Personally I think she is waiting to tell him so that he doesn't have enough time to get a dumpster and empty out the basement while she's gone :rolleyes1

Anyway.........since I do live next to WDW I wanted to offer to grab anything little that anyone who isn't visiting here first but wants for the cruise wants.

Just let me know!

Good morning everyone. I am going to put in my first whole day at work since the surgery today so it should prove to be a long one! At least Kyle doesn't have his private lesson tonight (he plays the baritone). The plan is to hit the gym tonight and get some time on the treadmill to get my strength up. I feel really good so I just need to keep listening to my body.

Regarding mailing the buttons. I had thought that sending them before the cruise would help with names at the DIS meet but I still haven't heard from that lady so it may all be a moot point anyway. :confused3

Everyone have a great Monday. Only 8 days til our 20th wedding anniversary! Some days it feels like yesterday and others it feels like it has been FOREVER!!! (Love you sweetie!)

Good morning all,

Mom2of2 - Isn't that funny, my mom is also joining us and hasn't told my dad either. Whenever I bring stuff for her to read or get talking about the cruise she always shushes me. How old is your mom? Maybe it's a generational thing. :rotfl:

I would really be interested in how that Vanilla-Caramel tea is made too. It sounds delicious!

Have a nice day all
Karen
