SIX WEEKS

Getting some things marked off the old 'to do' list this weekend. Like, have formal night ensemble altered, pop in to the eye DR and get some disposable contacts for my dolphin/parasailing adventures, poke around some stores and see if there are any summer clothes on sale. Also gotta take care of some things for my Vegas adventure next weekend....pedicure & hair color

FASHION QUESTION: my formal outfit is taupe with some glittery bits...so will black shoes/bag be OK? Because of the sparkles, it kind of calls out for silver shoes and bag...but I'm not going to that expense for something I'll only have on a couple of hours.

Wrist band mailing question: My plan is to mail these out first class. I've had someone ask to have theirs sent priority mail ($4.50 flat fee I'm told). If anyone else would prefer this, please let me know and add that amount to your $2/bracelet cost.

Edited to add: Anyone know how much the DCL lanyards cost? I might be picking some up for a fellow DISer.

Remember its your cruise. So what ever you feel is formal enough is fine. Not that I am mr fashion but I think your black/shoes and bag will be just right.

I'd say the black shoes should be fine. And as for a bag... I didn't carry one the whole cruise. I normally carried my KTTW in a DCL surf box lanyard (you know the type... tiny credit card sized water safe box on a rope). When I was dressed more formally, just carried my KTTW in my camera bag - after all, my camera was ALWAYS with me. Another idea would be that you could use a small satiny wallet sized bag with a wrist strap.

I think the black shoes and bag would work just fine. I am so excited that we hit the 6 week mark. I have been getting great post season sales. Little Miss Angie will be sporting a new outfit each night and since I did not lose the weight I needed to I got a few new things. Still need the dreeded bathing suit.

Who will be in town 1st? well I also live in Florida ( about 30 mins from the Mouse) .I do wish I was staying on property for a week after the cruise .But it will be back to reality the day we arrive back to the Cape.

I *could* be wrong but I thought I saw the DCL lanyard for $7.00 when I was on the Wonder in July

to those who are at WDW prior to DCL and are planning on hitting the F&W fest.....I just came from there and it was a madhouse!!! I hope that when you all get here it has calmed down a LOT! Tons more food booths then last year but less seating and shade. Unfortunately, the weekend we hit the cruise is the last weekend and the day before is Veterans Day so it *could* be busy.

Thanks, Not Mr. Fashion. I like the colors of taupe and black together, just felt like it needed more bling. SO, I just bought some bling for my wrist and ears instead (the inexpensive kind). Now I just have to get my right ear re-pierced.

Bought some new clothes today, actually found things I liked, and now have another 'play' top and 'dressy' top and a better fitting pair of black dress pants. And they were all on sale!

I also made an appointment with my eye Dr to get all set up for disposable contacts....so I can SEE the dolphins in Cozumel.

Off to check out the trip reports......

It's getting closer and so much more real! I found a formal dress the other day for an unbeliveable price so I had to pick it up. Guess I'm wearing Red this year (crimson red) That's going to be a major change because looking back each year it seems I'm in some form of black (except last year when I did sage green.) Couldn't pass this dress up.
My darn black dress for semi-formal night is too big (okay--yay about that, but boohoohoo that it doesn't fit!) Gotta figure out something different to wear now.
Still debating on driving or flying down. We may just head down sometime on Thursday, do Friday at Food & Wine and then head over to the ship Saturday.
Can November please hurry up and get here?

We have cozumel all planed out but have no Idea what we are doing on Costa Maya.

I figure if your going to hit Costa Maya then you must see the ruins. We booked one of the excursions to do just that. I know they are a little expensive but we figured what the heck. I also did some research since people like to book tours on there own. Since the price was not much cheaper to book without using DCL we did it with DCL.

S'DUDE....I'll be playing with a mess of DISers and David & Ivan at the ruins. But after that, if I don't feel the need to race back to the ship, I'm thinking margaritas, and a bite at The Cat's Meow and maybe a splash in the ocean. I've also heard some good things about the place and the far end of the beach...don't remember the name...you probably saw the recent thread...

Got more 'to dos' done today.....hair color, pedicure, ears re-pierced, grocery shopping...so I'm ready to kick back for a quiet Sunday evening

I've been debating on the Mayan ruins at Costa Maya as well. Just can't decide what we want to do. Getting DH to decide on anything has not been easy.
