Woody
YUP! Woody you did it.

Well I feel like I have been away for a month and it was only 2 days. We had the worst day of ourlives here, Wednesday. My DSis was taken from work to the hospital with her B/P out of the world. The ER docs murmmerd that frightful word, heart attack. :worried:

OMG she is to young. Heck she is to young to have a B/P like that as well. It was a long night in the hospital for us, but she had morphine. She is still groggy. Yesterday they did a stress test and felt 95% sure it was NOT at heart attack or blockage. I still cannot get past the percentage they gave us. I guess nothing in life is 100% any more. So, now back to the drawing board and more tests (poor thing) to find out why the B/P was so high. Now I am not as concerned that the top number was high (Its not good, but that could be stress related), but that bottom number should never be over 100. That is what I am concerned about and I am not gonna rest till we get an answer (poor sis).

I told her yesterday that she could kiss that caffine goodbye. You can tell who is the oldest here and I am determined that she is not leaving leave me. She is my best friend, my sister n law and my sister. It does not get any better than that. After all, I have all my eggs in one basket. LOL She has been discharged home and we are watching her like a hawk.

I must say that when things like this happen, it really forces you to reinventory your life. Some how what seemed so important before, really is not now. I thouhgt, if I win the lottery I would never ask for anything again, but this showed me that I would rather have my prayers answered for my family, than money any day.

Well, thanks for letting me ramble, and if you have a spare prayer, please use it for my DSis (Win). Thanks :worship:

Dee
I will be keeping your Sis in my prayers for sure. Hang in there. I know from first hand experience that not knowing what is causing a health problem is a very scary, stressfull thing :grouphug:

oh! Had my first cruise anxiety dream last night....I know, a wierd thing to get excited about, eh?

I was at the terminal, but couldn't get on the ship because I had left something important at home. But I was able to call Peg and have her pick it up at my house and bring it with her because she wasn't coming till the next day :confused3 (don't ask me how that was supposed to help me get on the ship then). I think my subconscious was mixing up the Vegas trip wboutith the cruise (because we thought Peg might not be able to come to Vegas till Sat AM).

Oh, Dee......Peg is coming Friday night! :thumbsup2
I had one on last Friday night, and never remember my dreams I know I had one I just never remember what they were. I was told that is because they are too horrible your subconscious blocks tem out. Anyway I was on deck 10 at the sail away party and my DW is down by the ropes trying to get them untied and yelling up to me "LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!!!!" All I can do is laugh at her and yell back, "get back on the ship before we leave you. They have people to do that." And she has my youngest daughter on her shoulders. Sill yelling, "Let’s get this party started!!!"
I told her about this on Saturday and now every time she sees me that is what she says.

Jackie
Funny what are dreams say isn't it. I have had many already .Of corse the classic I can't find my Docs while at the port or we keep driving and driving and don't ever seem to get there. It is amazing how close the trip is getting. I am so excited I can BUST!!!

After your first paragraph my next words were OMG, but you already started the next sentence with that. Can't believe this has happened to her. She had better listen to her doctors and you and get herself back to normal. She has a trip to go on. Maybe she is getting all excited about that.......lol. Please keep me informed and I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.

Dee, tell Win she is in my prayers. AND tell her that she should listen to her big sister...AS ALL LITTLE SISTERS SHOULD ;)

Spotdude....now that's a funny dream. I admire a woman who takes action and gets the show on the road! ::yes::

DCL availability update:

Just played on the DCL site to see where there are still cabins available for our cruise. No 12's are offered and only GTY available for Cat 6. Cats 7, 9 and 10 listed seven locations and Cat's 4, 5, 8 and 11 listed eight. Now I think somone told me they never list more than eight options, but I don't know if that's true. If it is, there could be more than eight available in that last group. Oh, and the room next door.....still available.

I say, "Let the upgrades begin, DCL" ::yes::

Dee, give Win a big ole squeezy hug for me and one for yourself. :grouphug:  I know exactly how you feel about the sister/best friend thingy. My sis is my best friend too.

Jackie told me about WIN and I've been praying like a fiend. I am glad to hear that they now believe it WAS NOT a heart attack. Yes, if I can get off the caffeine so can she! Although I do allow myself a coffee every weekend!

And, I know from experience that these "lessons" put all lives little issues in proper order eh? I had a scare last year and so did Jackie. NO MORE OF THAT NOW PEOPLE!!!!

Everyone will remain healthy and excited between now and 11/18. (I was going to say the sail date but what would be the point of that? We want to have an entire week of fun!)

GOD BLESS US ONE AND ALL !:goodvibes

Jackie - if a little sister has to listen to her big sister - when does the big sister have to listen to the little one?

Hey ladies,
I am in the process of changing out the girls' closets from summer to fall (as it was 43 this morning) and setting the things aside we might want to wear on the boat. Do any of y'all pack fallish clothes to take? Last year I packed summer AND fall and needless to say, didn't need any of the cool weather stuff. (However, when we got off the boat it was 80ish and when we landed in Birmingham it was 34 and we were all in shorts!) Hence, I had way too much luggage and that was only on a four day--I'm packing for 8 days this year and DH is already fussing about the amount of luggage he's afraid I'm going to take!
So I'm just wondering if y'all take anything like that or if you just strictly pack for the warm weather. I'm thinking maybe just a light sweater, just in case, and something with sleeves/legs for the trip home?

My prayers are with you and your sister I will mention it at church as well.
I have been getting in to shape and loosing weight because of almost the same reason wioth my sister.

Melanie
I always pack a couple of light weight jogging/sweatsuits. I like to change after dinner into something comfy. I also bring several light weight sweaters for my DD. She is always cold. Last cruise we went on (Nov 05) and in the Evenings it was a little chilly up on deck(esp after getting a little sun burned at CC)
Spot dude
Funny dream :rotfl:

I had my second cruise panic dream (remember the first had a "Survivor" twist to it). At least this one didn't combine any reality TV! I was driving in my van to the port with needalatte (DHs and all the boys were in her van). Okay... we're supposed to FLY to FL, and we're arriving on different days, so already it's not making sense. While driving, I realize I've left our directions at home, along with all of the hotel and car rental confirmation sheets (okay, if we're driving why do I need a rental). Plus I packed nothing from our "cruise box." You know the box you start to fill with stuff months before the vacation so that you have it all in one place when it is time to pack.

No one was running along side the van yelling "let's get this party started" though. I sort of prefer that twist in a dream! :wizard:

On a more serious note, I hope Win is doing better. I'll put her on our prayer chain as well.

Hi Melanie~~This is what I do and if I had children I'd do this too!! I wear a shirt that is sweatshirt material. It is heavy enough to get from Jersey to the airport in Philadelphia. It is just light enough to get away with when landing someplace warm like FL. I wear the same thing back so that I am ready for the cold air when I get back to Jersey. It beats having to drag coats and jackets. In the airports you're in air conditioning so a sweatshirt type material will be okay while waiting for a flight to leave FL. Sweats are great traveling clothes for adults and kids, it is the way to go. :woohoo: Hope this helps.

Dee I will be thinking of you and your sister, hope she feels better soon ( and you too) :goodvibes
