Okay, I'm schedule to parasail at 10:30 on 11/12.... anyone else here joining me???

Hello All… First time for a post but have been following for a while. It is nice to see that so many others have been bit by the bug. Will be with you all on the Nov. 11 with DW 36, DS 14, DS 8. We’re staying at the Residence Inn the night before. How would you all recommend getting from MCO to the Hotel? We are traveling with another family of 3 and have thought of getting a rental car from Avis and returning it the next day or is it better to take a van service? Any thoughts would be great… TKS

Welcome flymv and family. I would rent a car so you have transportation that night and then drop off the family and luggage the next morning and take the car back. We did that before and it worked great.

Vanvmom..we are booked for parasailing on 11/17 at 1030. You can fill me in after you do it. Everyone else in my group has done it before but me.

I knew I might back out if I thought about it for too long, so I had to book it for the first time at CC! :teeth:

Welcome :welcome: flymv! (Look vanvmom--another family of BOYS!) Jump right in and participate as much or as little as you'd like. If you share a van service with the other family in your party, it might be fairly economical, but renting is the least expensive way to go....probably even renting a van for all of you.

Wendy :Pinkbounc Me! Me! I'm parasailing at 10:30AM too and so are Janice (Disney-Cruiser) and her sister Linda and someone else too...I just can't remember at the moment who it is  I wonder how many people are in a boat?? Is it Betsy who's coming too, or one of the other pals?

Yeah, txaggie...more boa wearers! People are going to think we are wacked-out (some ALREADY think that).

tggrdisney, you really did luck out on the Palo brunch reservations....good job!

Dee, I haven't pre-registererd yet....I did open that section of the site and take a little look around, but haven't done anything yet.

I did order my new Disney rewards card and applied what $ is there, but will manage to earn a few more rewards dollars before the cruise (Visa doesn't have my final payment check yet and I can throw a couple more months of bills on there too).

TiggersPal's puppy dogs are visiting Acoma kitten this evening while I DIS. Faith (the black & tan MinPin) has been 'sassing' me for some time. She either wants to sit in my lap while I type OR she wants some kitten food, I can't quite determine which it is.

Pat and Devin....I read some stuff about the dune buggy at Cozumel....but can't for the life of me remember if it was good or bad????? Are you guys checking out the trip reports????

OK....off to cruise the cruise forum before I have to head back to the puppy's house for the night.

:grouphug: Oh that must have been tough! Have another margarita on me :drinking:

Well, I'm breaking down and getting a passport...mine expired in 1984! And I'm getting another copy of my birth certificate in case the passport doesn't get here in time ::yes::

Have a great day everyone.

It is so nice to have some of the stuff done for this cruise. Last night we went and bought part of the wench outfit on Pirates night. Anyone else dressing up?

Has anyone else pre-registered yet on line?

Hi all,
It's been awhile since we checked in, but we are getting so excited, we just had to post!

We did pre-register already. It was very easy and self explanatory. Just don't forget to print out the contract signature form. We also registered my DD in the lab.

Got all my reservations on-line at 3 am. Boy that was tough! (hopefully we get LAP or PAL rotation. We have seen the show in AP 3 times and don't care if we miss it. We also like that menu the least!)

Dinner - Sunday (DH's Birthday)
Brunch - Thursday
Tea - Monday

We are arriving at WDW on Sunday 11/5. Rented points at BWV and are waitlisted for 11/10. (could only get 5 nights). So not really sure where we will be Friday night. Have tentative reservations at Residence Inn and Hampton Inn.

Happy Planning Everyone!
Karen

Welcome Flymv! :sunny: And welcome to the DIS, too! :bounce:

Nice to see you again Jerry112. We've pre-registered on line and printed out the stuff you have to sign and turn in. The only thing we have to wait for is the Bahama form, which should come in our documents or we can fill them out at the terminal.

Dee, we are all going to be in costume for Pirate Night.

Wendy, my DH loved parasailing when he did it two years ago.

Jackie, sassy Min Pins, that sounds so familiar. Minnie has been sassing me for 3 years, LOL. Thats how old she is. Daisy is not much of a sasser, much better temperment. Of course I love them both to pieces.

Jackie, Betsy had no burning desire to parasail, but my friend Lysa is planning to do it at the same time. Hopefully she can get a ressie to do it (she can't make ressies until 75 days out). Wondering if it would be better to make the ressie in the name of someone in my family, then let her use it instead. :confused3 Well, I'm off to purchase some lime green boas for the 4 gals traveling in our group! Woo Hoo! Hope to see several of you at chat tonight (I may actually make it close to "on time" tonight- this week's Tuesday meeting starts at 6pm :teeth: ).

Hello All,

I owe my fellow Dis board cruisers an apology. I never realized it would be so hard to get Palo brunch reservations. I was able to get on at the 105 day mark and could have helped out. I am sorry. But I still may be able to help. ibouncto says that they hold back about 1/2 the brunch reservations for boarding time. We will be one of the first 25 - 50 or so folks on the boat. I currently have a table for two at the Monday Palo Brunch. I do not mind seeing if I can change it to a 4, 6, or 8 top table at cruise boarding. My lovely wife, Alison, and I would be happy to have some of you join us. This will take some coordination though. My thinking is, once we get on we go right to the lounge and see if we can get a bigger table. I would need names and cell phone numbers of all interested. As soon as I found out what could be done I would start making phone calls to let those interested know how things turned out. My gut is I can probably get a 4 or 6 top. Anything more is questionalbe. Does anyone know how big the tables get at Palo's. Just a little back ground on My wife and I so you know if we might be the type of folks you want to spend a couple of hours with. We are in our late 40's, have 4 kids, pretty conservative (usually vote Republican), Catholic, short, somewhat on the heavy side (on diets - usually fail), love Disney, pretty good sense of humor. I like golf, coaching, talk way to fast and to much, no nothing about college or pro sports, and a little about everything else. My wife Alison is really smart and knows all kinds of things. She is the trivia queen but is much quieter than me. So, if anyone is interested just let me know. The best way would be by sending me an email at dwbarc@aol.com. That way your reply wouldn't get lost on this long thread. Again, I apologize for not offering sooner. Just can't believe there are that many Disney Crazies out there. I though I was a minority.

David

Welcome Flymv.
It is exciting to see everyone getting their ressies in order. We have not made plans to do anything ...just going with the flow. I think we will do the CC sting ray encounter but not sure of anything else. I was trying to convince Hubby to go to Palo with the guys in our group but he doesn't want to go with out me. I will still work on him because I know he would love it.Hope to chat tonight(if I can get Angelina to sleep without me :thumbsup2 )

I could not get brunch ethier, so I email Jennifer OLeary ( she is in charge of our vowrenewal) and she is going to call DCL and see what she can do.

Just wanted to say hi. I'm finally home from my dad's :cool1: (have been there since June). School doesn't start until September :thumbsup2 so I still have some summer vacation left.

Can't wait until we leave on vacation. :woohoo:

Mom is sleeping....you know how old people are..... :rotfl: :lmao:

Talk to you soon! Can't wait to meet you all!!!

Good morning all! I see that my daughter was on the computer last night. Yes....I was already in bed - don't seem to have much energy lately....

It is good having her home though - having her gone all summer is really hard. Of course, there are no "fighting siblings" during that time but it's such a long stretch.....

Anyways, hope everyone is doing well. Talk to you soon....
