Peggy...I thought I'd read somewhere that Crocs are big in the nursing field. You could wear them to work every day! I did wear mine to the fair the other day and they were great. No aches at all. I would have been hurting with sneakers on! The new ones we got the other day are kind of strange, though. Color's odd and I'm not sure they're going to be as comfortable as the flip flops...jury's still out...

Hope everyone's having a good week...

Carolyn

I love my niles, but work is too conservative dress code wise - but maybe some day they will come up with something "special" for work place environments! YOU DID IT - you were the 2300 POST~~~!:sunny:

Boy, there had better be something in my mailbox tonight, or I am going to be ONE CRANKY LADY!

Devin, renting a tux on board sounds like a wise move to me.....unless you are an unusual size or shape...hehe

The master plan it to be average size and shape :rotfl:

I bought the PassPorter's Disney Cruise Clues First Class Tips for Disney Cruise Line Trips. WOW what a book. I read most of it while we were eating dinner. MY DW was reading is I finished it. I would check it out it is really good info. A lot of it we already knew but there was a lot of info in there, and really well organized

the cruise stuff will have to wait my trusty Dodge Caravan in need of repair. I wish my farther wasn't so darn good with ANYTHING and EVERYTHING mechanical, and smashed in to my brain " if you want it done right do it your self" :teeth: I can't even go some place to get my oil changed with out feeling guilty. :confused3 AH oh well I guess it could be worse; I might have to have it done some where, and not have a clue.

Hi Everyone
Hope all is well.I really enjoyed chatting the other night.I wanted to share someting really cool that Vito jr is doing. Hanna Montanna is a new disney channel show and today she is taping and episode at typhoon lagoon and doing a concert and Vito jr is there !!!!!!It sounds like it will be a ton of fun only wish I was there with him. I knew it would be way to hard for Angelina Esp that the concert will be on the"beach" in front of the wave pool in the sun. But i happy that he was able to go with a really good freind and her family.
OMG Vito jr just and they were given VIP passes!!!! Dont really know what it means except that they get to be in the group closest to the stage.

You'll have to tell us when that episode will be on the air (or at least the "name" of that episode), so we can TIVO it. My kids love that show.

:wave2: rocketralph, nice to see you! Pop in more often, OK?

spotdude, :rotfl: I have the same master plan...however it will take me long past cruise time to achieve it. But I WILL be in much better condition then than now.

Michelle, Vito Jr seems to be having a GREAT summer. He deserves it too, he's one great kid! ::yes::

BTW, no 'present' from DCL yet.....sigh.

This weekend I'm going to finally use one of my Christmas presents! (no snide comments TiggersPal!) My beautiful sister and generous brother-in-law gave me a new digital camera for Christmas and I'm actually going to figure out how to use it!!! LOL You see, I have this visit to Disneyland coming up so I'll have lots of opportunties to 'shoot' some stuff and some DISers too....hehe

Speaking of Disneyland, Wendy have you left yet? If you pop on the DIS before you go (I know you'll be there tomorrow), your assignment (when you go back after the weekend) is to verify that there is still FASTPASS for Pirates. I was seeing rumors on the DLR forum about them not having it anymore :confused3 which I think would be VERY AWFUL. Keep your eyes peeled for Captain Jack Sparrow!

I have been reading trip reports and there are several people that have done the Tux rental on board and have very good things to say about it. Tomorrow I am going to get measured. I don't think I am going to change that much in size. (except aroubnd the middle) The Tux rental is about $100 that is almost half the price I can find local for the time I need to rent it, and I don't have to transport it. That is the best part of it. One less thing that I have to worry about. I have been looking for a new tie to wear but I can't seem to find one that I like.

The only thing next is to find a Dress for DW. I guess she is looking for some wedding dress that she saw on Gilmore Girls. I don't know we are going to look this weekend.

We know the Dresses we are going to get for the Girls. Next week I think we are going to pick them up.

Thank you for the welcome..The name was given to me by my lovely DW... Hmm... maybe she is trying to tell me something..

Thanks, Surly

On our 11/11/04 cruise - one of our DIS buddies from Kentucky - John - did the Tux rental and I must say he looked very nice.
Nice quality suit and 'easy'.
You will look very sharp at your vow renewal :cool1:

SpotDude: I checked my cruise documents from last year, and the rental price included two shirts. That way you can wear the tuxedo on Formal and Semi-Formal Nights.

(I bring my own tuxedo and two shirts, and wear the tuxedo both nights.)

Woody

Well I just bought a new suit so I want to wear it. I need to justify the $450 I spent on it. Plus a shirt and tie. :lmao: But I might think about wearing it both nights, anyway.

That dose lead me in to my next question. The web sites (and the Disney book) say that you are supposed to leave it in your room after your last formal night and they will pick it up. I assume that means the semi formal as well?

And YEP I get to spend Saturday looking at dresses woooohhhhhhooooooo man I am looking forward to that. I can hardly control myself. A whole fun filled day of sitting out in front of a dressing room. “Do you like this one? Or this one”  :woohoo: :yay:

I looked in to getting one on eBay but I just wouldn't use it enough. My last suit has lasted me almost 10 years. I wear a tie enough (more than enough some times)
It just is out dated and looking a little rough. I got it custom tailored in Korea. It is a really nice suit but double breasted just doesn't look as good as it used to on me (I’m a little bigger than I used to be. I would love to get another one like it. The quality is fantastic (well it lasted ten years) I had it let out once about three years ago but that is all I have ever had done. But a Tux would get used once a year.

A nice suit would be appropriate both nights. But talk with your DW about it. If she wants you to wear a tux, do it.

Yes, that's correct.

That reminds me of comedian Gary Delena on the Magic. At the adult show, he used to tell some jokes about when his wife would ask, "Does this outfit make me look fat?"

Woody

Well That answers all those questions.

I have to send in my Vow Renewal planning kit today I have been putting it off hoping someone from my side would decited to show up. BUt alas that is not the case. My last hope is getting shipped over to Iraq the end of next month and is there for six months. This would be his third time. the last time he arived back here at 735 am 9-11-2001 fortutanly he is in the Air force and in computer networking so he is pretty safe.

Spotdude...We can be there for you and act like long lost kin folk if you want. :thumbsup2 There are a few of us who could even make up some good stories about "our" families past at no extra charge. :rotfl:

Devin, I'm sorry to hear that your plans aren't going as you hoped. We'll keep him (and all the service men and women) in our thoughts.

Dee is right....I've learned that your cruisin' family is more than happy to step in.....otherwise they will just get busted by the CMs trying to sneak in....Right Dee???

What time is your renewal ceremony on Thursday? And where exactly...Deck 7? Our ceremony is supposed to be at Sessions (I guess) at 4:00 p.m. and I would love to get to see you guys some time during the night to get some photos.
