Chat will be at 10PM for you (7PM for me). I plan to race home and throw some chicken in the oven (HAVE to cook it tonight) and jump on the computer so I won't be TARDY this week! Though I may be running back and forth to the kitchen for a bit :stir:

I can't wait to get my DCL present in the mail, though I believe it will come via our travel agent so it may take a bit longer. :sad1:

I've decided it's time to sign up from somene kind of crafting class :artist: Got to get those creative juices flowing again. Stopped by my neighborhood rubber stamp store on Sunday, but they were closed....summer hours... closed Sun-Wed....must be nice!?! Guess I'll have to call Michaels and JoAnne's and see what they've got going on. Which reminds me....how are all the circle journals coming/ I know several of our cruise-mates are doing them.

OK, enough rambling for so early in the morning...off to check up on DCL trip reports.

Sister- what's a circle journal?

HEY EVERYONE - SEE WHAT I GOT????

I could just KISS that Tag Fairy!!!!!

LOOK....LOOK... TIGGERSPAL GOT A NEW TAG!
Congratulations little sister!

Hello All,

House keeping first -

Shelly, I probably got you confused. We only have one DIS board name. It's Alisbarc, but that's my wife. I just picked Tigger2 because I like Tigger. Sorry. Alison is the computer literate one and sets everything up. I just read and write. Trying to talk her into posting a picture of us and some bouncy thingys etc. She's really busy with VBS (vacation bible school) so it will have to wait till its over. She's one of the organizer people and they wound up with over 200 kids. Sort of caught them off gaurd.

Just finished a weekend of baseball and have a bunch more games this week. Had 2 yesterday, 2 tonight, and maybe 4 tomorrow night. Not letting any of my boys play competitive baseball ever again. Some of those folks are baseball nuts. Going to keep things at the rec level. That's stressful enough for this short, over weight, aging, Dad.

David & Ivan have gotten back to me and told me that the ruin tours are all booked up. Everyone have a great time.

Hi. We're back from our non-Disney trip to Orlando. :sad2: It was a conference for Dh, nice break for me. Actually we had a great time. We flew into Orlando on Tuesday as "alberto" was crossing Florida. I thought for sure we would be delayed since we were flying from the city where the storm was headed to the area from which the storm was coming. Actually, no. Great flight. On time. :cheer2:

We used FL Tours towncar service. It was great--and SO easy! ( I wrote a positive review on the Trans. board. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1141455)

We stayed at the Royal Pacific Resort at Universal. The resort really was beautiful! Done like the South Pacific. Fabulous! If you ever want to go to US, it is great. There is just a short, tropical walk to the parks and CityWalk. That part was nice at night. We could have some drinks at Citywalk and not worry about driving home. We went to US and Island of Adventure one day. My general opinion: They suck. (Sorry kids.) The crowds were nowhere near WDW level however, and that was nice. Plus, as a resort guest, we went straight to the front of all the lines. My main complaint is that if you don't want SERIOUS thrill rides, :scared1: , there is not much to do. I actually love Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain, but I was in WAY over my head on Universal's coasters. Also, there was never any Magic or pixiedust: Know what I mean? If you want thrills though, it is probably the better place to go.

We did go to Emerils restaurant Tchoup Chop (Chop Chop) which is at the Hotel. It is Emeril - South Pacific style. The food was really fabulous and the restaurant was beautiful.

Hey, if anyone likes to travel with a pet, it is a good place to stay. Pets get great treatment there and are welcome in most parts of the resort.

Did I miss anything?
Jennifer
I went there three years ago for my nieces and nephews cheer leading comp. I was $360 for the day and it was a waist of money. I spent the whole day in the water park I guess you could call it that a huge house that had a lot of water falling every where. My DD was too young to go on any rides and I got left behind and didn’t get one ride. I wanted to eat at emeralds and didn’t get that ether; we ate at the NASCAR restaurant. My DW LOVES fast roller coasters and wanted to go to Islands Of Adventure, but we didn’t have time. The way the events were spaced we didn’t have time.
They did with the national Championships though, both teams.

I was excited to get that planning envelope, too. I pointed out the mickey head logo to DD and mentioned that it was Disney. She rather pointedly corrected me with a, "Cruise Line!" pointing at the wavy lines behind the head. Like, duh! Never been on a cruise and already an expert, I guess.

David...you're a better man than I am!:) I can't even imagine all that baseball. Here, even the older divisions of the rec league are rife with politics and stage moms/dads. Just don't understand living through your kids to quite that extent.

Devin...it's good that your nieces/nephews won their cheerleading competitions, or you'd have no good memories from that trip! I know we'll be steering clear for quite a few years, yet.

I'd like to say I'm chatting tonight, but since DH says he is and I STILL can't get my AIM login to allow me to accept chat invitations, I guess I'll just have to stand over his shoulder, sniff, and kibbutz....maybe, he'll let me sneak on to say hello...

Carolyn

I'll be missing chat tonight. Today is DS's (Conner) 10th birthday :woohoo: and we will be going out to dinner as family, then having friends over for ice cream cake! We've got the surprise DL trip happening on Friday, so fun abounds around my house this week! :bounce:

You don't have to stand over my shoulder.. you can sit on my lap :)

Or even better, I will entertain the kiddies and you can chat instead of me..

See you in a few hours.. Love you...

Surly..

You two are too cute!!!

We are booked for Storyteller @ DL 7/14. I am sorry we couldn't get their earlier, I know it's going to be late for the little ones. But I'm sure between Jackie, Victoria and I they will be amused! Not saying which one of us is sillier...

:rolleyes1

So cute that your guys are both wanting to chat. You are awesome. I hope to be back from the stables by then, I might be late.

I would have skipped it tonight but I missed last night cuz we were planning for DL!!!!

Wendy...the whole DL trip is a surprise for the kids?? How fun!

As for you, Surly, here I thought you were slaving away to earn the money to pay for all the excursions I want to take and you're DISing. Hmm...now I'm wondering about all those late nights at work....

Carolyn (who really has nothing to add, but thought it was so cute that DH posted here)

Oh, and Peggy, don't worry about the time. I just don't want you guys getting pulled over on the way to DL for breaking speed laws in two states! It'll all work out or we'll meet for breakfast.

He's not the only one posting while they are supposed to be making money...:bitelip:

I wonder if I will get the planning envelope since I transferred my ressie to Costco? Probably not that I need it, but it would be fun to receive.

Hannosmom mentioned that she got hers and it came direct from DCL. Nothing in my mailbox last night  But I guess it takes a while to send out a bigillion of them.

Well I finally caught up on my sleep, but now only have 1/2 hour to DIS...think I'll head over to DCL site and see how our ship is selling out.

I received my planning packet last night, has anyone rented a Tux from them before? Cruiselineformal.com It seems a lot easier than hauling it down there than having to return it when we get back. Just leave it on the ship, and not have to worry about it.

My DH just called and said i received a package from DCL today. :woohoo:

I wander what it is ...... :hyper: I cant wait to get home :cool1:

Boy, there had better be something in my mailbox tonight, or I am going to be ONE CRANKY LADY!

Devin, renting a tux on board sounds like a wise move to me.....unless you are an unusual size or shape...hehe

I feel left out - I won't get anything in the mail from Disney - cuz we booked through my sis. HOWEVER - I did get a post card a while back from Mickey - I guess I'll just have to live off that awhile - OH guess what?

My friend here at work was talking to her foot doctor (sorry not EVEN gonna try and spell that word) podiatrist? anyway - the shoes they recommend on their list... CROCS!!!!

No kidding! Isn't that cool. I did say - I hope to God they didn't mean you should wear them at work - I just couldn't do that to my boss!

I had to do this - because the next person who posts....

Peggy...I thought I'd read somewhere that Crocs are big in the nursing field. You could wear them to work every day! I did wear mine to the fair the other day and they were great. No aches at all. I would have been hurting with sneakers on! The new ones we got the other day are kind of strange, though. Color's odd and I'm not sure they're going to be as comfortable as the flip flops...jury's still out...

Hope everyone's having a good week...

Carolyn
