If you participated in Tuesday’s poll about wearing orange, you may remember me mentioning how my mother dislikes the color orange, and when I say dislike, I mean hate. I have no idea why she just always has my whole life. You will find zero orange in her home, in her wardrobe and she will not hesitate to tell people how much she hates orange. I noticed in Tuesday’s poll how others dislike orange too, which led me to do a poll on least favorite colors. Before we go any further, let’s find out more about what having a least favorite color means for us…..




Now that we learned a little something about this topic, let’s find out what color we all dislike .
I’m looking forward to these results today. Here we go….

For Me…….I have no colors that I hate and/or strongly dislike, so this is kinda tough for me. Out of the colors listed, my least favorite is blue, which is my mom’s most favorite color, how odd is that?! I choose blue because I almost never pick blue for anything. I have very little blue clothes. I have very little blue anything. I don’t dislike blue, but I don’t like it enough to want to look at it enough on a regular basis. When I look at blue, I very positively think of my mom, and think how much she’d like something because it’s blue. Stay tuned in tomorrow to find out my favorite color (some here already know)

Interesting that so far, the only colors with votes are the 3 primary colors!
I voted yellow... it makes my complexion look icky and ill. Having said that, my kitchen is pale yellow, but I don't like it. It is sort of creamy, and I wanted more of a lemon sherbet shade, which is what it looked like on the paint chip. It's hard to find a color that goes with the living space; counter tops are "hospital" green or forest green and the woodwork in the open concept space is cherry. I'm hoping to replace the countertops soon, which is something I've been saying for about 15 years now. Once that happens, I'll pick another color... maybe pink, lilac, or light aqua... JUST NOT YELLOW!

I won't wear black clothes. It goes back to the days when Color charts were popular. Black washes me out. My mom started wearing black clothes when she got older because she thought it made her look thinner. But she looked much prettier when wearing a color.

Brown. I literally never see anything brown and think “gosh, that’s nice”. I’m not a fan of neutrals either - black, white, beige, grey…although I do acknowledge their utility in decorating and putting together an outfit.

I put yellow but it's really a toss up with it and orange. Just that they're too bright for clothing for me to wear. Nothing more than that. I do have an orange nail color I'd use for halloween so yellow it was. No hate towards them though.

White with gray being a close second and I mean like you know just plain gray But I can’t stand I despise absolutely hate white walls I am a colorful person I like color in my life so gray and white are two of the most depressing colors to me
I will wear white shorts upon occasion but I have hardly any white shirts and if I do have any they have something on the front of them They’re not solid white I have maybe one maybe two gray shirts because DISNEY keeps making gray shirts I wish they would stop It’s just not a color I like nor do I look good in it

My least favorite color is actually pink, but since it's not an option, I went with red. It's not a color I'd normally buy or reach for. I only own some red because DD16s travel team uses it as a primary and DD19s main college color is a form of red. Purple is actually the one I'm least likely to wear, but it's mainly because it's a hard one to match due to so many shading variations. I don't have any aversions to it like I kind of do with red. All of the other colors are just fine.

Orange and Green I dislike overall, but green has a more nice/reasonable shades so that pulls it out of the bottom slot.

I chose brown.... It's just my least favorite. It definitely has its place, so I am not completely "anti-brown", but I just like other colors more.

Honestly, it really depends on where and how it is being used. A color is only as good as what is complimenting it. I might say I dislike yellow, but it works very well with blue or even green, even when yellow is the dominant color. I don't think I can answer without condiering that.

I don't personally wear much yellow though, as "my color" is blue - that's what I look best in, though my favorite color is probably green (though I don't wear it often).
