I did not know this. I think that is a great idea. So should we send photos to our dad?

::yes:: Love the idea of a group site (like Yahoo). I'd feel a little safer sharing personal information there. ::yes:: (As if my whole life isn't in these 3,000+ posts and anybody could pick up the phone and call me at work if they really wanted to figure it out!)

Hi! A crazy day at work with majorly sick babies but I wish to "un wind" with you all! :flower:

A few things......

Miatamel- the Tea with Wendy tickets I used to fret about are a thing of the past! I, too, wanted tickets badly before our last cruise and read they were limited. All I did was get on the ship and read in the Navigator when the shows were. I then (that first afternoon) walked up to Guest Services and requested my "free" tickets. I was given many times and days to choose from and I could get tickets for up to 4 of us (# of people in stateroom).

Not a big deal. I have to say the "show" was entertaining and your DD will love it! But get to the Rockin' D Bar (where it is held) EARLY and get a good seat.
Bring our camera!! Great photo op! :teeth:

Vanvmom.......my suggestion (especially with kids yours' ages) is spend a whole day at one of the Disney water parks! When we are there in Nov, Blizzard Beach should be the one open. They alternate in closing one of them for refurbishment every late Fall. BB was closed last Fall so it is due to stay open this one. If your kids like water slides (and i mean BIG water slides....this is place not to be missed!) I promise you will hav fun!

Weather concerns? Not a big deal. Even if it is low 70's (doable and the waters are kept warm).....there will be hardly any crowds there! Even better! Floridians thing 75-79 degrees is too cold!

We just spent this last Thanksgiving Day at Typhoon Lagoon in 70's degree weather and we walked onto every slide! The hightlight of our post-cruise stay! ::yes::

That week you and I will be staying at WDW just before Thanksgiving should be taken with caution...we just did it and you have to be selective as to your priorities and crowd tolerance. It sounds like you will be not staying long and that is smart! We went to MK the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and it was barely tolerable.

However, water parks are by and large ignored as a priority this time of year! Just think about it......we sure had a blast at TL and if BB had been open it would have our # pick! SO FUN! :cool1:

I am interested in the group website but have a few questions......

can you guys lead me through the process step by step as to how to post a picture? Thanks. I have so many great ones for our last cruise sitting here on on memory chip and I don't have clue.

More than that, I have never tried and I have very little time to dink around. If someone could walk me through it, I know it could happen! :goodvibes

I would have popped on here last night, but my cold got the better of me and I went to bed early.
Yes, the hannomax website was set up for our 11/13 plaplaper cruise. (we called ourselves plaplaper's after our dinner rotation :teeth: ) We have a page set up for this cruise and if you would like to be inclluded, just pop onto the hannomax website and click "contact info" (bottom, left side of home page) and send an email to the webmaster. You can include a picture with that, too. Or just your travel info and we can get that up on the page. :sunny:

There might be some stuff on the technical board, http://disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=43 that might help you. I am a picture posting doofus, so I can't help, sorry.

Hi Everyone!

I'm looking for my friend Wendy (Vvanmom) :) Hopefully she will see my post!

Wendy, DH would like to know the families that are going with you on this cruise. Can you send me a PM please? The email I have for you is not working :(

Deb

DIS NURSE- THanks for all the wonderful info. We've been to DL many times during Thanksgiving week (we started back when it was a really slow time to go), but now it is crazy :scared1: that week. I figured WDW might be the same insanity, but with Jersey week the week prior to our cruise, it will be a zoo then as well. :crowded: We may just do one full day at one of the parks on Sunday (or AM at Animal Kingdom, afternoon somewhere else). Hadn't really given much thought much to the water parks (we live in CA where people swim late April through mid October- longer if the pool is heated). :sunny: We'll have the kids watch the video and see what their feelings are on going to BB. From what we've heard, WDW and DL have many of the same attractions. We've done Soarin' (for that matter, we've been to all the locations it soars over). The Tower of Terror is at WDW is different from the one we have in CA, so we'd like to ride it. Does anyone know if Expedition Everest is similar to Matterhorn (appearance is very similar)? We'd like to see Fantasmic. :wizard: That's about all that the kids have voiced, but I know things are MUCH more spread out in FL and we may not be able to see/do as much in one day at a park there as we can do in 1 day at DL/CA Adventure. BTW... we ususally spend 3-5 days at DL/CA Adventure, so the minimal time we have at WDW will seem like WAY too little time by our normal standards.

Expedition Everest is supposed to be WAY MORE :scared1: intense than the Matterhorn, from what I have seen and read.

You will have fun no matter what you do..... :goodvibes

As far as a half day trip to a theme park, Animal Kingdom is very doable, as IMHO, there is not very much there and the park is MUCH smaller than the rest. Although our kids like a few things, I thought it was quite boring and I would suggest a different park if you truly only have one day.

;)

Is Jersey Week really that bad?? Never having been to WDW, we were thinking of adding a couple park days before the cruise...not wanting to brave the crowds that we figured would flood the parks during Thanksgiving week. Wondering if we should just wait and plan a different trip...but, then, it's taken us this long to get to Florida as it is...

Any thoughts would help...Carolyn

Is there room for 4 more? DH is considering (finally) going on this cruise. It would be a go and come back cruise with no visits to WDW.

We have 13 and 14 year old DSs' when we actually cruise. We are friends of Wendy :)

Are there any other teenage boys going on this cruise? Will probably book next month.

Thanks!

Deb
