DIS NURSE...or should I say DizNurze :cool1:

I am not Jeanna BUT the only cabins that sleep 5 are Cat 4 and above....and as an example....I have some OLD prices for our cruise hanging around......
For 2 people.....
2 Adults:
Cat 11 - 1950.22
Cat 10 - 2030.22
Cat 9 - 2230.22
Cat 8 - 2530.22
Cat 7 - 2970.22
Cat 6 - 3170.22
Cat 5 - 3370.22
Cat 4 - 4050.22

This is just to give you an idea of the difference in Categories,,,plus you have to add in the addition people fee.....I say talk to your 'little darlings' before you cruise about 'family time' :crowded: and adult alone time' :flower3:

I booked my cruise through Sue Ellen at DU. They gave me the best price and I would have been willing to pay even a little more to use her. She's been handling my WDW trips and does a great job. (She'll be on the cruise with us too! Well...not with us, as in the same cabin, lol, but with us, as in on the same ship. :teeth: )

Thanks for the pricings and ideas.

Yup, you pinned the tail on the donkey when you said have a little chat with our "darlings". This time around they know what to expect and will feel more comfortable on the ship/activities,etc.

I am hoping they'll be a little more adenturous into the Clubs.....if even just for a while in the evenings.
The price difference probably won't justify me even considering it. But it's fun just to throw around ideas.

Our kids LOVED our last cruise and LOVED CC! We had such a great time! The shows at night were outstanding! I think about them often. :goodvibes

Can you believe we have posted over 200 times on this thread since Jan 1st? :rotfl2:

......at that rate.....do the math..... :confused3
the sky's the limit! :chat:

Carolyn, I've never been to DL, but I hear it's very similar to MK. We plan on doing Epcot too because I can't wait to take my son on Soarin' and he will also LOVE the dinosaurs in the Energy Pavillion!
I'm going to TRY to book AKL if I can swing it. If not, I'll do the timeshare that I was talking about earlier.
Jersey week isn't that bad at all. Just most of the crowd is from Jersey! That's all. It didn't seem much different to me last time we went.

Thanks, Rachel! It's so hard not knowing the area or, really, ever having heard of "Jersey Week," let alone being able to judge crowds in advance. I wasn't sure if we should try to switch our two days to Sunday/Monday...but, then, there's the Thanksgiving crowd to contend with...hmmm...We're thinking of splurging on Wilderness Lodge (transplanted Oregonian in southern CA). Can't really justify it, but it sure looks nice...

Ten months from today....:)

Carolyn

ahemmm, I have several things to say, most importantly

10 months till our cruise!

Regarding Jersey Week, this past Nov I would just call it 'active', not 'packed', as Rachael just said....everyone who is there, is from Jersey! It was also the last weekend of the F&W festival and super soap at MGM. I just stayed away from MGM on the weekend.

I didn't realize OUR SueEllen was at DU. That's good to know, as I'll probably transfer my reservation over to a TA when I'm 100% sure of the date (leaning VERY strongly to commit now). Also is the "Kim" some of you (cjsmom speak of the DISer know as iluvtink, as I know she is a Pixie Dust specialist too?

Carolyn when you go to MK be sure and do Mickey's Philharmagic, it's great and one of the things not a DL. What I really miss when I'm at Disneyland, is not having the Crystal Palace to go to for lunch.

Speaking of Disneyland, now wouldn't that just be a great spot for a pre-cruise meet for all of us left-coasters (or anyone else who wanted to drag themselves to California)? Hmmmmm, a weekend in late spring? Dinner at Storytellers? Cocktails in the bar at the Grand Californian? Rocking out at the House of Blues? I could be talked into that ::yes::

Regarding: Double-dip scoop away the pounds: For those who have already expressed interest, and those on the fence, I think I'll build a thread this weekend on the WISH forum for us, then I'll PM each of you with the link. If you've never been over the the WISH side.....it's a great bunch of people that offer tons of support!

OK must get settled in for a new episode of LOST......finally!

Catch ya on the flip side!

I am interested in Double-dip scoop away the pounds. After this Disney trip I will be back on my South Beach diet strong. I had lost about 50 lbs prior to our Oct cruise and would like to lose maybe 30 or 40 more.(I have since gained about 15 back.)

I am on AIM if the rest of you are. Do I have to do anything special to be part of the chat?

I will "come over" to the "dark side" of chatting when my crazy life allows me to explore and try it out!

Thanks again, Grayfal for trying to lead the blind! :flower:
I will be at my email tomorrow; yes, it's at my workplace only.
Next Tues I do not work so I will try my darndest! :chat:

Am I crazy to already be re-reading my Passporter tonight, searching for our "perfect" Cozumel excursion?

Too funny! I am already picking out our excursions. :rotfl:
When it comes to Costa Maya I am a little confused. I know you can Google "Costa Maya Excursions" and get a whole lotta selections on a pretty nice website that is somewhat informative. But, I guess what it comes down to, is what does DCL offer of those "excursions".????

Is there more complete info and offerings on the DCL sebsite specific to Costa Maya yet? I haven't checked yet.

I learned a valuable lesson our last cruise. For what it is worth, these are my thoughts based on our experience.....
We booked excursions ONLY through DCL. Part 'cause i was a newbie and afraid, part cause I had this feeling of security through DCL.

Boy, were we gald we did!
The Eastern Nov. 12th Magic had some rough seas and a tropical depression formed as we were out to sea! That made for ocean conditions less than desireable for St. Thomas and St. Maarten excursions that involved snorkeling or catamaran sailing! They still offered the excursions, however; DCL went the extra mile and offered your complete refund or credit if you didn't want to "buck up" and go anyway!

They were awesome to do that!
$$$$$ Saved us, big time! :teeth:

We did a fantastic excursion (non DCL) with several other DIS friends in Puerto Vallarta last summer. It was our only non DCL excursion. Several of us had children too young (ages 8 and 9) that wanted to "zip-line" and they were too young for the DCL excursion. We found a private group that would allow our 8 and 9 year old kids, and that would book all 20 of us together in the same reservation group. Our only difficult part was getting taxis to the starting point. We LOVED the experience though.

Speaking of passporters... does anyone know when the new edition of the passporter will come out that reviews the new iteniraries for 2006 as well as the drydock changes in the Magic?

April 9, 2006! I already have it marked on my calendar to get the newest one!!

Also, I started trying to eat healthy on Monday, and would like the link to the "scoop away the pounds" thread! And I'm loving that name!!

Cool, I put you on the list (there are five of us so far).

I sure could afford to lose 25 pounds pre-cruise. I don't have much willpower (explaining how the extra 25 pounds got there in the first place, lol) but I think I'd like to give it a try, so add me to the list! :sunny:

Carolyn you will LOVE the WL. It looks a little like the Grand Californian or whatever it's called.... but there are lots of redwood trees, great views and it's a boatride away from Magic Kingdom. Everybody has a favorite, and mine is the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Make sure you visit it while your there. Eat at BOMA. It's awesome!!!!! But the WL is my second choice (my DH and DF like the WL better!)

Okay, I hustled my fat rear end over to the other board. But I'm saying here first... my birthday is next week and I'm eating steak and cake. There, I said it. But I'll be good every day before and after.

I took 3 disney cruises already and have never taken an excursion yet. I'm the queen of finding something awesome to do on my own. I did my homework on cruisecritic and searched the port boards. My son is little so I couldn't snorkel or do anything wild. We've done a lot of beaches all over the place though!

for anyone that is interested....

have you read the thread about kids clubs not being open for unattended kids the first night?! My kids love the kids clubs and i am sad and upset they have changed this policy....you can see my opinion because i posted on the thread!

happy reading and email DCL if you disagree with this new policy!

Okay....Vicki says I am strong arming you :confused3 BUT for the 'chatters' what do you think about this..... :sunny:

Compiling a list of......
DIS Name, Real Name, IM name....send it to me pm...and I will send it out to the group involved...and keep updating the list......

what do you think???? (and I mean u Dis Nurse  )
