hmmmm....no comment LInda, aka Threadkiller! :earboy2: Pat's been joining you as a stalker, so thought I'd drop by and say Hey Y'all! Are Vicki and Jeanna in this bunch too? You Double Dippers are gonna have a great time with this crazy group!!! :goofy:

And, not that I'm competetive or anything :rolleyes1 but OUR cruise meets thread is up to 439 pages!!! You guys need to get chatting! :thumbsup2 :chat: :hyper2: :sail: :boat:
Yes I am a THREADKILLER. :guilty: I am painting that capital T on my forehead in neon green.

Yes Vicki and Jeanna are in this group, and it seems like all our 11/11/06 cruisers are a little on the crazy  side, so we should have a great time on the ship. Pikey better be ready for us! You get to see him first, so you should warn him about us. :teeth:

Is anyone besides me wishing they were on their cruise already???? I need details..this is killing me....my planning gene is freaking out...it needs to plan...I need info.... :rotfl2:

I think as our cruise gets closer we'll have a lot more to talk about. We've already planned for wrist bands and drink lists... we've discussed excursion options but we are FAR from over as to chatting!!! Some of us are just getting warmed up...:Pinkbounc

TGGRDisney - you BET - I know many of our folk who are just WISHING the summer away! But I need the work-out; healthy eating time to trim my caboose down so those poor dolphins can get me out of the water on the foot push!:cloud9:

I'm home for lunch - glad I popped in!

poohjen, nice of you to stop by. We are going to be neighbors soon. I saw you driving to work, if those are your vanity tags. You will have to fill us in when you get back.

Are we still up for chatting tomorrow night? I might be a little late, but I should be there. Will we be blessed by the presence of Pay and Peggy Jo?? Inquiring minds want to know. :rotfl2:

Rainforest Room: Last summer it was either $5 or $10 for the day if you had another spa treatment that date. Sometimes I had to wait for a tile lounger, other times no problem. If I had to wait, I would just go sit for a while in one of the sauna rooms. As for the showers in the room... hard to control the water temp. and the water flow was pretty constant (high pressure). Loved the scented sauna rooms, just remember to stay hydrated (they have water and herbal tea in the main room with the tile loungers). Worth the money for a day, and I agree with Hannosmom that I was busy having too much fun to go to the rainforest room more than one day.

Manicure/Pedicure... WAY over priced for my blood. I'm used to paying $30 for a GREAT spa pedicure (leg/foot massage, cuticle and callous care, you name it). It was about $50 for a pedicure at the ship spa, and the polish was wearing off at the ends of my nails 3 days later. Plus the service at my local spa was much higher in my opinion, without the sales pressure to buy spa products. In my opinion Jackie, take a spa day/afternoon before you leave for the cruise (can't ever hurt to pre-pamper). Plus, a bonus of doing it before the cruise is that you can make it a "social outing" with friends or your sis. On the cruise, my friend and I could not get appointments together (only starting 20 minutes apart), and our chairs were not close enough together to chat.

Hey Devin, while you're checking with Michelle and getting the hairdo photos, double check with her for what she's doing with the girls' hair too (how old are they by the way?). Thanks.

I plan on a pedicure BEFORE cruise (mostly because I'm too, um, frugal to pay that $$) but I thought a manicure would be a less expensive way to experience the ship's spa. Also, I'm so hard on my nails (and hands) that I'd have them trashed just schlepping my luggage around. At lease they could look nice ONE night.

So with the Rainforest deal, you get to use the sauna too? I thought it was just lounges and showers. Obviously I need to be doing a tad more research on this topic. Good to know that I might get a 'discount' if I do the manicure...I'll check that out with recent cruisers.

tggrdisney, I've been thinking about a LIST for the 5/27 double dippers! Maybe we need to post a thread telling them EXACTLY what 'our' expectations are for the LIVE reports...hehe.

Morning Double-dippers!

I plan on being at chat tonight but might be slightly tardy....gotta hit the chiropractor's office first.

I'm off to hunt down Veranda Man and find out about the special cake he got while on his cruise....I'm thinking we need REAL cake for our Double-dippers 'celebrate everything' luncheon! ::yes::

Peggy Jo - well, you've taken care of the drink lists, I'd say you're all set!! :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1

And I saw your sister's post on the "my one thing I'm looking forward to" thread - Very Sweet!

Y'all are going to have a great time with this fun bunch!! :cool1:

FGM - no, those aren't my plates, tho I have seen them too! Isn't that funny! pooh:

Have a beautiful day Everyone!

they will be 6 and 9

they will be both in a pineapple hairdo, or a rag curle. I have never seen that last one. So I can not say what that one is like.

Just checking in - hope all is well...Linda has promised me a tour with a hottie so I am in!

Hey Pat...
Would you add a comment on page one that says post #1923 has info on shipping packages to the ship. I know a few months from now some of us will be looking for that! ;)

When the time comes, we'll probably want to reflect which post will have the final/offical wrist band ordering information and the one for the DIS lunch party too.

Thanks!
Done..... :wizard:

I'm here, just spending a lot of time trying running kids around. Yesterday, I drove to Carlsbad and back TWICE (about 50 minutes each way from our house). Don't think that constitutes a real life (though it is a good one!), but it does keep me away from the computer!:)
Carolyn

I wish I was in Carlsbad - we stayed last year for our 25th anniversary at the 4 Seasons - to DIE for!!!
Can I go back now :lmao: , I will drive the kids for you :thumbsup2

It is beautiful there...DH works in Carlsbad, but I don't think he's out during daylight hours nearly enough to enjoy it. DS was at a day camp...that's why I was driving so much that week. You can come play taxi driver any time!:)

We're touring with the hottie (or his cohort...is he a hottie, too?? And, should we tell DH that we're touring with a hottie??) for the first tour of the day, too. We're going to have a big group with David and Ivan!! (Hope nobody warns them about us...)

Another day in soCal paradise here...

Carolyn

Add to the list of questions for the 5/27ers "what night is the castaway club reception?" We have 3 friends from our previous cruise traveling on the first double scoop cruise and I am really looking forward to their info!

BTW... just found out there are enough funds available to continue my job until the end of the year round school year (end of June). I'll know later this week if I have the position for next school year! :cheer2:

COOL!

double-dippers questions:

What is the menu 'theme' for the lunch buffet each day?

I'm sure many of these things will be the same as the regular Western itinerary...but we need to know for sure, don't we ::yes::

HORRAY for the Hannoman and GrayFal families doing the Native Choice tour!! I don't know if Ivan is a 'hottie' but I've heard wonderful things about his tour guide 'skills'.

My goal on this trip is to be packed and AWAKE to see the Pub Night show our final night....I hear it is hysterical :rotfl2:

David & Shelly, great 'meeting' you in chat tonight.

FOLKS...REMEMBER WE HAVE A 3000 POST GOAL FOR THIS THREAD....CHECK IN ONCE AND AWHILE, WILL YA?

Is the Pub Night show put on by Cruise Staff members? (Maybe I'm thinking about a different show -- something about a lighthouse "flash me once, flash me twice." Hmmmm.)

You guys talked with Dave in the chat last night. I was watching the country music awards and then went to bed! So, are you still shaking your heads about his groaner jokes? He enjoyed talking with you guys too, until the shoe talk started!
