Cozumel... I have myself and oldest DS scheduled for Atlantis Subs at 11:45, and hoping to get 2 youngers sons on at that time as well. If not, not sure if we will move to the later time or leave them on the ship.

Jackie, I KNOW!! Pretty bad report. And I PMed the lady and it was really even worse than that. I was pretty suspicious when i booked that this one and connecting rooms were the ONLY ones available. Like it had bad ju-ju or something. Of course, that room report is from July 05 and I think the Magic has been in dry dock since then. I have posted new threads off and on during the year trying to get someone, anyone! to tell me if they've been in that room since but with no luck. You really hate to pay this much for a vacation and plan for a year and then have this room with "issues!" If you look at the reports, too, on the Magic--the only ones with ones and twos are rooms right around this area. Weird.
Okay, I have until Monday to decide. Sigh.
By the way, room 6618 is the one Cat. 6 I could move to. One of YOU are in 6616 (rooms near stairs, elevators.) Does this person want to PM me so I could talk to you for a sec?
Melanie (the other one--in Mississippi)

6618 was our original room. We got upgraded and that is the only reason we moved out of it. The last time we cruised we found being close to the elevators was very nice and didn't find it too noisy at all. I do think that the room next door is fellow dis's so that should be a little comforting. I also thought that the further back in the boat the smoother the ride was. Goodluck with your decision.

Sorry about the spelling just came from a block party. :drinking:

Hi! we have been busy today!!!

DISTAG INFO:

i will hand out a packet of info to everyone with "rules" and room info but all gifts have to be delivered by noon Thursday, that way we can talk about them at lunch! this averages out to be about 4-5 per day......

everyone has the general idea....you start with the name below yours and tag them with a magnet and a bag (i provide the magnet to you!)...then when you get tagged, you take the magnet off your door and tag the next person on your list....i will be avaialable for any questions of course any time....tou can call me in cabin 5013!!!

Miatamel.......

i would go ahead and switch to the cabin near a DISer!!! that way you know the person next to you....and you know you have a good room before you cruise......then if the room is too noisy or something you can go to guest services.....sometimes it doesn't matter which room you have...if you have noisy neighbors the room may seem noisier that to some who cruise with quiet nieghbors.....

peace of mind is worth alot....switch now so you can have peace about this one issue!!! :hippie: pixiedust: :shamrock: :flower3:

did i ever tell you i inherieted my dad's housekeeping gene? my mom kept our house immaculate....i did not inherit that ability! :rotfl2:

so now my mom is coming to our house on tuesdayand i must clean!! i too have the cheapest manual labor in town ("you'll clean this room mister or no disney cruise for you!")

do you find yourself spending almost as much as the cruise on all the last minute things/clithes to buy!!!! it really adds up!! :rotfl:

Another late night for me....but this time I was CRAFTING! Yeah, finally made something :cool1: . So, tomorrow is the housework that I put off today and the final stuffing of the box to be shipped. Then I'll be READY TO GO!

There is a report about the double dip cruise for Oct Sounds like fun. One thing to note is about Cozumel. I had just heard the same thing from a girl at work as what I read on this trip report. There is not much of anything there. The big word is Excursions!! Someone told me about a place to eat there with the name Charlie in it. I am going to confirm that on Monday when I go back to work. She said the place is fun and the food was good.

Hi WendyJersey,

Thanks for the tip on Cozumel. Do you have a hyperlink to the trip report, or can you steer us in the direction?

Charlie in Cozumel is probably Carlos N Charlies? I've been there before and it is fun, and can get a little wild at night. Good guacamole.

I had read to go to the Reef Club Cozumel resort for the day, where for $40 adults ($20 kids) you get their all-inclusive wrist band for the day with all food/drinks and use their beach and pool.

Anyone have any thoughts on that?

Also, I've been to Chankanaub in Cozumel, and I think it was free to get in. (Maybe faulty memory). You can snorkel, swim, rent equipment, buy food/drinks etc. I seem to remember that it was easy to get a cab back too.

I'm on my way to Newport RI today (am actually in the Phila airport right now), and won't get home til Wednesday. So I have 2 days to pack and we leave Friday. Yeah!

When you get off the ship you are at the "retail" shopping space. To get a cab to Majahual go behind the shopping area. All of the cabs are back there and I'm pretty sure it was $3 per person. Leave yourself plenty of time to get back, the line for cabs in the afternoon was pretty long, although that was before Cozumel was opened to dock and there were 2 other ships at Costa Maya with us. That may not be the case now.

The vendors were of course pushy, but I didn't find it all that bad. The beach there is like a Corona commercial and we cannot wait to get back there for a great day! Here are a few pics...

I will get the link for the trip report. Thanks for giving me the name. The person at work said both names but wasn't sure :confused3 . That is great about the Reef Club. Sounds like a deal.

Well I was just checking in early to see if anyone had made it to 5500 last night. While you were in Phila you were only 25 miles from me. Are you leaving from Phila and when? We leave on Friday at approx 1:45PM. See you on this ship!!

we have had a rough couple of weeks over at our place - actually this whole year - and are more then ready for a vacation - anyone having any extra pixie dust laying around we could sure use it! we found out that our cat (who is 14) needs to get a biopsy done - the dr wants us to wait until we get back so we can keep an eye on her afterwards :(

That is a shame about your cat. pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: Here is extra pixiedust for you. I have been there many times and not fun. I hate when they get sick because you can't explain it to them :sad2: I hope all turns out okay.
Yummy on the pork roll. :yay: I can't believe that people can't get that everywhere, but I also here in Alaska they can't get scrapple. I love my porkroll on a roll with just mustard. Only if it is a coldcut kind of sandwich, like hoagies etc. Not on cheeseburgers which is something I rarely get anyway.
And yes isn't it great to say less than a week!! :Pinkbounc  :bounce:
