Hope everyone is having a great Halloween. I just took my crew out and had lots of fun. But boy was it HOT HOT HOT. Please send me some of the colder weather some of you are getting.

Well, we've had over a dozen trick-or-treaters so far, so I've got the aim all fired up and Sarah and I have been getting updated... I get to watch Gilmore Girls before we chat - so that's good.

Busy day at work, but the newsletter is in process so I can rest a bit more now.

I am going to pack this weekend - so I'll be done and ready to go!!! Yipee!

Happy Haloween Double Dippers!

Those of you staying home and passing out candy--count how many Pirates you get at your door. It will be fun to see who gets the most

I'm going to TiggersPal's house to help hand out candy (never get more than 5 trick or treaters at my place). I'm assuming we'll still be in chat (since the time change it's not till 8PM for us now). HEY PEG....are you cooking me dinner?

mom2of2, is that you at the other end of deck 7? I thought Peg and I were all alone at the back of the boat. I figure maybe we'll see some folks when they come check out the secret verandah. Who am I kidding, we'll hardly ever be in our stateroom except for morning coffee/tea and nighttime wine/hot chocolate.

Everybody thinking about what to bring to the SINGLE DIGIT DANCE PARTY? I'm leaning towards a well know Boma dessert, fried chicken catered by a rustic WDW eatery and, well, after my conversation with Mick MAYBE the Stones as entertainment. Still trying to narrow down who will be one of the celebrity bartenders

Only seven days left at work for me

I guess if you only count work days then I have 7 too. Got to love it.

Travel agent called last night that docs are in. (She apparently called last week also to let us know they'd be in this week but dh forgot to tell me.)

Now, I'm off to check my email for the navigator!!!!

DIZCruiser - I knew better than to use the "boat" term - so funny you caught it. My brother was in the NAVY and I learned at a very young age not to do it... it was kinda my little test to see who actually pays attention (I have issues...I know). SO YOU WILL GET THAT DRINK and congrats for playing!

Jackie - I'm bringing Sheppards Pie to the SINGLE DIGIT dance! Rachel Ray had it on her program yesterday (I recorded) and it looked delicious!!!! Maybe I should make tonight? I will substitute the lamb for beef of course (no lammies eaten here!!!!) How does that sound? I've got all my new cooking tools to use.

MOMof2 - make sure you stop by our stateroom - I guess it's just us on deck 7!

Pandamom - I was going to reply something but I've forgotten... I need to make notes and then post I guess.

Jack - keeping an eye open on 5000 I hope!

Dee - good challenge - I won't be able to help much as I have a newsletter to get out in the next week. But maybe I'll pop on before lunch time!

Thanks for the well wishes they are appreicated. This is the worst headcold I've had in a while. Nothing else bothering me, but this is taking me down hill by the afternoon each day. Hoping today was the peak and I should be coming out of it soon.

My cold symptoms started Sunday night ARGHHH!

I've been on Zicam every 3-4 hours, and pumping the kids full of Airborne so they don't catch it (I likely caught it from one of them anyway). I tell them over and over not to drink from my cup because I don't want their germies

At least it should be gone before the cruise!

Mine started Sunday afternoon with a tickle, but I knew it was a sore throat. Now the throat hardly hurts it is just my head...... and the all over feeling.

Guys,

I need some help. I am in a Cat 9 on deck 2 right now. I'm thinking of trying to upgrade at the port. I saw a post on the main board that said someone went from a cat 9 to a cat 4 for $832. I'd like to get into a cat 6, so I'm hopiong it will be in $400-500 range. If it's that cheap, I may just do it. So, I went a looked, and there are still 8 cat 6's. the problem is most of them are connecting rooms.

My question is, do I want to be in a room with a connecting door? Is that going to be really noisy? If I pay to upgrade and get a bad room, I'm going to be pissed and my wife will want to throw me overboard.

Anyone have a experience in a room with a connecting door?

We were lucky to get an upgrade. I found out just by chance when I was double checking our online forms. This is our first upgrade and can't say that I mind it.

As for online check in I did ours many months ago. I guess I was a little excited about the cruise. But at that time I had no problem getting in or out. My only problem was with booking with Palo. It would not let me book it and well now we have none. I'm hoping we can book some when we get on board Saturday. I guess we will have to play that by ear.

Dee the navigator is fantastic thank you so much for taking the time to do. Also many thanks to all who had help in it.

The last time we cruise with DIS we had connecting room and we never even heard our neighbors. I didn't find it to be a bothersome thing. So I wouldn't worry about that to much.

Ok, it's official: I can't keep up! You are some postin' crazy people! (This is my second checking in today and I am WAY behind.)

Now that that is out in the open, Can someone tell me: Is there any real news on this "announcement / celeb" thing? I saw that thread now has almost 800 posts!

Honestly, I am a little annoyed with the whole thing. Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like the DIS has been Hijacked by fake people? I asked a question about gowns and so far, Kelly Pickler and Ellen Degeneres have replied. I'm sorry, but there is no way I believe that those two have the time or inclination to answer my question on the DIS board.

Sorry, that's the end of my Vent. Now back to the regularly scheduled obsessive planning.

You are funny. Yes Ellen Degeneres most likely doesn't have the time. She is so funny. Watched her show when I was out of work and loved it.

I just called AAA. They just got our documents in today, and shipped them out. They should be here tomorrow or the day after.

Donna, my agent said she had two other people on our cruise, and just got their docs today too. So maybe you'll have yours in the next day or two also.

Finally got an email from my agent this morning that the docs are in... and get this.... she'll be shipping them via DHL THREE DAY service. Gee, thanks for the effort on shipping them. It only takes three days via regular mail, two days max via Priority Mail. So, I guess I'll have them Friday.
Guess I should really start packing now....

I'm all packed and ready to go, I was up until 3am yesterday ironing. I won't have any time to pack and get things together next week since I'll be working 12 hr nights all week. So, I'm looking forwards to the vacation. We are doing the dolphin encounter, the caverns tour, and the stingray excursion hopfully nobody gets stung! The three other families that were going with us backed out so now unfortunatly my nephew is upset that his friends won't be on the ship with him. Any 6-7 yr old boys that like sports especially soccer- that might want to play with my nephew Preston (he's a little shy) We'll see you around the ship!

while we are not fully packed - we do have most things laid out - dropped a few things off at the dry cleaners - and have a "short" list of things needed to be picked up - so hopefully all packing will be completed this weekend and we will be ready to roll!

i am happy to report that our documents did arrive yesterday (pat, i dont know why i ever doubt you especially since you have cruised more then me!) - i too tried to print out some things from the dcl site but got a message that all is currently down - so hopefully that will be done soon

My DS was feeling better around noon and by 5:45 was ready to go trick or treating. He of course was a

Jackie & Peggy- We are in 7044 and 7046 port side midship right next to the elevators. I was on deck 6 in adjoining cabins but upgraded to cat 5's about 3 weeks ago. I forgot to send Dee my updated cabin #'s so I'm not highlighted in the Navigator. I think it's 2littlemonkeys who is also on 7. It looks like all the decks are sprinkled with DISers.

My mom hasn't called to let me know if she got her docs yet.

oh - i forgot to report in

our doorbell rang once - there were 4 kids - 2 football players - & 2 "i dont knows" (perhaps they were just children?) but no pirates

on our last cruise we had an adjoining room to someone we didnt know - never heard a word the entire time - unless - we were both on the balcony at the same time - and that was pretty much only when we made an unexpected stop in nassau (after already having gone there) for a medical emergency to get off the ship
