November 10, 2007 - MAGIC - Eastern

Okay...deep breath.....relax. Can you handle it if there are NO RULES? Everyone is pretty much doing what they want. There are no hard and fast rules except to have a good time doing this. I personally will probable make 2 DIS Fairy visits to your statrooms over the week. I am pretty sure that I won't tell you who my gifts are from because I love driving other people crazy. Well not really, but, I like the suspense of trying to figure out where something comes from. I am sure that others will send notes with their gifts. Sometimes the gifts are just for kids, other times for adults! So do whatever you want and have fun. No, you won't be disqualified for a tote!

Maybe some of the other fairies would like to comment here! :santa:

I have 2 gifts as well, and I also won't be leaving notes. I have one gift for kids/adults and one just for kids. I am looking forward to sneaking around leaving the gifts. Though I do fear that I may be reported to security by some nervous guest - especially when I'm lurking near the Roy Disney suite trying to leave a gift without getting spotted!

Has anybody ever rented a car on St. Martin. My DD and I are on the 12 metre regatta excursion in the morning and want to tour the island in the afternoon.

Also while we are in St. Thomas we are on a Jet boat in the morning. We want to head to St. John in the afternoon. Any suggestions on the best way to get their not via a Disney Excursion.

Any suggestions is appreciated.

First off, welcome TwoKings!

Now, here's my silly first timer question. I went to fill out the Bahamas immigration form, and section 2 is a bit confusing. It asks how many nights you are staying. Are we supposed to put 1 since Castaway Cay is in the Bahamas, or do we put 7 because we are on a seven day cruise? :confused3 I read another thread on this, but there was no consensus. I asked my TA and she was very helpful, she told me to ask at the port. I figured the experienced folks on our meets thread might have some insight for me.

Thanks much!
Michele

Also, I called the Perfect Gift today to order a birthday basket for DS and honestly, I was kind of torn about doing it. Whether it was worth the money, etc. After I talked to the woman (not Shirley, but I forget her name) I was pleasantly suprised. She was so enthusiastic and the way she described what she would create for him was so exciting, it totally made my doubts go away. They are going to customize the food/drinks because DS hates juice, candy, cookies, etc, and decorate it for his birthday with a Mickey theme for "Mickey's boat" as Connor refers to it. He is going to be so excited when he sees it in the room! :cloud9: Anyone who is waffling about ordering a basket, call and talk to the folks at the shop, you may be suprised, as I was.

Michele

Michele,
What did you order? I am calling her today. I think I will get the 2 large buckets and make one for the girls and one for the boys. I think I will ask her to put in some HS musical stuff for the girls and Cars stuff for the boys. $$$$$$

I left that section blank too. I was not sure what to do. Technically we are not even there 1 night.

Cheryl,

I ended up getting the small sand pail with sand toys (one less thing to pack), snacks and water. I also added the Mickey water bottle. I had everything personalized with his name and she is going to put stickers on everything with a birthday Mickey theme.

The great thing was they could customize it with pretty much anything you wanted. I had to have them take out all the candy and juice and she is going to put in Connors favorite snacks instead. She wanted all sorts of details about his likes and dislikes so we didn't get anything in there that he didn't want. She even asked about food allergies. Definitely pricy, but worth it in my opinion given the service!

Sorry for the long response!

Welcome 2 Kings! My husband Mark and I and Phelpsies DH are doing the 12 Metre in St. Martin too! I can't tell you anything about car rentals though. I plan to shop a little and DH can go back to the ship if he wants after the excursion.

I am here at work but all I can think about is vacation! :rolleyes1 I have my box of Dis stuff and other goodies in my car and it needs to go to the UPS store at lunchtime. I sure hope there are no problems with shipping. My Fish extenders and door magnets are in there! :scared1:

Thanks to everyone for their well wishes on my son's cold. I hope no one else gets sick, we are so close now!

Jajsmom, congrats on your son's pic in the flyer, that's really cool!

I've used Perfect Gift 3 times before and order 3 baskets for this cruise coming up. I highly recommend them! Shirley and her staff are the best!! :goodvibes

Here is the current roll call which appears on page 5. Let me know if you have any changes or updates.

Woody

AnnD - Ann, DH Jim four kids (5 - Kathleen, 3 - Andrew , 21 mos - Declan and 5 mos - Sean). (KREquadt's sister. Toronto.)

[/SIZE]

With all these young kiddos, I better have a husband too! I turn 36 the day before the cruise, my niece (KREquadt dd) turns 6 on Nov. 8, we are celebrating my mom's 65th (which was in April but anything for a party) and it is my parent's anniversary on Nov. 12th (but my dad isn't coming - don't ask, we don't understand why either).

We leave next Tuesday so it will all start soon.

So my curiosity got the better of me and I called to find out the movies for our cruise. COnsidering I never had a chance to set foot in the Buena Vista theatre on my last 7-day cruise, I might be dreaming. Oh well, here goes!

Wild Hogs
Meet the Robinsons
Bridge to Terabithia
Pirates - at world's end
The Invisible (from Hollywood Pics - for the adults!)
Ratatouille
The Game Plan
Underdog

We leave in 8 days for SeaWorld! Can't believe after all this planning and waiting that it will finally be here!

I also called inquiring if the new movie Enchanted might be playing. Official release date id 11/21. They didn't say this movie will be playing on board the week of our cruise. But they did also state Dan in Real Life will be playing.

I just placed my order with The Perfect Gift today. I got DS (3) the Pirates Basket: water, juice, snacks, and pirate paraphenelia and I got DD (7) the small sand bucket basket with a Tinkerbell theme. They were very accomodating and willing to make changes!!!!!!!:yay:

Also, Purple Princess, I think I got a message from you, but when I tried to open it, it was empty. Don't know what happened. Maybe try again?

I also called inquiring if the new movie Enchanted might be playing. Official release date id 11/21. They didn't say this movie will be playing on board the week of our cruise. But they did also state Dan in Real Life will be playing.

I really want to see Enchanted as well, but I suppose it won't be playing given that its official release date is after our cruise. Oh well, there will be plenty of other stuff to see and do!
