Good morning people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:goodvibes

Keep your finger crossed, maybe my TA will have to time to care about my flight arrangement this week:rolleyes1

I will keep you in my prayers in hopes you can get everything straightened out!

I had a little bit of bad news myself. Originally we were scheduled to touch down in Orlando at about 9 a.m. on Saturday. That way we could have gotten to the port by 11 a.m. and comfy on the ship somtine around lunch. But now I find out that our flight has been delayed for 2 hours so now we arent getting into the airport (assuming everything is on time and that is a BIG assumption) untill 11. So best case we will not be getting to the port until around 1 p.m. So we will be lucky to be on the ship by 2:00 so that has made me grumpy!

Cnice,
Where are you flying out from? I am sorry you are bummed! I think we are in the same situation as you. We are coming in from Chicago on United and supposed to land at 10:08. If there are any delays...we are toast. If I knew then what I knew now I would have definitely have flown the day before.

That is why we are flying in the night before. At first we booked to fly in the day of, but then I started to have dreams:scared1: of how I would explain to dd that mickey left with out her.

Flying in the night before just gave me some peace of mind.

Yipee!! So glad you got your info!

And MORE Shopping?!! OH NO! I think my husband will kill me! :scared1:

any more "cruise expenses" and I think he's gonna scream! No seriously...he thinks i've lost it! with all my disboard stuff!! But hey...that's HALF the fun!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Ah I see another woman with a husband like mine! He has been seeing me work on the computer and keeps asking me what I am doing. I told him it is surprises and told him to politely bug off. Between all the money I have spent on magnet paper, costumes (we are using for them for Halloween too), matching shirts, seasickness meds and other little stuff I have spent a lot. That is nothing compared to what I expect to spend over the course of 10 days that will include what I expect to be another booking. I guess though that is why I work! :rotfl:

Hi all! DS's Bar Mitzvah was this past weekend and all went well :yay: . But now I have some serious cruise planing to catch up on! I can't believe that it's less than a month, and I haven't done anything yet. Usually I have my door signs done, and the family is sick of me talking cruise 24/7. Well, now they'll be in for a treat :rotfl: .

I've got several pages of posts to catch up on. Anything important I've missed while I was gone? Have we decided on meeting places or what we're going to wear to recognize each other?

Off to do some board reading. Be in touch soon.

Hey guys, I've you prepared, and printed tips enveloppes???

I saw that in an other thread, and I think it was never mentioned here:confused:

If you have some, would love to have the link to make some too;)

We usually just use the envelops that DCL gives us. And we just put our tips on credit cards. This girl loves that plastic:lmao: . We usually have a stack of $1 bills for room service tips.

I am so glad that your sons party went well!
I recall someone saying something about Mardi Gra beads and meeting up about 3 near a pool, but I don't recall which one.

How many of you are letting your Ds & DD's that are 8 or 9 sign out privaledges from the kids clubs?

I wan't going to let my DD8 do this because I want to know where she is, but people on the main thread had some good ideas for this. Just wanted to know what other people think.

My DD was 8 on our first cruise, and 9 on our second cruise. We let her have sign out priveledges both years, but with several requirements. She had to sign out only when her older brother (he was 11 and 12) also signed out. They were only allowed to come back to the room. You are given a pager from the kids clubs, and we taught them to use them to let us know if they were going to go anywhere else, together. They also had to leave a note in the room.

My concern this year is that DS will be in the teen club, so my DD is suddenly "alone." But both kids know the ship really well, and are very responsible. And DD will need to spend some quality time in the stateroom this year, as her teacher will be giving her significant homework (DS had the same teacher in 5th grade).

That reminds me, has anyone let their kids teachers know they will be missing school yet? I guess it's getting to be about that time. Yet another thing to do!

i guess i'm gonna be lonely down on deck 2 (is that where i am? I think so....first cruise ya know...) we're in 2614 (for now, i'm still praying that number magically changes).

If you think you're lonely, we're down in the dungeon! We're on deck 1, but it's by choice. It's our third time booking the same room, but we did upgrade at the port last year to deck 7. We like being low down, and it's great exercise using the stairs everywhere.

Lauri,
I have only mentioned it to my Second Grade Daughter's teacher. I am really dreading telling my fourth grade daughters teacher. My mostly A some B daughter is struggling more this year in 4th. So I am very apprehensive about telling her teacher. :teacher:

Thanks Cheryl.

I guess I should be looking for some lime green Mardi Gras beads now too.
