DD has croup - yay!! But we got her to the doc yesterday and got an oral steroid, so despite the fact that she has pretty much lost her voice - she's cleared to go on the trip and the doc says it will be all gone by the time we get aboard.
Do you have any idea how impossible it is to understand a whispering, cranky 4 year old with laryngitis??
Hey Yndy, I feel your pain. DS had croup at least 5 times per year until he turned four, now he just gets bronchitis. The oral steroid works great though, if you can get them to take it - Connor gagged it out at least once because it tastes so bad. They give a steriod shot at the hospital which avoids that problem, but that was always preceded by a terror filled trip to the ER in the middle of the night because he could barely breathe. Long story short, I feel for you, but the steriod is going to work just great and DD will be bouncing around when you board!
