Hi!

DH and I booked this trip the day that the cruises were released. It will be our 17th cruise (16th on DCL) and to say we are hooked is pretty much an understatement. DH is semi-retired but I still work and we have three grown and married children with our first grandchild on the way in August.

Count us in!!! Glindamood (Gail) had to twist my arm, but I finally agreed to board the Fantasy on 11/1/14!

It'll be me, DH Dave and friend, Carla. This cruise will be DCL #22 for me! First time on the Fantasy.

We have three kids - all married - each has two kids. Just love my 6 wonderful grandchildren - who by the way, are all Castaway Club members!

Looking forward to meeting all of you!

Jan

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :goodvibes

Have a great cruise!

Just booked this the other day. It will be me, DH and daughter will be 12 at the time of cruise. It will be our 6th Disney cruise. We've been on the Fantasy (1), Dream (2), and Magic (2).

We have several friends that we've met on other cruises that will also be on the cruise. I'm really looking forward to this itinerary!

It is a new week and I am already looking froward to the weekend. Hope everyone is doing well. Just wanted to bump this back up to page one!

:welcome: I have met some of the best people ever on a DCL cruise. We are going to have an awesome time.

Hi Lois and Janet! Hope you are both well - looking forward to sailing with you again.

Well, got back from our WDW trip Thursday evening. It was our first trip to the Flower and Garden Festival and I really enjoyed it. We stayed at BLT which was also pretty interesting - got to watch the fireworks in the MK from our balcony most every night.

Guess I need to get off here and get that last suitcase full of stuff (at least it is all clean) put away. Heading to DS's house for the day as middle DS and his wife are here for the weekend.

Take care and enjoy your weekend!

I have booked this as our FIRST Disney cruise. The current list of participants is myself, Tom, celebrating my 60th birthday during the cruise. My long suffering wife, Diane who will be joining me in our rear facing balcony cabin on deck 8. Also booked is our daughter, Jennifer, her husband Dan and their two boys, Owen and Evan who will be 5 and 3 during the cruise. They have a large window cabin (the boys are climbers) just around the corner from us. Next door to them will be our son, Jeremy and his wife Stephanie and their new baby, due to be born near the end of this year. This is a first cruise for a lot of them, and about number seven for us, but our first on Disney. I have also invited a lot of friends and family and am hoping to fill five or six more cabins before all is said and done.

Because we only live two hours from the pier, last Saturday we drove up and had a late lunch at "Fishlips" on the water, and got some video of Fantasy leaving for a seven day trip. I may edit a bit and put it up on Youtube or somewhere in the next few weeks.

Thanks for having us!

Welcome Tom, Family and Friends!!! You may fill up the whole ship before we sail next November!

What fun it will be to celebrate your 60th with the family, especially aboard a Disney ship. All of us on this thread are repeat DCL cruisers. If you, Diane or anyone else has questions, one of us is bound to be able to help. The DIS board is a wealth of information.

Fishlips and Grills are great places to view the ships heading out to sea.

This cruise, it'll be me, DH Dave and Carla, one of our daughter's mother-in-law. No kids or grandkids on this cruise.

:welcome: Tom and family! We are also celebrating our 60th birthdays on this trip but mine is in May and DH's is in September so the official dates will be past but that is pretty close. We are in 9674 so if you are below us - we will try and keep the racket to a minimum. I don't remember hearing anything on our last trip - from the next door neighbors or the cabins below or above us either.

I was bad earlier this week - my ticker has changed and we added a Dream cruise for this October. We saw so many DCL buses while in the parks earlier this month that we could not stand it that we were not on one that I booked Monday. Would have been out of the question but since that trip is on Southwest and they don't charge a fee plus the difference to change our flights, I just changed them. Had I booked on Delta, it would have been out of the question.

We are heading to Ohio tomorrow to see spend the weekend with my Mom and visit with DH's Mom as well. Everyone have a safe and fun weekend!

Gail - we may see you and David on the Ohio Turnpike tomorrow! We're heading to Morgantown, WV for the weekend. We'll be back in Michigan Tuesday evening.

Glad you booked another cruise! Book another one on the Magic for next February!

See Tom and Family - you'll get hooked!

Wishing everyone a safe holiday weekend.

Hello Gail,

As it turns out, I'm also celebrating my birthday a little late. Actual date is the end of September, but I prefer to wait for most of the hurricane season to be over before we cruise. Also, the price on this cruise was down just a little from some of those later in the month.

I was wondering where you lived in Michigan. I sold my farm, two and a half miles south of Bronners in Frankenmuth when we moved to FL some seven years ago.

Tom in Okeechobee, FL

Tom - you're a former Michigander!!!! We live near Lansing, less than 2 hours from Frankenmuth. We're originally from Detroit suburbs.

Jan

Jan - we are off the turnpike and at my mom's. Traffic moved right along but was heavy. Glad to be out of the car!

Tom - we live in Cadillac but our oldest was married in Frankenmuth. Bronner's is my favorite store!

There's nothing like being on one Disney cruise to beget another one :-) My daughter and I just got off of the Fantasy on a Western Caribbean cruise last Sat, and while on board, we booked the the Nov. 1 Eastern. The Fantasy is a beautiful ship, and we didn't get much time to explore it the way we wanted to. We had three Port excursions (not counting Castaway) and we saw the Mayan ruins on two of them. Seeing these was something I had wanted to do my whole life, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Nonetheless, we did not get the chance to explore the ship the way we wanted to and we are glad that we will have three at sea days on the Nov 1 cruise, so we can relax and have time to explore the ship. We were also excited about the different itinerary to San Juan, and chose this sailing for that reason. I look forward to chatting with you all over the next 17 months.

Mary
