My friends will be there the same day as you. I show up on Friday.

Here's something I wanted to post to give you guys a good laugh:

Background story - The group my DH works in decided to do a fun fundraiser to raise money for victims of Hurricane Ike. The way to donate money? To sponsor a mustache. Yes, that's right... a mustache. The longer the men grow the mustache, the more money that is given.

I told my DH that he's shaving on 10/30 NO MATTER WHAT. No way I'm having him go on the cruise unshaven. I'm just not used to him with it.

So that's basically what we're doing to pass the time till our big trip. Well that and finally finishing up my magnets!

They have already made contact.... DS14 is like..." hey mom, some chick emailed me for the cruise, sweet"....so I guess in teenage lingo, he's happy.

They were quite "talkative" last night. Emails, IM's and pictures were exchanged.

DD(14) is also emailing pluto's daughter and bfosbenner's daughter. Thanks for the PM's.

Glad that DD is reaching out to make some friends on the ship. She stuck to us like glue on our last 4 night cruise. (13 was just too young for the teen club.) It would be nice if she had some fun with the kids on board this trip. She'll probably try out Ocean Quest and the Stack - to see which is a better fit. I told her they have a Wii in the Stack, maybe that will tempt her to go check it out this trip.

In 2 weeks we'll be trying out the new Toy Story ride at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Two weeks from today we will be at the airport waiting to board our plane and then headed to the Wilderness Lodge Villas! I am so excited for this vacation! Since June and having my appendix out and now have been diagnosed with a heart condition I can so use this vacation!! I can't wait to relax!

How about Tom Santosalvo? I was just telling my friend about this and she said her husband used to know some Widas- his house is on the Blvd in N. Beach- it was his Aunt Dot's. I have a funny Widas story to tell you when we meet, too...

Really, this is soooo funny! I LOVE it!!!

Tom is not ringing a bell to me. There were 2 Wida families on LBI, all related however. I was the Brant Beach crew and my cousins owned another resturant in Bgt. Lt. He's living in Hawaii now...lucky stiff. I can only imagine the stories coming from the hotel or the Hud. On closing night we had a HUGE party and the stories were hysterical. The spackle marks were still in the ceiling over bar from where my dad feel through from 2nd floor as a kid. Many very good memories of growing up there. I miss it every day.
Can't wait to meet up and chat, so much fun !!!

If anyone has booked their ground transporation with FL Tours - YOU NEED TO CALL THEM. My friend, who booked our ressie, finally go through to them today. Their server crashed and they have lost most of the ressies. They seem to not be getting emails all the time either. We had to rebook our ressie.

Just wanted to make sure no one got left without transporation.

Thanks for the informaton with Florida Tours, I just got off the phone
with them, yes they did lost all of the reservations, I was on the phone
with them for about 45 minutes, had to rebook everything. The are not
receiving any of their e-mails at this time, so you must CALL to get
your reservation back,

Dh has decided to rent a car both ways. We hope to be able to see our family on the Sat. before we fly home.

I think we are going to do a load on Friday at the POFQ and hope not to spill too much.... Of course I am the QUEEN of dripping stuff on me, so we shall see

I told my DH that he's shaving on 10/30 NO MATTER WHAT. No way I'm having him go on the cruise unshaven. I'm just not used to him with it.

I love it!! My DH told me he wanted to grow a beard (he currently sports a goatee) and I said NOT until after the cruise. I refuse to go on vacation with a mountain man!!
