Welcome Cmbar! If you want wristbands for your family check out page 56 of this thread and let me know.
#1 MUST DO on the ship for a first timer--I'd say rebook another cruise onboard!
The reason I say that is that we didn't and then it was only a couple weeks later that we decided that we HAD to go on another cruise and we missed out on the $200 shipboard credit and 10% off for rebooking while onboard.
Weather--it can vary. I'd say shorts and capris, but it doesn't hurt to pack a pair of long pants. It gets chilly on the ship because of the air conditioning, but otherwise it is very nice. We were on this cruise in 2004 a couple weeks earlier and the weather was beautiful--warm and in the 80s most of the time.
Formal Wear--there is a very broad definition of this for Disney cruises. No shorts or jeans even for regular nights, but you see very casual pants and shirts with collars, to shirts and ties, to suits, to tuxes. DH wears a shirt and tie for semi-formal and a jacket for formal.
