My DH and I are joining you on this cruise (!!!)
We are quite excited as this will be our 5th cruise with DCL, but we have some friends joining us, and it with be their first trip.

Hello Everyone! We will also be joining you on the Nov1 Cruise!!! We are so excited. We just got off the Wonder on Thursday for the 4 night and after doing the 7 night last Feb it was just too short! It seems like its so far away but all good things come to those who wait!! Here is a picture of our family last week on the Wonder.

Some friends of mine on the cruise are already being asked to decide what time they want to dine at night.

So my research begins already! I thought I would just get to shop and dream for awhile . . .

Ok it's freezing here in NJ today and all I can think about was last week at this time we where in the Magic Kingdom and it was 75 degrees. Can we just fast forward through time and get to our cruise already??????

ok well its official I put down my deposit today to dreams unlimited. We had inquired about a price onboard last week on the Wonder but never gave a deposit. When we got home we researched the price and found we got a great price onboard the ship. We could have kicked ourselves but ended up only paying a couple hundred dollars more. Oh well I'm just so excited that's it official!!

Planning is such fun! Our eldest will be 7 and she already has her tinkerbell "cover up" for the pool and a pink beach backpack.

I saw the over the door thingee at CVS for $5 today. Didn't look at the construction, but it would have to last a week, right?

Now to find out whether the divers like Grand Cayman or Cozumel better.
Oh, the decisions I must make.

jbl - just think of what you would have paid if you waited too much longer - I'm sure you still got a great deal! =)

I know that's why I didn't want to wait. As the cruise books up Disney raises its prices so the sooner the better.

What is everyone's plans as far as arriving in Disney. Do you plan on arriving the morning of the cruise or are you arriving a day or two early?? I always usually arrive the day before but that's Halloween and my kids will be 5 & 8 at the time we cruise. Do I arrive the day of the cruise and the kids can do Halloween at home or do I arrive early and do the whole trick or treat thing at the Magic Kingdom?? Anyone have any ideas???

Well, it's nice to see I'm not the only one who was thinking about Halloween '08!

I know that DCL has done trick or treating during the week of their cruises. Since it's on the day before our cruise, maybe they'll do something for our cruise, too! If they don't maybe we could do a "DIS and Treat" for the kids. Hmmmmm...maybe the adults could Trick or Treat at Palo where they would give us chocolate souffles!

Of course you can always go to MK that Friday before our cruise and enjoy Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party, too.

I was planning on arriving the night of Halloween - after Trick or Treating. I would rather trick or treat at WDW, but I've heard it's really crowded on Halloween night.

Hmmm.

I've also read that some people have been very disappointed with how DCL handles Halloween - not much to do for the kids (I read a trip report wherein the OP organized his own trick or treating on board).

We plan to arrive Friday evening. DD will probably do a half day at school. Hopefully, after flying to MCO we'll drive to Cocoa Beach and spend the night. Twice we stayed at the Radisson, and the last time we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express. Who knows where we'll stay this time?!

Re: Halloween

Interesting thread on DCL and Halloween. We might have to arrange our own Trick or Treat. Hmmm...suitcase space filled with DIS Halloween candy means (take home) suitcase space for more souvenirs!
