November 1, 2008 "Election Day Castaways!"

I figured brunch in KWD is fine... You can walk off the calories before you hit up the Blonde Giraffe...

:rotfl: :rotfl: A very good point! We have brunch then, too!:goodvibes A few of us do, i think- maybe we can get our tables together..:thumbsup2

KW = Just walk around Mallory Square and check out our usual watering holes and shops. Been there a gazillion times.

Cayman = Boatswain Beach for my soon to be Marine Biologist son, he's dying to play with the turtles. My boys are Pirate and Turtle freaks.

Cozumel = Thinking of Playa Mia

For those that have done/been there before, insight would be wonderful. Not planning on any Palo reservations for we really want to experience the ship through the kids this time around. Plus with lapband, It will kill me to see all the great food and only morsel it !!! Haven't decided on spa yet, maybe a massage, god knows by weeks end I will need one.

We have brunch that time also...I say the more the merrier!!! I agree, I think a good walk after that decadence will definitely reduce the impact....and the guilt !! :thumbsup2

Hi ya'll! Sorry to have dropped off the face of the earth, lol. Things were crazy busy for a while, but have calmed down now. I should have more time to check in now ;-)

I hope everyone is well, and I'll pop in more now ;-)

Jenny:

I would love to have this personalized with our family info.

Is that possible?

I would also like to do iron ons for Family T-shirts. Which color would be best?

thanks SO much!

Yes I can certainly personalize these! So sorry I've been MIA, but just let me know what you want on it and I'll do it ASAP (that goes for everyone!).

Jenn

Which night of the cruise is formal night? I wasn't sure how to tell.

Also, does anyone know if we can find out what our dining rotation is now? Or do we have to wait till we board the ship?

TIA! :goodvibes

Formal night is Sunday, Semi Formal night is Thursday.

You won't find out your rotation until you get on the ship.
There used to be a way to get an IDEA of what it might be, but it sounds like they are monkeying with the rotations lately.

Tink4EVR...Glad to have you aboard! I've added your name to the crew on page 1. If I have missed anybody, please let me know so I can add your name to the list of "Election Day Castaways" on page 1.

Tinapomp... DCL was changing the dining rotation order recently where they were repeating a dining room two nights in a row. I'm not sure if they're still doing this, or plan on doing it this fall. Maybe someone else has some insight on this. My best guess, is we will have to wait for the post dry dock cruises to see what the rotations will be.

jenny2...glad to hear from you! Isn't it amazing how life can get in the way of important things like...our cruise!

I thought Formal Night was on Monday when we were at Sea as to not interfere with shore excursions.....am I wrong?:confused3

So the Disney movie Bolt is coming out on Thanksgiving. Does that mean we get to see it during this sailing?

WOW, I just tried to make Palo Brunch res and none were available online!

When you board try to make Palo brunch reservations. I believe they may hold back some availability.

Just received a call from DD who is visiting her grandmother. Good news... Nana made our fish extender! DD says I'll love it. However, she refuses to tell me what it looks like. She kept saying I won't get to see it until our cruise. DW, who obviously has a clue about this just smiles at me, and says "wait and see".

Got our FE in mail yesterday and it's gorgeous. I'm more excited than ever now to get packing and moving on this trip. WE are all getting closer to hearing that horn !!!:cool2:

Hi, brand new here and also cruising on the Nov 1st cruise! It will be our 5th Disney Cruise, and our 2nd Western Carribean Disney Itinerary. Did our online checkin including The Kids Clubs for both DDs. Got Palo on Key West night, since its the day that will be the least exciting as far as dining (probably Parrot Cay that night, and a regular casual dining night)

Looking forward to the trip, so close but yet so far!!:cheer2:

Glad to have your crew on the manifest! Your name has been added to the "Election Day Castaways" list on page 1. Sounds like you've been busy with making Palo ressies, and already checking your DDs into the clubs! Do you have any plans on having a Fish Extender? Any other excursion plans?

We received our flight information this week. We booked our flights through DCL. Originally, we were told that flight information would only be available a month in advance. We have stop overs in Charlotte, NC both going and returning. While slightly inconvenient for what is normally just over a 2 hour flight, the only concerns this raises is that lost luggage and missing the connection might be more likely. Anyone else book through DCL and are leaving from Newark, NJ?

My niece and I stopped at Walmart and Michael's today and bought fabric for our fish extenders. We also found pillowcases with Princess pictures and Pirates pictures on them at Michael's to use for character autographs. First, we'll have to color in the pictures with fabric markers because they are crafts from Michael's, but they should work well for getting autographs.

Since this is our first trip, we'll finally get to reserve our excursions next week. For over a year, I planned to go to Tulum, but I finally caved and decided to do an island tour of Cozumel instead. I'm hoping I don't regret the decision, but it seems to work better with the Pirate party and everything else.

It's had to believe it's only 82 days away.
