Parade starts at 12N and goes from Town Hall to Citizens Bank Park. Depending on your flight time I-95 is going to be horrible. They are anticipating by news this a.m. over 100,000 people or more to be there....which is INSANE. We fly out tonite and miss it all, but I am headed to Dick's first thing this morning and plan on wearing my RED shirts down proudly !!!!

Thanks for the info. I'm dreading it already. We'll leave right from school at 2:30 and hope for the best, the flight is at 7:30. Is there a better way to go to avoid some of it, we're coming from Howell? Thanks again.

We have 2 adults and 2 7 year olds. I've been putting things out and the DH has been packing it - now he tells me we have 7 bags....2 suit bags (1 full, and one with a few things) 2 larger suitcases (1 with the kids clothes and one with mine & DH's) 1 smaller suitcase for the weight overflow from the adult bag, 1 bag with everyone's shoes and 1 toiletries bag....I think we have too many bags - he doesn't...what do the more experience cruisers think??? Nothings packed heavy...we erred on the lighter side, and took more bags..

DW and I had the same conversation this morning. For two of us and DS 11 and DS8 we have a total of 6 bags plus carry on. One bag is just for shoes and one for costumes and FE Gifts..should be a little lighter coming home. Two carry on bags are for cameras and such so I guess we're OK. Since I booked air early, we're allowed two bags each up to 50 lbs (One is at 49.5 !! ). Anyway, I don't think you're too overpacked, if so then we both are. We're leaving tonight for an all nighter but we do have first class going east, but not west. (I used my Skymiles for this trip). See you all there. I'm an Angels fan but CONGRATULATIONS Phillies!!!

OMG, the luggage!!! It is soooooo hard to pack for this, between the formal/semiformal/pirate night/pants in the dining room, halloween costumes...We have 3 suitcases and 1 hanging bag to check, I bought a new piece of luggage yesterday so I could have another one that was big, but not TOO big, LOL it's red with white polka dots- a Minnie Mouse suitcase! Then we have 1 carryon suitcase with shoes, 1 duffle, and 2 more carryons, one for fe gifts, even though I already sent down a 20 lb box of stuff 2 weeks ago!!

I will be sooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy to sit down on that plane tomorrow!!!!

I think we're okay - our flight leaves out of Philly at 9:55 am tomorrow...but who knows...we'll probably leave our house around 6:30 for the 1 hour ride.

DW is taking the guinea pig and rabbit to their "vacation ranch" this afternoon. The neighbor is prepared to feed the fish. All we have to do is finish packing, complete the lineups for the mid November swim meet, print out boarding passes...

and beg tomorrow afternoon's pilot to fly by Citizen's Bank Park prior to landing in PHL. I want to see the Philliesparade!

The last time the Phils won the World Series we partied on Broad St. The rumors spread that all SEPTA lines were free. Unfortunately, we found out it wasn't true, so we hitched a ride back to Temple U on the roof of a car! Ah, the good old days!

Trying to decide if I should take another bag or not...so far I have 3 bags to check for me, DH and DD (3). The problem lies in that one of the bags weighs 48.5 pounds according to my scale... Thinking I should take some stuff out and put it into a small carryon size bag and check that...still would only give us 4 checked and 3 carryons...not to bad...
