Sooooo excited. Just closed on 160 BCV points with TSS and they say I should be able to make a resi in 7 days. I am looking at the middle of Nov 09 so I will be right at the 7 month mark. Any idea of the availability at BCV? I have heard that it is not very busy at that time of year.

Congratulations and welcome home!!!! I have not stayed at BCV so I can't address that part of your question as I am a new member myself.

Depending on when you go in November, BCV is always tough, but especially around Thanksgiving. Check out the reservation availability site below and that will give you some idea of what's available. Obviously that's only updated from individuals on these boards so it's not complete, but it still will give you some idea.

Not very busy, meaning the parks and the resorts does not necessarily include DVC resorts. There really doesn't seem to be a low occupancy time at any DVC resort any more. That being said, if you book at 7 months and are flexible with the resort and villa type you desire, you should have no problems. Welcome home!

Studios and 1 bedrooms were still available last week for the 1st weekend of Nov. which is the end of F&W and also Jersey week. I think you'll have a good chance especially as long as you can get something before the 7 month window opens.

Thanks for your feedback. I think I would like to avoid F&W and Jersey week if possible. We were there 2 years ago during that time and we now have a toddler. The pool area was a little crazy for my tastes that week. If I come on the 9th/10th will I avoid both?

Yes, the 8th is the last day for F&W and it is the end of the Jersey week too.
