45 days to go! Picked up a temporary 2nd job for the next 6 weeks to help pay for this trip. Have y'all been able to save like you used to? Gas & groceries have gone up so much I wasn't able to save hardly any spending money for this trip We usually don't buy a lot of souveniers but now that we have to tip on the DDP that's extra we didn't have to have before.

I keep playing the lottery - I don't know why they're ignoring my numbers

We don't buy souveniers either, and we didn't do the DDP. I budgeted $800 for meals. But I think that isn't going to be enough. Our dd is spending the 1st weekend with us. I just got a ADR for 9:00 p.m. at O'Hana's. There were openings for Friday, Nov. 7th, from 8:30 until closing. I saw the price and it is $28 a person, plus tip, plus if we all want a drink I am probably looking at a $100 if not more.

Pizza and beer at our resort is sounding better and better.

I'll be going Nov 9-15 2008, yay! Super excited! The actual purpose is business trip and the company's putting me offsite, but hey, won't complain!

So far, I've been planning with my 2007 Unofficial Guide, as it's the only available Unofficial Guidebooks at my local Kinokuniya.

But my uncle, who just got back yesterday from US for his business trip, got me what I asked.

Yay! I just adore The Unoffical Guidebooks. I'm going to put plastic covers on them and treat 'em as if they're thousands-years-old holy ancient manuscripts.

PS. Yes, I might be heading west and hit DL as well, hence the DL Unofficial Guide 2009.

Ouch! I hear ya. I had back surgery a few years ago and my laptop became my best friend.

We're down to 50 days and we got our 10 day, no expiry passes today! And... my boss approved my vacation time. Woohoo! I know, I know - kind of put the cart before the horse by booking our trip before getting my vacation time ok'd but I can't apply for the time off more than 2 months ahead so I had to take the chance. I didn't beg, ok maybe just a little but it was worth it.

I actually had a dream we were in DW last night. Actually it was this morning because I was dreaming it when my alarm went off. But it was weird because me and my youngest was on Toy Story and he was whining he wasn't hitting anything getting points. I had left my dd (who just turned 11) with our stroller outside the ride because she had just ridden it...Now for the record, we don't use a stroller anymore so that was weird and I would never leave my 11 year old alone at DW. But once we got off the ride, my youngest ds (who is 7) all the sudden was 2 again. SO that explained why we had the stroller...LOL DH was gone to get us all something to drink and I have no idea where my soon to be 13 year old DS was. We must have left him and his teenager's attitude at home

Thanks. My back is feeling better today. Dh had his vacation approved several months ago, but something else came up and a business troop came up and he was suppose to go to Germany the week after we got home... that would have been way too exhausting. So they postponed the Germany trip because SH said he wasn't missing the family vacation (especially since its the first big one in 8 years. No too shabby of DH considering he doesn't care for Disney. But thats okay, I told him next time it could be just me and the kids...LOL

36 more days... That means we start our countdown in 11 days The kids still haven't seen the countdown chart yet. And I still haven't cut the X's out that we are going to use to X out the days.

I need to make a list of things I still need to buy, like some more big ziplock bags to pack the kids outfits in, and t-shirts to make the few shirts I want to make. I also need to print off and laminate the small cards I am making with park hours and ADR info for each day. I also should be hearing from AAA soon saying our documents have arrived and I can come pick them up from their office. I also need to go through all the things I've picked up through the months for the kids entertainment bags on the drive down and see what I have.

So, any of you planning to do a trip report? I am not that great at writing, but I am thinking about doing a TR. Just to relive the trip

I can't believe how soon this trip is coming up my ticker says 38 more days! It's crazy! For a house warming gift my aunt got me a mickey throw blanket and a 25$ disney gift card. I have $100 disney dollars that my mom gave me for my birthday and with all the purchases we've been making i used my disney visa and have 60$ in rewards money to use in disney. Once i told DBF that i think he felt alittle better about going on the trip he was getting alittle worried that we were going to go with no money but i think we'll be ok.

well i better get going beofre someone catches me taking a break i'm off to go get the bedroom ready for the new bedroom set being delievered today and more

Aww, Katie- I'm so happy for you! Your first home will always hold a very special place in your heart. DH and i look back fondly to those early days in our yellow (yes- it was Mr Rogers yellow with green shutters-) house. We brought our baby boy home from the hospital there and we always ride by to look at it when we get to that town. Anyway- many blessings to you in your new home. May it be filled with love and joy always.

So my computer had a crisis yesterday and miraculously healed itself--

And now I'm at 28 DAYS!

I am going to attempt to catch up the list today- there are so many, I know that wish to be added, and I am so sorry for the fall back.
