November '08 ~ What Do You Mean It's Over? Should we plan another???

Darn, I just read the free dining thing again and it says you can only use it if you charge to your Disney Visa. I don't have a Disney Visa and plus, my trip is already paid in full so I wouldn't be able to transfer the balance.

I'm still going to try for that general public code though, if I can find it. Is it posted here on the boards?

P.S. Can I still apply the code if my trip is already paid? Will they refund me the difference?

First of all, you can only use one discount, you cannot combine or use any kind of code, pin or any kind of discount with free dining. Darn! It's one or the other, so you have to figure which one will work best for you giving you the best discount and fitting best with the time you can go to wdw. You can call and if they have rooms available for the code or free dining or w.e., they can do the figures for you and see which gives you the best deal. Boy, that sure would be awesome to get to use the gp code I had and the FD, wow! But, yeah, no such luck.

But, yes you can still apply a code to your fessie, even if it is paid in full, they just give you a refund!:thumbsup2 I think the general public code I used was DGL so you can try that to see if there are any rooms left to use with that code.

Hope this helps you out, good luck!!:goodvibes

WOOHOO! We had to listen to it one the radio because we were on the way home from my kids' games. We so rocked today...:)

I had discovered DIS in July and had become addicted. Then we were hit with two storms and I have been MIA since the end of August. So here I am escaping to this magical space when I came upon this thread. Ya'll can count me in on this. I'm can't wait and am counting the days.

Myself, DH, DD20 and DS15 are going to WDW from 11/22 - 11/29 and are staying at CSR with dining plan. We are so excited. We haven't been to Disney in 10 years much less stay on property and at that with the dining plan. Going on one last just us family vacation, no boy friends, girls friends, friends, etc. DH and I even have a date planned. :woohoo:

After Gustav hit we were not sure if we would be able to keep our plans. We still had a little left to pay and and at first it was looking like anywhere from 1-3 weeks for DH to return to work. Not good for our vacation and wasn't sure what damages we had. But some blessings and pixie dust pixiedust: and they wanted everyone back due to offshore rig damages ... which means OT and weekends for DH :cheer2: and minimal damage considering what alot of people had. We're counting our blessings and paying it forward wherever we can. So we're getting back on course. Time to start planning again.

glad everything turned out ok after Gustav, i can imagine that was a scary time.

46 days for us! Whew! DH's November schedule came out last week and boy was I bummed! I had called the scheduler and blocked him off for the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th. Well, when the schedule was posted he's working 12 hours nights on the 6th, ruining our plans to leave around 6AM and hit a park along with our 'Ohana dinner that evening. :( The earliest we could now leave was now around 9AM, cutting our park time to almost nothing and assuring a grumpy sleepy man traveling with four females (we are taking DDs BFF with us). Well he called me Friday evening from the ER and told me that another Dr. agreed to swap with him so now he's working 4P-12A, a lot better for us! :) :) :) :woohoo: :woohoo:

Hi, can I join in the countdown to Dis in November? I just planned a spur of the moment trip. It will be Me, DH and DD11. We are leaving DS20 and DS17 at home. DS20 is away atcollege, he is a junior. DS17 is a high school senior and is just to busy to go. It will be strange to be without them, but I think I can manage to enjoy myself anyway. We are staying at CSR. I have NEVER stayed at a Dis resort but I have always wnated to. I am so excited. We will be on the dining plan. I was thrilled to find this thread today. Someone who is as overly excited as I am and cointting the minutes!!! Only 53 days for me!:cool1: :dance3:  :yay:

Apparently I am too excited to type correctly....sorry about all the typos!

61 days for us! I started a countdown calendar today. I can't wait! I'm starting to buy little things that we need for the trip! I paid my trip in full yesterday too!

I know what you mean about being excited! We are at 38 days now. It seemed like such a long wait to get to 100 (I booked in early April). Now, it is flying by so quickly, I'm starting to worry I won't get all I want to do completed (autograph book, journal, T shirts, etc.)!

We will be there 11/14-11/18 for a quick fix to see Mickey. We are excited and can't wait:goodvibes....................this will be our first time visiting as DVC member's we are staying at SSR, it will be our first time staying SSR so I'm excited to stay at a new resort:goodvibes

Only 45 Days until I take my kids for the first time to WDW! They don't know yet, but I can barely contain my excitement!!! :cool1: :woohoo: :yay: I'm wondering if I'll be more excited than they will be! We're going Nov. 5-13th and staying at PopCentury - also my first time on Disney property.
We just booked at the end of August, so this is coming up on me faster than for many of you. I've been trying to convince DH to make this trip for a few years and the fall promo prices finally convinced him!:cheer2: We also got the dining plan, which is a first for us too. It's been 18 years since we honeymooned there, so it's like the first time all over again! CAN'T WAIT, but at the same time, a little nervous about the crowds, planning, and the drive down!

This is our first time on the dining plan too. I'm so happy knowing the food is paid for before we go. I wouldn't worry about the crowds too much. While it is "Jersey Week" we aren't from Jersey but are going the 1st-8th because thats when our kids' fall break is. I think I will just be happy to be away from the Alabama humidity.

My best friend and I decided to go down for a few days in November. We will be there Nov 15-18 at POP. We stayed at AKL in June, but couldn't swing that this time. We are super excited that we get to go back this year!
