November '08 ~ What Do You Mean It's Over? Should we plan another???

Is pre-ordering the photo pass worth the money? I have been debating for a week now. Do you really get your money's worth of pics? :confused3 TIA:banana:

I think it probably is worth it. I didn't have that much to invest in it right now though. There are some November photopass shares going on on the budget board if you're interested! I'm glad I got in on one of those! :)

i'm new to the whole photopass thing... i dont know how it works or how the photopass share works either. I'm wondering if it will be worth it for our next trip because it is only going to be DBF and Me... no one to take pictures of the two of us together! I can always ask someone like a CM to take a picture of us but they may not always be around. Just wondering how it works. TIA

Photopass photographers are all over the parks. They give you a card to carry around and you just have it scanned everytime you have your picture made.

the photopass share would be great for you! You have to find one on the budget board for your dates. You go in with several families and pre-order the CD. It ends up costing you about $15.00. (Much better than 99.95) You get your photopass card when you get to Disney and take as many pictures as you want on it. Then when you get home, you upload your pictures into your group's shared account for viewing and editing. After everyone in your group has uploaded, the group leader will send you your CD with all of your pictures on it! :)

If you're not interested in doing that, then I still think it's worth the 99.95 if you're wanting lots of pictures of the two of you together. If you're just planning on buying one or two, then obviously it's not worth it.

Also, the photopass photographers will take a picture of you with your own camera in addition to putting them on a photopass card.

I have also heard if you tell a photographer you pre-bought the CD, then they would take lots of photos. :)

I have evacuated from the New Orleans area because of yet another hurricane. I am in Destin and freaking out. I have come to the DIS boards to try and calm down. I was not expecting an extended vacation right now!!!!!

For now we are staying here because they are not expecting the weather to be too bad . Rain and winds. We will leave if the officials suggest it!It is very hard to get rooms to the north now because most of the south eastern part of Louisiana is under some type e.vacuation- either voluntary or mandatory

I'm sorry that you're having to leave your home. What a terrible hurricane season this is shaping up to be. Keep us updated, I'm hoping the best for you!

WE will be leaving Nov. 2-7 and staying at AKL for the first time. Can't even begin to tell you how excited we are!!

Two months from today I will be on my way to Disney! As a matter of fact, if things o as I hope they do, we will be just a few hours away at this time. I am hoping to leave about Midnight and drive the first half while DH and the kiddos sleep, then after stopping for breakfast, let DH take over driving while I take a little nap. But if that doesn't happen, I want to leave by 4:00 am. But my plans are for me to try to get up extra early on Friday after staying up late on Thursday and stay busy with last minute packing and housework so I don't fall asleep during the day then after the kids come home from school and DH comes home from work, go to bed and sleep while DH loads the van and tends to the kids. Then get up and get in the van and leave after I have had several hours of sleep. I will probably have DH keep the kids up until we leave so they will be so tired they will be able to sleep well. My kids have never really had a problem sleeping in the car so I think this will work perfectly.

I can't believe I am just 2 months away...WOOHOO!
I get more and more excited thinking about the trip Dh knows about the diver and personalized menus at The Coral Reef for the kids, but not the ones for him...LOL He will be so surprised. I am in awe of Debbi's kindness and the extra step she takes to make the trip have a little extra magic.
I am trying to train DH in the ways of fastpass... last time we were there, they just started this and it was for resort guests only. So I am trying to teach him the new fastpass way. And explaining that we must rush to get certain ones like Toy Story Mania at DHS. Two months is not a lot of time to train a non-disney person, but I think I can do it. I think next trip will be just me and the kids so there will be no fuddy duddys along...LOL

Hello, we are going on 3rd november to the 17t november, staying at qip, on i-drive. We stay there everytime we go! Is anyone else going round that time??? xxxx:cool1: :rotfl2: :worship:

We are going from Nov 7-15. I finally made it to Home Depot yesterday and picked up a lime green mickey head for on the back of my scooter! :cool1:

how long of a drivce is it for you Bama?

Driving straight through with no stops is anywhere between 10-12 hours depending on construction and what time of the day we hit certain places. I am hoping I can get all the way through Alabama/ Georgia without stopping. The kids should sleep through the whole first half of the trip so then we can stop for breakfast right into Florida.
