wow! thats nutty!!! well if you can do i definatly can do it! we looked at another home today and really liked it so we'll see... who knows at this point!

Yeah, looking back, I don't know how we did it! Thank God for my in-laws, they watched the kids for us quite a bit. We didn't think the house would sell so fast, but it sold to the very first people who looked at it! I think it was on the market for five days. But, that was back in the "good ole' days" when real estate was booming.

The more I think about this vacation and all we have been through the last 3 months I really want to make this vacation better then average. Oh yea , and if we do every buy a home i think this might be our last vacation for a couple years . But who knows... we'll see how long we last without the mouse! So far I have set up a Diver and personalized menu for our dinner at coral reef, I'm going to call and make reservations for a two person carriage ride at WL, and i'm thinking about having a Disney Cake delivered to the room the first night we are there after we eat at Boma . (i saw a few cute ones!) As long as I don't go nuts on the cake (which I wont there is only 2 of us) It should only be about 60$. Is there anything else anyone can think og that I should do to me and DBF while we are there? Nothing crazy I mean i'm not going to rent the Grand Yachet out of GF to watch wishes but just something small that won't take up alot of time away from the parks. Thoughts? Ideas?


p.s. DBF knows NOTHING about any of this I love making surprises!

What about maybe going on the creative Disigns boards and seeing if there are any ideas there. For instance little note cards to put out for him to find in the room with sweet little notes from you decorated with Disney characters. Just something little to add to the magic. You could also try to find other families to rent a boat for the Wishes or Illuminations shows, that way you're not paying the entire bill, but you're splitting it with other people. That's all I can think of for now. If I think of anymore ideas to throw out there, I'll let ya know!

101 days!!

OK we are in the same scenario. I got a new job we are relocating in October. I haven't figured out how to tell them I need vacation Thanksgiving week yet.

So we have to buy and sell a house before Nov. CRAZY!!

WOOHOO! Congrats on all those who have hit double digits!

My kiddos went back to school this past Friday and so that just means we are even closer to Fall break which means we are closer to Disney World...WOOHOO.

I start classes back on the 18th so I am trying to use these next few days off to get some little details for our trip done (like best way to get from point A to Point B for ADRs.) I did manage to pull a B out of my English Comp class. That was a huge surprise because I was just hoping for a C...LOL So with that and my A in my Math class I am still on the Dean's List (just bummed about not being on the President's List with a 4.0 GPA, but happy with my B).

Katie I agree that things always happen for a reason, so I am sure there is something better suited for you guys out there. Hugs girl, I know how frustrating it can be since we are currently looking for a bigger place for us (our 3 bedroom house isn't working for us now that the boys are older and really can't comfortably share a room). and what I want in a house usually sells really fast in our area because so many people are wanting in our school district.

thanks bama! I'm sure it will all work out eventually... i just really wish i had a home!!! I miss my stuff too... i haven't sat on my couches in 3 months! I actually miss grocery shopping. We are looking this week here and there with the real estate agent and we think we found something but we are going to finish out our planned property showings tomorrow and make our final decision tomorrow night on what we want to do and make an offer. Fingers crossed. I'm just mentally and emotionally drained but we'll pull through its just making DBF and I's relationship stronger... if we can get through this we can get through anything.

Bummer!!! Hey stranger things have happened I was down there in 2004 and i was sitting at DTD waiting for a bus and who ran by but two kids i went to high school with!!! I chased them and they were shocked to see us! it was crazy. So we may run into each other!

I can't wait until the Carriage ride though! It's going to be awesome! Very romantic i've heard! who knows maybe DBF will get into a romantic type of mood.... I'm probably going to go early and get a drink to bring on the carriage ride and do some exploring... can't wait!!!

I have this posted on the Illuminations November cruise thread, but I thought I might try to share with everyone here. I didn't even know you could share cruises until well into my planning when I stumbled on the cruise sharing thread. I apologize in advance if I am not supposed to post it here also.

We have space for 3 more people on our birthday fireworks cruise departing the Grand Floridian docks at 8:30pm on the evening on November 9. We'll see the MK fireworks. If anyone would like to join our cruise, please PM me. The cost is $31.95/person. It is a little more than the standard fireworks cruise due to sound on the boat & birthday decorations. You'd also be welcome to join us in birthday cake!

Yes- It is different than I grew up with- the kids get breaks a funny times- but it works for Disney- because we avoid the crowds.
