Happy 4th everyone!! I missed this thread so much! Just got all caught up!

I need a DIS fix to make me feel better. The whole house thing fell through and we have to start all over again looking for another home! this wouldn't be so bad except we've been staying with my mom and younger sisters!!!

Anyway I was trying to find some info on the AKV's anyone stayed there? I've been hearing mixed reviews. From the pictures i think it looks awesome but why so much negativity? Anyone know?

thanks for the group hug goofysmate! I'm hoping something turns up soon for us. I do believe everything happens for a reason so something good is bound to happen at some point. And the way i figure it by the time we find something, close, move in, and get settled my ticker will be wayyyy down and arriving at AKV's will be right around the corner.

I am sorry too about the house. I am sure the right house is there for you. And you are right about the time going by fast while you get a house, move.. etc. Last year we decided to move three months before we went to Disney. Those months just flew by!!! We were so glad to get away to Disney after all that stress.

First time in November. Went last year in December and had a blast!!!

Well, once again life has gotten busy and there has been no planning what-so-ever going on in my house. *SIGH* But come the next couple weeks, I will be finishing up this summer semester of school and I can once again begin planning.

I spent some time online yesterday trying to find videos or pictures of the 2 BR AKVillas. There seem to be a ton of the 1 br and studios. I guess I'm just not meant to know everything in advance.

Thank TNmom!!! Finally something good happened! We found a single family house brand new! its alittle more than the townhouse but for a brand new single family on an acre of land!!! We made and offer and the builder excepted! We picked out our flooring yesterday and after work today we're picking out counter tops! We are closing on Aug. 11th ten days before my birthday! I'm convinced everything happens for a reason and this was the reason! I can't wait! And we'll be so occupied doing things to the house (fence in the huge yard, paint, decorate, ect) that the 2 1/2 months until disney will flyyyyy byyyy and we'll be able to have a good vacation because we know we'll be coming home to our home... and not an apartment that we need to be out of in a few weeks like our last trip.

I haven't really done any major planning Just trying to plan t-shirt designs, etc.

Since we are flying this year, I won't be able to bring food. I usually pack the van down with water, juice boxes, snacks....etc. for the room.

I have been wondering what to do. I have read about people ordering water from Staples and other places and having it shipped to their resort. I also have read about the Garden Grocer that delivers groceries to the resorts. I was thinking about using them since we won't have a car, but I don't know that much about the Garden Grocer.

What do those of you that fly do about water or snacks?

Hi everyone! I would love to join your thread We booked our trip a few days ago and I am super excited !

We are arriving on Nov. 29th which I know sounds crazy because of the Thanksgiving crowds but hopefully the airport won't be to bad since we are flying in from Sweden! Staying at the Pop Century, we love it there !!

It's been mental getting all our ADR's so quickly but I knew I had to move fast with it only being 4½ months away hehe!

tnmomof4 We used Garden Grocer in 2006 and they were just great! Brought all our stuff, including about 4 or 5 cases of water right up to the room. I believe the delivery charge was 10 dollars. Our guy forgot our Ziplock bags I had ordered, I told him not to worry about it and the next day there was several boxes laying on the bed when we returned to the room - no charge. I've already been to the site and placed everything we will need in my shopping cart (boyfriend thinks I'm crazy ) We paid cash but you can pay in advance with a card.
