November '08 ~ What Do You Mean It's Over? Should we plan another???

Jo.... What a great day you all had!!!!

I am glad you found your friends. Sounds like you had a great time with them.

"We were hungry so we walked over to have lunch at our favorite CS- Studio catering which I think is now called Terrace Grill, at least that’s what the receipt says. Any way, we ordered 2 Greek Salads and a bbq sandwich that I cut a corner off of for myself and Mighty Hungry Man proceeds to devour the rest. Cheap lunch at $21."

Where is this CS? I would love to try it. For some reason we always end up at ABC Commissary and Pizza Plant. We need to try a new CS at DHS.

That was so nice of your husband to get two nights for you at the Poly. Even though it didn't work out. It still was really nice.

I love The Writer's Stop. It's my favorite place to get Iced Coffee!! I guess since we are going in November this year, I won't be needing cold coffee. I will have to try the Latte.

The first time we rode Backlot Express, I had no idea about the canyon and all the water. We were on the very left of the seat and got soaking wet. How nice of you to make the lady next to you laugh.

Also sounds like you had a great time at Whispering Canyon. I have never tried it... mainly because it seems like a lot of work just to get there, but we might have to try it sometime.

Your night ride on TOT sounds awesome and so much fun!!! That was so cool they let you ride by yourselves!!! I have to admit that I am scared to ride TOT. I love roller coasters, but I don't think I would like the up and down... and up and down of TOT.

I can't believe that you went over to Fantasmic and got a great seat 15 minutes before it started. That is really neat too. I hope that's how it is in November. We usually go in June, and we go an hour early and wait to get good seats.

Jo... thanks for the great update of your trip!!!

Just added another night to our stay!!!! We are now staying November 16-23!!!!:cool1: And, I was able to get CRT ressies for November 18!!!!! :woohoo: Magic Today!:wizard:

updated! Please check your info to see that it is correct.

ZuZu03----- what are your dates so I can put you in the proper spot.:)

Jo

19th of November through 28th of November at the Dolphin - woohoo!!!

Jo your installments are as long as mine!
Great story about the Tower. I've never ridden it at night, and am committed to doing so this November. Should I ask to ride alone? :faint:
My girlfriend still doesn't want to ride it at all. For a while she was saying that she was going to pop a Xanax and ride it (though I'm very much anti-pill, I'm at the point where it's safer for me to take them when I fly, so we'll have a supply), but apparently she's now reverted to her original position. We'll see how things are in 5 months, I guess.....

Is anybody else waiting for Thursday when Southwest releases the tickets for November?

I am!!! I hope they have some good prices.

November 3rd to November 13th here! First time staying on-site, too -Animal Kingdom Villas. Life is pretty awesome. :cool2:

We'll be there Nov. 19 - Nov. 28, this will be our first trip staying onsite and I am super excited.

I waited for southwest fares to open today and the cheapest DFW-MCO I could get for 4 is almost $1300. Airtran is $972, nonstop with much better flight times. But with everything that's going on in the airline industry, I'm just a little leary to book with Airtran.

Ugh, the flights are terrible.
The latest out of Albany is 4.15, and the good rate is unavailable. As it's Thanksgiving, even the best rate isn't spectacular. And it isn't a non-stop flight. And even then I'd have to cut my late class short.
A 2.40 flight means I'd have to outright cancel my late class, and cut my second to 1/2 hour at most.
Unfortunately, we're going to have to fly on Wednesday, crack of dawn, 7.05. We'll be on property around 10.45 or so, I figure. Hopefully we're not so tired that we lose that day.
We'll be dumping that morning's breakfast at Cape May.....:worried:
And I know you guys can relate to this..... at 8.00 this morning our countdown was at 152. At 11.00, it was at 153.....:(

I was waiting for Southwest too.

I got our returning flights.

There are nine of us, but 3 different leaving times

I got my mom, step-dad, and brother an ok price. They are leaving Monday the 17th and their tickets are $94.

I got my 4 kids and I our tickets leaving Saturday the 22nd for $119.00.

My husband has to go to CT, so he is leaving Saturday the 22nd, but his ticket was $160.00

I had to change to leaving a day later because the prices for Friday the 21st were so much. The Friday prices were $189 for the kids and I and $270 for my husband. We will just stay at a cheap hotel on Friday.

I didn't get our departing flights because right now they are $193. I just don't know what to do. I need 8 tickets so I am afraid if I wait too long they will be gone. I want to wait to see if they go down though.

:moped: The rates that Southwest posted for RDU to MCO in my opinion were no different from other airlines maybe more. However, Southwest is still the only airline out of RDU on Nov. 22 that offers a direct flight. I cannot see flying and taking more time to fly or the same as driving.

So DW and I are now leaning toward driving, which I wanted to do anyway. But I have always heard if you buy tickets on weekends and when they are first releases the prices are higher for they want to test the market. We are fortunate that we can drive in about 10 hours not counting stop times for DD and if we break the drive up we will still be way ahead financially of flying now.

If the in-laws are riding with us is it wrong to ask for money for gas?

Does anyone in that travels i-95 have any suggestions for a decent hotel/place to stay near the GA/Florida border? We are planning on leaving on Nov. 21 at 1:00 p.m. and drive to about 10:00-11:00 with an hour to eat and a few breaks, thinking if we can drive for 8 hours and average 65 miles perhour we should be able to drive about 500 miles of the 617 miles and drive in the on the 22nd and enjoy most of the day at WDW. So I guess now we get to use our AAA Diamond parking permits.

Also, would love any road trip activities for DD that is 5 to help her pass the time other than the DVD player.

Since we are driving we need to go get our lime green Mickey's for the car. Is Home Depot the only place to get them or do you guys use window paint and draw them on the car/van.

I don't think it's wrong to ask for gas assistance. Everyone is pretty understanding of the situation. :thumbsup2

We drive 17 hours and do it straight through. DH usually does the first & last 6 hours & I do the middle. Once we leave, we can't stop till we get to WDW :rotfl: That being said, the first time we went to WDW, my DDs were 7 & 5. We didn't have DVD players back then. We would play the punch bug game, look for different state license plates, play the alphabet game, play mad libs, cards and just talk. At times we just listened to music and enjoyed the scenery. Of course since we drove straight through, we all slept a little.

Hi everyone my ticker say's 5months to go till i get my hug with :goofy: :yay:
It's getting closer::yes:: :yay:

My kids enjoy the Color Wonder books that have markers that color on special paper. It is much less messy than markers and crayons. Also, a good supply of snacks to keep them busy if they get hungry. My kids also like to listen to music cd's or my ipod on headphones.

May I join in?

We are going 11/1 @ POP
11/2 - 11/6 on the Wonder (cat 3 woo hoo)
11/6 - 11/11 @ SSR (hopefully changing to AKL)

It's DH and my 50th birthday present/celebration and I CAN NOT WAIT.

We are flying on Airtran from Newburgh, NY. We are driving 1 1/2 hours to fly 2 hours, but the air fare was so worth it!
