I'm far to technologically inept to have a countdown ticker but we will be there Nov. 10-14 at the Wilderness Lodge - first time ever staying onsite after many many trips driving in from relatives' houses in Cocoa! SO excited to do away with that hour trip each way!!!! Also, my kids' 1st trip!! (DDs - 4 yrs and 17 mo)

Bama mom - I also sent you a POR layout map and a copy of The Sassagoula Times paper that is the Port Orleans Resort directory of services and has lots of different information in it.

First of all GOOD LORD!!! I just read the update about your recent trip and I couldn't believe it! I think i would've started rocking back and forth in a corner if I were you! I am gald that they went above and beyond to make your trip better! You and the boys deserved it!

Secondly thank you so much for mailing me the maps! Your a doll! I can't wait to get them and show DBF!!

I don't know why but I thought I'd say hello. We will be there the same time as syou too and are also from WNY, we were staying at POP, but switched to ASSp to save $1000 on the 2 rooms. But, I just stubmles across this and wanted to say hello...

Well hey there neighbor We're in Buffalo, but my 2 sisters live in Rochester, so we know it well. Glad you were able to save that much money too by switching

Just thought I'd share this with you all. Nothing really important, but we were talking about our trip to DW we took in 2000. My dd (who just turned 11 last week) was 2 1/2 when we were there. I was telling my youngest DS about the Great Movie RIde (just so he will be prepared because he hates surprises) and telling DS about how you get "hijacked". And it reminded me of my dd and when we rode TGMR we were in the front seat (next to the driver) and when we were hijacked, She told the hijacker he was a very big meanie. The hijacker got tickled and couldn't quit giggling because DD kept calling him a meanie. It actually made the ride funner for us because the hijacker just played on being called a meanie.

No real reason to share that, just thought it was a cute memory we have from DW.

More Western New York connections here. I lived in Elmwood Village from autumn 2001 through August 20005 while I was doing my doctorate work. My girlfriend and I just visited there over the Labor Day weekend. She was amazed how beautiful parts of Buffalo are.... now she believes me! (I know, it's a shocker to those who only see Buffalo when it's on the Weather Channel because it's under 11 feet of snow in October or the wind is blowing so hard that chunks of ice are being hurled off of the lake and through people's windows.)

DH is from Rochester and we try to visit every summer to go to the Adirondacks with his family and most Christmases. I am from southern MS. Funny, it never really snows when I am there in the winter, just enough for DD to make a small snowman.

we would like to eat here as well but havent been able to make adrs, the rumour is that trex is just going o be walk up when it initially opens until about january. hth

Oh no..... walk up?!?!?! That's a bit disappointing. It does look like fun. My girls love the Rainforest so much , but we are sick of eating there. SOmething new would be nice.
