Just joining in!

We will be staying off-site in a villa from the 1st-15th and celebrating DS' 3rd birthday, our anniversary and DD's 6th birthday whilst in Florida.

We will be sharing a villa with the in-laws so I am trying to find a good time to start mentioning ADRs as after all -180days isn't too many months away ;)

Welcome hon :) Looking forward to planning with you :teeth:

It looks like we're going to WDW around 11/15-22, before our DCL itinerary to Costa Maya, Cozumel, and double-dippin' at Castaway Cay!

So far, the 'week before the cruise' members will be me, DH, the twins, DH (aka Future President of Disneyland or FPD), her best friend, and best friend's mom, who is one of my best friends!

Looks like--in the interest of saving money and doing things other than WDW (like Discovery Cove, SeaWorld, and Aquatica--we'll rent a vacation home offsite and get around in a minivan.

Then, my oldest son; another one of my best friends, her hubby, and their two kids; and two more dear friends, are showing up to go on DCL with us! Hoohoo!

Welcome !!!

Okay I didn't post yesterday becuase you guys got me hooked on TGM. After reading hear about it I went to the website and was totaly overwhelmed with all of the information. It seems like there is so much information there that is going to be helpful, so it really seemed worth spending the money. I am excited that I have so much time to do the research. I have already been convinced from the forums on TGM to include Epcot in my touring. I wasn't planning on it due to traveling with DD5 who I didn't think would be interested. I can't believe that I have to wait for 10 months to go on this trip and that means I have 10 months to obsess about the planning!!!

I have a tip to share: I like to pack my daughters outfits for each day in ziploc bags. I include outfit, socks, underwear and even hair accessories. This makes it so she can just grab a bad and get dressed all on her own. This also makes it so the dirty clothes don't get mixed in with the clean ones. I then pack a mesh laundry bad to hang on the door for her to put dirty items in. All of her clothes take up a lot less space by packing this way as well and allow to pack a few extras that I may otherwise not allow.

My DD5 loved going round the Kidcot stops in Futureworld doing all the activities so I think we'll be doing the same in the World Showcase next trip

Thanks for the welcome all :goodvibes

How do the Kidcot stations work? Do you have to start in a specific place or can you stop at any of the stations? I have seen children doing this in past trips, but as I stated this is my first trip with a little one. I have been twice since my daughter has been born, but I wanted to make sure she would remember her first trip.

You can begin at any of them. At least you could back in 2000. My kids (the 2 oldest ones that were around then...LOL) still have their masks they made. They can't wait to make another one.

This is such a space saver too. When packing I try to squeeze out all of the air and it makes for a lot more room in the suitcases.

I love doing this too. Especially since my boys are fashionably challenged!:rotfl:

Jo the villa we are staying in is at Davenport lakes area , so could you put us down as off site.

The first station you stop at will give you a lanyard and attach your first piece. Then each station will give you another piece to colour until you have them all. DD then got a poster at the last station as a prize. She was so thrilled.

(I assume the World Showcase one works similarly!)

Hi all. We are going 20th to 4th Dec. We are staying off site in a Villa that a mate of mine has.

Welcome on board , i'm glad you've found us Dave:thumbsup2

Hello all! Thanks for the info about Epcot. I didn't know about the lanyard and stations the kids can go to. We will definately make it a point to do this!

I think i have decided on a few places to eat. I keep wavering on a few of these, but I guess there is time for that.

Ohana for breakfast
1900 Park Fare for Dinner (decided against Akershus due to odd menu items)
Liberty Tree Tavern early ADR before MNSSHP

I think that we will also try and Mama Melrose's for the Fantasmic package as well.

I feel like I am choosing the places I want to eat and then I am going to plan around that.

Hey does anyone make Character Signature books with there kids before leaving. I was thinking of doing that and using a lot of the Disney scrapbooking stickers. You could make one for each character or character group. I thought that this would be a fun project leading up to the trip and I could start buying things now as they are on sale to make it.

I think making the autograph books for the children are a wonderful idea. I have seen these mentioned on another site on the dis.:thumbsup2 :)

I am trying O'Hana this time too, but for dinner.
We love LTT, eat there every trip. It's the kids fave.
I don't like MM, we had a bad experience there, but i think it's just hit or miss at any of these places. we also really didn't like Chef's de France, but some love it.

COOL! Shall we try to find other DISers who want to join in for a DIS meet on an Illuminations Cruise anytime between 11/29 and 12/3?

Yep, OKW is my Home resort....since 1997!!

I would be interested in finding out more information about this Cruise. I have 4 kids, so I have to see if it's kid friendly or mainly an adult thing.

Anyone know? Prices?

I can look, I just thought I'd ask here first.

I ordered my Deluxe passporter today and then I went ahead and added the passporter passholder pouches for everyone, tired of digging for everything.

Oh yea, you'll see us coming for sure:rotfl:
