I am in Halifax. This is so surreal. That guy was a monster. People from the area are saying he started off by killing his ex wife and her new partner. Then went on a rampage.

I hope no one ever utters his name again.

Truly a despicable human, he even shot his victim's dogs. I imagine we will never really know his motivation, such a tragedy.

Just watching the 4pm news - they are reporting an emergency alert in the Halifax area (Haliburton Heights area). RCMP responding to two or more locations for shots fired. Please let this end well, Nova Scotia is handling enough right now

A friend of mine lives in NS. Said the Dartmouth scare turned out to be someone firing an airsoft rifle. Still waiting to hear on Hammonds Plains report.

So glad they are making it illegal to own assault rifles. I can’t believe Shearer is kicking up a fuss about it. I’m sure there are many relieved Canadians today.
