We are planning a trip to WDW for either November or December. Anything we should know about?

I saw on a thread that the Warner Kids are going to be there. Apparently that means hundreds of preteens/teens at the Movie Resorts, at the parks, pools etc.. Anyone know anything about that?

The Wine and Food Festival ends in November right?

They decorate for Christmas on Nov 30th?

Is it really busy during the US Thanksgiving weekend/week before and after?

Anything else?

Thanks Dis experts!!

Hi! You picked a pretty great time to visit WDW- November and early December are wonderful at the World. Low crowds, nice weather, and Christmas decorations (in later November and December).

Pop Warner- I think the Pop Warner kids will be there this year from 12/3- 12/10. The crowds aren't too bad, but if you are staying at one of the resorts they are (some of the All Stars and POR), it can be quite loud and crowded.

Food & Wine Festival goes Sept. 30 to Nov. 13 this year. It is fun, but Epcot is a bit more crowded, especially on the weekends.

The resorts start to decorate the first week of November- I think mostly everything is done by Thanksgiving.

Yes, the week of Thanksgiving is very crowded- Disney guidebooks state that T'giving week is one of the most crowded weeks of the year. The worst days are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of that week (T'giving is on that Thursday). The week before, and the week after, though, are not crowded at all.

The second week of November (11/6- 11/13) will be a little more busy than usual- Veterens Day holiday is that Friday, MGM has Super Soap Weekend on the 12th and 13th, and the state of NJ has an annual Teachers Convention that week, and most schools in NJ are closed for much of the week. Lots of NJ families come to WDW that week. Also, it will be the last week of Food & Wine.

Have fun- other than the week of T'giving, the crowds should be minimal, and the weather should be great!!

Tday is very busy and honestly the week after Tday (arrive after Nov 27th)and the beginning of Dec is the best time to go. Xmas is even busier, but in between is awesome!

The resorts are all decorated and all the parades are ready the week of Tday at least, not sure how much earlier. (we always go over tday)

Have fun!

Jenn

Do they run the regular parades and the Christmas ones, or do the Cmas ones replace the other ones during the holiday season?

We're going the first week of December and are packing a range of clothes, capri pants and T-shirts to gloves and hats! I've heard that it can be chilly in the early am and later in the evenings (if you're staying for shows) but is often warm or downright hot in the middle of the day.

Also, if there are particular sit-down restaurants where you want to eat, I'd advise you to call now to reserve a time and date (1-407-WDW-DINE). Especially if you want to attend the Mickey's Christmas party at Magic Kingdom (MVMCP) or the Candlelight Processional (CP) at Epcot.

Don't overbook your schedule though - build in some flexibility so you don't feel like a slave to your schedule!

Have fun - it's supposed to be one of the best times of year to go, so you made a good choice!
