Hello everyone. With 6 days before our upcoming trip I have decided that I will try a pre-trip report. This will be our 4th trip with the possibility that we might not make it back next year. So I think I would like to take this opportunity to document everything we are doing for this trip.

I am thinking of doing a live report while we are there because I have to bring my laptop with us. I left my job that I had for 10 years at a local credit union because I felt dead inside while working there. I have just gone back to school full time with my family's support so I can obtain a degree in Elementary Education. So this explains why we might not make it back next year. Things are going okay budget wise but I am wondering if we should stick away the money I save every month for our annual trip to Disney World in our savings account just so we have a bigger cushion while I am attending school. We will have to see how things go and decide from there. Anyway, This trip was planned before I decided to go back to school. So now I will have to do some homework while I am at Disney World. :surfweb: It shouldn't be too bad though because all my classes are online and I am trying to get as much as I can done at home before we go. Hopefully that will work out for me. :wizard:

Anyway, Let me introduce ourselves.

There is me, Melissa age 34 until Saturday November 10th. party: I am the planner of all our trips plus all the trips for my family members. I am also the so called Disney Expert.

Then we have my husband, Sean, age 40. He got sucked into Disney World after our first trip. He is a chef at a local restaurant so he is looking forward to the Food & Wine Festival. Also all the good food we will be eating during the rest of the week.

We have two daughters, Samantha age 10 and Emily age 7. They are both in love with Disney World as much as their mother. :cheer2:

Also joining us on this trip is my mother. (No age because she might kill me. LOL) She has joined us on all of our trips and we enjoy having her. She loves Disney World of course and is looking forward to this trip. She just came back home from the world with my younger sister and her two sons today. Boy, the life of a retired person must be nice.

We will be staying at POR this year for the first time and we are really excited about it. We have requested connecting rooms with my mother and also building 14 so we aren't so far from the bus stop. I will have to let you know how that turns out.

We have been watching the weather and it looks like we are in for a good week. My sister's trip had rain most of the week. I felt bad for her but I am so happy that we might avoid this for our trip.

We are in the process of getting our house in order and trying to get all our stuff together for packing. It is hard to get in the mindset right now while balancing school work but I am hoping for a productive day tomorrow. So far we have gotten the downstairs and the kids playroom cleaned. We are having someone stay at our house while we are gone to take care of the pets so that is why I am going nuts trying to make sure the house is in perfect order. :scared1:

Well that is all for now. I will try to post our plans for the week later in the evening or sometime tomorrow.

I hope you enjoy our report. Thanks for joining us. :goodvibes

Good evening everyone. I thought I would take a few minutes before I head to bed to add our trip itinerary to the pre trip report.

Here is what we are planning:

Nov 9th. We will arrive via the Magical Express. We will be flying Jet Blue and should arrive shortly after noon. We don't have any reservations for the day but I am thinking we might check out the resort, then head to boardwalk for the Kitchen Sink. After that I am thinking we might go look around Epcot and watch Illuminations. Nothing set in stone so we will see how this works out.

Nov 10th - MY BIRTHDAY!!!! Ohana's for breakfast. Then Magic Kingdom for the day. We will be having lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern and I am hoping to watch the Spectromagic parade in the evening.

Nov 11th - Epcot. This is the day we will be exploring the Food & Wine Festival. We also have dinner reservations at LeCellier. They are pretty late so I don't think we will be seeing Illuminations this night. I really hope we will be able to catch them the 1st evening because of this. Sean - husband- and Samantha - 10 yr old - will be doing the Epcot Seas Aqua Tour in the afternoon. They did this tour last year and they really enjoyed it. While they are doing this I am planning to take Emily - 7 yr old - over to the Junior Chef program in the Land. I think she will really like this.

Nov 12th - MGM. We have plans to have an early dinner at the Sci-Fi Dinner and also to make sure we catch the 7:00 Fantasmic show. I am hoping that the Osborne Lights are up and going this night so we can check them out. We always enjoy them. :santa:

Nov 13th - We are planning an early morning at Magic Kingdom. The girls have appointments at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at 8 am. Then we will be eating breakfast with Cinderella and her friends at Cinderella's Royal Table in the castle. Also we have reservations for the girls to participate in the Wonderland Tea Party at the Grand Floridian later in the afternoon. It is going to be a fun filled day. I can't wait!!! :thumbsup2

Nov 14th - We decided to make reservations for breakfast at Boatwrights before heading to Animal Kingdom for the day. I have heard that this is a really good restaurant at our hotel so I decided we should try it. Animal Kingdom will be open later in the evening for extra magic hours. Hopefully we will be staying to take advantage of that. After Animal Kingdom we will either head back to the hotel to swim or go see Illuminations at Epcot if we haven't seen it yet.

Nov 15th - The day I am most looking forward to. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!!!! :santa: We normally go in December and I was pretty disappointed we had to go in November this year. When I found out that the Christmas parties were starting the week we are going to be there it made it a little bit easier to deal with. I really enjoy this party and so do the girls.
We have reservations for dinner at Crystal Palace before the party. That should be really nice.

Nov 16th - This is our last full day. We have Magic Kingdom planned but we probably will play this by ear. It all depends if we have something that we weren't able to fit in or not. I know that I like to end the trip at Magic Kingdom because that to me says Disney World, but like I said we will see how things go. We have reservations at Chef Mickey's for a late dinner. I think it is a nice way to end our trip.

Nov 17th - Our departure day. :sad2: Our flight doesn't leave until after 5 so we won't need to be on the Magical Express bus until around 2:00. So I am hoping we have all our stuff ready to go in the morning and maybe we can hit one park before it is time to leave. We don't have anything scheduled so we will probably just get breakfast at the hotel and see how things are going. I am really hoping to make it to one of the parks before we leave. It just makes me feel better about leaving. :goodvibes

Anyway, that is our plans for the week. I will update everyone on how our day went every night when we get back. I plan to take lots of photos so I will be sure to post some for everyone to enjoy.

It is time for bed so I will post more tomorrow. I hope you are enjoying this.

Thanks for reading.

Good night. :thumbsup2

Thank you. I am planning on updating every night. I can't believe we only have 4 days before we go. I am going to go crazy in the next couple days. LOL

Thanks again for reading.

Since you are staying at POR, maybe take the Ferry to DTD. Trying to get to a park on your last day, may be to hectic. 2:00 p.m. comes really fast, especially if you have to pack in the morning. You can also rent surrey bikes at POR or walk over to POFQ and try their Baguettes (sp?), they are a heart attack on a platter, but delicious.

Have fun on your vacation. I loved POR.

That is a fantastic idea. Thanks for the tip. I just told my husband it and he agrees that this will probably be better than trying to get back to a park before we leave.

Thanks again. I appreciate the info.

I got all my assignments done that were due tonight completed this evening. Now I have Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to try and get what I have dur for next Monday done before we leave. I am hoping to get as much done as possible so I don't have to bring all my books with me.

Other than that we are starting to get everything together for the trip. We areplanning on doing the packing for the kdis tomorrow and then look over everything after that.

I do have to get to Wal-mart sometime before Friday to get film for the kids cameras and also backup batteries for them. Once I get that then we have everything we need. I can't believe we leave in 4 days!!!! It is coming so fast.

Well, it is getting late so I am heading to bed. I will have more for you all tomorrow.

Thanks.

We are off to Disney World in just 1 hour!!! :cool1:

I will post again once we are there.

:woohoo:

Holy Cow you are at Disney World and I'm stuck here typing about it on my computer!!!!:sad2:

I hope you are having a great time. Can't wait to hear about it when you return!:hourglass

Wow. What a trip. I am currently sitting in the Orlando Airport just waiting for our plane to arrive. I wasn't able to post during the week like I had wanted because the internet connection in my room didn't work with my laptop. I have Windows Vista and apparently there is a bug with this and it doesn't work there. That is what we were told anyway.

I have a lot of stuff to fill everyone in on so I will start after I catch up with my school work. I should be able to get it all caught up by Tuesday.

It was a trip with lots of wonderful memories and even a dream giveway. (Not the night in the castle. ) I can't wait to fill you all in.

I will post again soon.

Thanks
