OK, first let me say, that I am a HUGE Disney fan and DVC owner. However, the level of service was beyond the normal excellent!!!!!! We stayed in the AKL Kidani for 7 nights prior to sailing, and we were ready for a break!!!
Our stateroom was 1040, an outside cabin with 2 portholes. I was happilt surprised at the amount of room and area for storing clothes, etc. Our kids (6 and 8) were thrilled with the "bunk-beds"!! Romeo was our room steward, and he was fabulous!!!! So kind and attentive to every detail. The kids loved coming back at night to see what new "animal" was awaiting them.
The kids club was a lovely bonus...we only had dinner with the kids 1 night our of four b/c they loved the program soooo much. Those counselors were very kind and patient! DH and I work opposite shifts, so this gave us time to catch up with one another.
Thye food was fabulous, and I especially loved the endless supply of fresh fruit. The kids enjoyed the brekfast buffets so that they could choose what they wanted.
DH and I had been to Nassau before, so we chose an excursion on the glass bottomed boat with the kids. This is the one thing I would not do again. We all found it a bit boring after the first 5 minutes. You couldn't really see much, and it was murky. Castaway Cay on the other hand was FABULOUS!!! The kids once again went to the kids club while DH and rode bikes...at least 20 some years since I had done so. We had so much fun!!!!!! The weather was 82 and just beautiful.
The ship is pretty and very well maintained. The staff was, without exception, amazing. I found a lovely little nook on deck 4 where there were lounge chairs and only adults...all sitting quietly and reading! I was in Heaven!!!!!
The entertainment was great as well. All of the shows were lively and captivating. The kdis loved them, especially Dreams!!!! I won $116 at the first bingo, and then I of course put it all back and more trying to win again!!!
I cannot say enough for this vacation!!!!! The ONLY drawback was the length of time. With a 4 night cruise, I felt obligated to cram as much in as I could.
