On another thread, someone mentioned to book YC or BC for this time period soon, because the rooms will be gone. Is Jersey week that much of an impact? Or is it because YC BC is used for conventions alot? I'm getting nervous about visiting WDW during this time period. We were there the 3rd week of Oct. in 2002 and it was crowded but not bad. Will all the rooms of all the hotels be booked soon for that week? I just got an airline employee discount rate for the YC for that week. But we're going with family who won't book room yet because she says its too early.

I'm going Nov 11-16. I have the Yc booked but it wasn't easy, the only thing they had at the beginning was concierge and I didn't want to pay the money for that this time. I finally got a water view but was disappointed because water view means either a pool or lagoon, well I don't wanna pay all that money to look at a pool, I don't know what to do now. :D

Not sure of the exact dates, but do believe the impact of Super Soap Weekend is that weekend and maybe festival of the masters. The golf classic may be lurking around there too. I willl check the exact dates and get back. Of course, Thursday the 11t is Veterans day so some will be taking the whole week and of course Jersey week falls in there too. Lets not forget Food and Wine festival too. Makes for a busy time.

We stayed at WL this year during that time period, and we found the crowds to be very manageable with advance planning. Though our resort was fully booked, we used PSs to avoid disappointment at restaurants, got up early to tour the parks, used Fastpass, and tried to eat at off-hours when we wanted counter service. Worked like a charm and we'd absolutely go again at the same time of year.

Your resort's room availability will probably change drastically during the next nine months depending on conference bookings - I'd recommend calling every 3-4 weeks to see if you can get what you want and watching this board for updates from others. It sounds as if the folks you'll be traveling with could slow you down. Could you book for yourself ASAP and let them handle their own arrangements? Maybe have a talk with them and point out the downside of waiting too long?

Hope you have a blast - we loved Jersey week!

I've already booked my familys hotel room. My DH gets an airline employee discount so I know these go fast. I did get the dates and resorts we wanted. I just wondered if all the resorts will book up. Because mentioned booking now to my cousin and her family and I don't think she's going to.
