We'll try not to eat everything before you get there. ;)

We may actually end up changing that later depending on what we may get when/if they open the Candlelight Processional dinner packages.

The piglets that we are ....We booked two nights at Le Cellier!!!! Wed. and Sat. We got all the times we wanted too!!

Got all but 1 of mine thus far. Waiting till Sun or Mon (I forget when) to do the last night. Times weren't good right now. CM suggested calling when they open up all times right at 180 days. Before then only a partial schedule is open.

Mon 11/26 Boatwrights at our host hotel: Port Orleans: Riverside 6:10
Tue 11/27 Chef Mickey's 6:10
Wed 11/28 Boma 5:30
Thurs 11/29 Crystal Palace 4:15, then stay the night for MVMCP
Fri 11/30 Storybook Dinner: Norway 4:35
Sat 12/1 Whispering Canyon 6:30
Sun 12/2 Have to call back. They only had Mama Melrose at 3:30 w/Fantasmic Package. Going to try for around 4:30ish.

Why is this week so popular?
We usually go in Sept/Oct but we wanted to go later this year and see Christmas decoration. I was going to go the week of 11/25 now I am thinking it may be really busy??

Maybe it is just a popular week for us DIS board people.

What is the crowd level like this week in November????
We always go Sept/Oct and the 2 weeks before or after Easter, so I am use to no crowds (2-4 level) and moderate crowds (5-6).

Does anyone know what the codes for this time period were last year? I saw a "public package code" that got released around 8/15/o6. I thought I read somewhere it was for 20% off deluxe rooms ( sweet ;) ) Or if anyone knows of any others... We will also be there 11/25 - 12/2.:santa:

I've actually been told that starting with Thanksgiving Sunday, it's not too crowded. That was one of the reasons I chose that week. Also DS' birthday is just after we get back. I don't think it should be too bad, but that's part of the reason we won't hit the Disney parks till Monday.

Very excited...I've never done anything like this!

Hi, I just found this thread and hope you don't mind me joining in. :goodvibes

We are a family of 4 me, DH, DD16 and DS7. We've been 14 times and about 10 of those has been either Nov. or Dec.
We went last year the same exact days and are going again for 07.

Our plans are to fly out of St. Louis at 6:45 am:rolleyes: on Wed. the 21st!
and stay till Sat. the 1st.
We are currently booked at Pop for the whole 10 nights with dining and 10 day base tickets.
However, DH just came back from a business trip and earned a LOT of Marriott points so I am thinking of not checking into Pop till Sat. 24th. And staying that first 3 nights offsite:scared1: for free to save enough money so that I can add hoppers and MVMCP to our plans.

Since we aren't planning on hitting the disney parks till Sunday anyway this wouldn't be a problem with our tickets. My DS7 really wants to go to Sea World and even though we took him when he was 3 he doesn't remember a whole lot besides the Shamu show and wants to go back. So I haven't called yet to the make the change on the ressies but am thinking about it. Plus it would not only save me the price of the room but also the dining plan for the 1st 3 days.

If i do change to offsite the 1st 3 nights then our plan is:

Wed. 21st: fly in, get rental car, check into which ever Marriott I choose, still haven't decided! unload and settle in, go for a swim if it's warm enough, later hit the disney outlet stores, and dinner at Joes Crab Shack (DH and Kids's favorite for offsite food!)

Thurs. 22nd: Thanksgiving Day...... Sea World

Friday 23rd: 2nd day free at Sea World
May take swim breaks if I choose somewhere with a great pool (like MOWC)

Sat. 24th: Check out and move to Pop early, check in and store luggage as room won't be ready. Our passes and dining will start now. Head to DTD to return rental car at Hilton and eat lunch at Wolfgang Puck Express. Spend some time shopping at DTD. Back to Pop in afternoon to get our room and unpack/settle in. Dinner at O'hanas!

Sun. 25th: Either a park day (haven't decided which one) or maybe water park if warm enough. Dinner at HDDR 7:15 show! We did this 2 years ago and they want to go back!

Mon. 26th: Epcot day with dinner at LeCellier

Tues. 27th: Magic Kingdom day with dinner at Chef Mickeys after MK closes.

Wed. 28th: Mgm day with dinner at Rose and Crown..

Thurs. 29th: AK day and MGM in the evening for Fantasmic. No dinner plans (because used 2 TS at HDDR)

Fri. 30th: Can't decide which park but dinner at O'hana's. It's DH's and DD's favorite and they requested we do it twice. We did it last year on our 1st and last night also!

Sat. Dec. 1st: Spend the morning packing and checking out then head to MK to just soak up the magic one last time and late lunch at Crystal Palace. We will either pay for this one OOP or it could also be a backup in case something happens and we don't make it to one of the ones above. We fly out tonight but not till 7pm!

Costs: more then i want to think about!
Ok, actually. If we use points then 3 nights free, also used DH's travel points to order 4 free tickets for sea world. Well we already have enough for 3 but will have the 4th by then. Also used DH's Frequent Flier miles for 4 free airline tickets. Don't be too jealous we live without him a LOT and the kids miss him so much when he travels!! At least we get a little perk for all those lonely days and nights!

Food for the time before we start the dining plan will be one dinner at Joes and probably fast food at sea world. We'll save the nice meals for the dining plan days.
We will also have a rental car from Wed.-Sat. and we would have to get this even if we did stay at Pop because we need it to get to Sea World. Haven't found a good price for his yet though!

Then the package for the 7 nights of dining and tickets. I just need to decide if i need the hoppers or if i should just change some plans around and not add it??? Also thinking about doing the X-mas party. We did it when DD16 was about 5 years old and haven't done it since!

I'm so excited!:cool1: I am got all the ADR's I wanted. I was worried about the HDDR but we got cat.2 seating.

I don't want to wish the summer away but hurry up already!!

I don't know that this is a super popular time to go. The first several pages of this thread are actually pretty much a small group of people who did a lot of talking when planning first started, so it may look like a lot of people now that it's 21 pages, but it's a small group of DISers who have the majority of those posts.

We probably should have started a list in the first post to keep track of how many of us are actually going that week.

Ha Ha my friend....Did you change your week, or are you still planning for this week?:headache: :scared: A friend of mine just got back from WDW and a member of the Dream Team approched them and started talking about the Disney cruise line. My friend said that they weren't too interested in a cruise:eek: so the Dream team person changed her questioning to how they were going back to the airport. (they were taking a Disney bus) So the DT lady called and got them a stretch limo. Do you suppose they would have gotten a cruise if they acted more interested??!! Keep a look out for staff members with clip boards!!!

Hi Tracy! We are still a go for the Nov. 25 - Dec. 3, but we will be at the VWL. We are also going in September and are staying at the BCV then. After our last trip & bill, at the Poly, we decided to join the DVC. We bought at the Beach Club Villas and the Villas at Wilderness Lodge. Very psyced:scared:
All adr's are made for both trips. We also have another trip booked for March 13th-21st 2008 at the BCV.

Can someone tell me about the Candlelight Processional, and what the dinner package is like too? We are planning to have Friday (our last full day) at Epcot. We're already doing two character meals over the course of the week so we weren't planning anything more but I'm intrigued.

I'm also interested in a cruise for the Illuminations, if anyone else wants to think about going in on one - Friday, November 30. Thanks.

From allearsnet.com

What is the Candlelight Processional?
A Disney tradition now in its 36th year (2006), the Candlelight Processional is a moving presentation of the Christmas story in readings by a celebrity narrator and music by a Mass choir and 50-piece orchestra.

Where and when does it take place?

This event takes place in the America Gardens Theatre in World Showcase in Epcot. It is an outdoor (uncovered, not climate controlled) setting and is not cancelled due to inclement weather. It is recommended you dress accordingly.

It begins November 24 and runs every evening until December 30. Shows are approximately 40 minutes. Each evening there are three shows -- 5:00pm, 6:45pm, 8:15pm

Click here for the list of celebrties from each of the last 8 years. They each are there for 3 nights. Info is also there for what the dinner package entails, at least from last year. Obviously things are subject to change from year to year.

Hi! know that there are some of you out there that are already booked this week. Were you told that this was a "discounted week"? Lets try to keep this thread around. Maybe we can look each other up!:scared: ;)

Just checking back on this. Since this thread is on page 22, did I miss any info about a meet? :confused3 Looks like quite a few of us will be there around the same time. It would be great to get together! Any suggestions??? :rolleyes1

I haven't heard anything yet. All the resorts seem to be pretty full for our week. Lets see how many people respond to this thread now and maybe some good ideas will come up.

bigmama, that's why we changed our trip dates. the cm told me it was not very crowded...here's hoping she was right! However, others have said there's no longer a "not busy" time. Is it maybe because of us Dis-er's stirring up trips all the time???
