Hello Everyone!
My family & I just booked this cruise! It'll be me(I'll be 21 at the time of the cruise) and my parents. This will will be my third cruise, my mom's second, and my dad's first! I sailed on the Magic in July of 2004, and then my mom & I were on the Dream this past March! I am particularly excited to see all of the holiday decorations!

After this Thanksgiving, I am definitely looking forward to being on a cruise next year. I think doing all that work every other year works perfectly. Then take a year off and let Disney do all the work.

We usually cruise the week before Thanksgiving (1500.00 difference, you know) But our son's 8th birthday will land on Thanksgiving day in 2013.
I don't have to cook or clean & The Boy gets an extra special birthday!
This will be our 3rd cruise & we love doing the FE's.

I haven't been on this board in a while. We just got off Oasis of the Seas for this past week of Thanksgiving. I loved being on a cruise ship for Thanksgiving. Now we loved the Oasis, what an amazing trip, but we're not brand loyal to royal. Want to go back to Disney.

Weather in the Carib. was good for the most part, 1 cloudy day at sea, 2 gorgeous port days, and 1 mixed sea day, 1 mixed port day. So I call that a success. The weather in Fl was great on both ends. Let's hope for something similar next year.

I'd love to hear your comparison of the Oasis and Disney. I do love being on a cruise over Thanksgiving. We were supposed to be on the Fantasy this New Year's but the cost was too much.

Yes, I think many people will want to hear a comparison of the Oasis and Fantasy. I just spent some time on deck plans of the Fantasy, one thing that really stands out to me is how fewer bars there are. I'm no fan of a casino, it's just a place to walk through and hold our breath, so that is really nice. As far as things to do with 3 port days and 4 sea days, it's good that Oasis has Rock wall, flow riders, zip lines etc. Plenty to keep us busy. I do like that Fantasy makes 4 port days better it's a good trade to have less of those crazy things to do on the ship. There were long lines for all of those things I mentioned, at least 20-30 minutes. I'm hoping for a bit more of the "yes" we can type service on Fantasy than we got on the Oasis. We ran into a bit of it, but mostly service was pretty good. For $2000 more for the Fantasy than Oasis for the same week, my expectations are high! Not quite apples to apples as we booked a better cabin on Fantasy than we got on the Oasis. My girls were 9 and 11 this cruise and we really could have used a bit more space.

We were at WDW this year and someone on our bus had just gotten off the Thanksgiving cruise this year and they said the Fantasy was amazing !!

I am fine with never cooking a Thanksgiving meal again. Unfortunately, my family can be rather unpleasant to be around. We plan on getting out of town each year now.

We just got off of the Fantasy yesterday after the Eastern Caribbean cruise. We had a very rainy Puerto Rico stop and such a windy Castaway Cay day that every single port adventure was cancelled. We still had a great time.

We booked this cruise for next year. It will be our second Thanksgiving cruise (we sailed on the Magic in 2011) and our 4th Disney cruise. They serve lobster and turkey for Thanksgiving but no stuffing (or dressing depending on where you are from) or mashed potatoes. A little different but still good!

We have done the FE's every time and my children love it!! Gifts ranged from really cool cruise magnets to pixie sticks for everyone. You can definitely tell who put thought into it. I will help out with the organization, if the organizer needs it.

Hey Stacie! I was with you on the 2011 cruise. We haven't done the Fantasy yet. We were supposed to be on the NYE cruise next week but changed it to next Thanksgiving 2013 instead because of price.

Welcome Stacie !!! Do you want me to add you to the Fish Extender list ??? Since you offered, I will definitely keep you in mind if I need hep organizing. Thanks so much for the links for the Fish Extenders. I just love the Fish Extender activity. So much fun.

Too bad all of your ports got cancelled, but I am glad you still had a good time. I have been researching excursions and we haven't really decided what we wanted to do yet. Any input you or anyone else can give would be most welcome.
