I've "met" you over on Mousescrapper's report and hope to see you in the parks too! I'll save a Mickey Turkey for you!!:goodvibes

They did me too.:goodvibes

Marsha, did you skin a turkey for those?? :rotfl:

jk they look great!

So much for underplanning eh? I do the same thing. Start out saying that I'm not going to plan as much, and then (much to the dismay of my DH) I end up planning every single day. It's hard to make ADR's and NOT plan because you know you have to be in that park or resort close to your mealtime, etc.

well, some of those ARE actually real turkey and peacock feathers from the farms we went to in Sept! Others I bought at the craft store!

There is a Napoli in DTD at Disneyland and the basic thought I hear is that it is over priced for what you get. The food is pretty good from what I hear just not up to the price.

Yikes, maybe the service & atmosphere will get better over time, so you can try it on a future trip. The pizza does sound interesting and good.

I'll keep the ressie for now b/c we might want to try a nice pizza ... but paying over $20-30 for a pizza? That better be one terrific and very large pizza!

I have heard their pizza is good. We looked into the take-out Napoli last time we stayed at the resort itself and the the pizza does look good.

So our new plan:

1) Take Rachel out of school at 1:15pm on Friday. Teacher already approved. I just don't know if that'll count as a full day or not. She starts at 11:35am so it's more than 1.5 hours. I need to find out. Cuz if it counts as a full day, then we may just leave that morning!

I know here in IL it is based on grade, can't remember K-3, but I would get annoyed if you missed a 1/2 hour in the higher grades it would count as missing a 1/2 day....our kids are missing a full school day on Friday....their first absence...don't feel that bad.

Nov 22
AM -- Epcot Family Photo and Meet Duffy
11:30am -- Via Napoli (new)

3pm -- Go to Ft. Wilderness for DIS-meet with Mousescrapper and her family.

:cool1: :thumbsup2

4:55pm -- Trail's End Dinner (new)
6:30pm -- Private Carriage Ride through Ft. Wilderness (new)

If girls are still active, we can head over to MK for parade, rides and fireworks.

So I packed the other day, well a lot of the clothes, and then about 2 days later the forecast changed. YEah, it was about 10 days out so I know anything can still change, but last I looked they were calling for low 80s instead of low 70s. ON the day we leave (11/24), it drops down to 70 with rain, so I think we have the best days!!

I've been watching it too....but since I'm all packed don't want to get stressed over it. we are there longer, but relying on the washer dryer in the villa, we'll have hoodies, long sleeves for layering and everyone will have 2 long bottoms, I'm just worried about my feet...don't know what to wear. I usually tour in my crocs sandles...are my feet going to be cold in 50's:confused3

I wanted to share my last creative touch for this Turkey Mickey trip. (Thanks to WeHEARTMickey for the Disboard Turkey Design. There is a November thread where many of us have been chatting and one lady was kind enough to make these for us!)

These will be on my strollers

And then if anyone from DIS stops by to say hello, I'll give them one of these cute little guys!!

For some reason, my countdown was off by a day. I just had to change my ticker. But I'm happy I'll be at WDW on Thursday :yay:

I'm going to see if I spot you and your turkeys :goodvibes

Well I asked at the school office and they said, any early dismissal does not count as an absence. Woo Hoo!! So maybe we should send her to school regular time and then take her out 10 minutes later!!:rotfl2:

Oh, I also need to check if Saturday or Sunday night is EMH-PM for DHS. If so, we might try to go to the Playhouse disney dance party. Someone just came back on the Nov thread and said their kids had so much fun dancing with Mickey and Handy Manny, etc.

My girls would be perfect for that. So maybe OL and the dance party.

yay, for early dismissla not counting as an absence :thumbsup2

Yikes that is expensive for pizza..hope it is good

I hear ya!

Hey, just read this...guess we'll have to check it out.

If you’re visiting Magic Kingdom Park this week, you’ll be the first to see a series of new enhancements to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. The changes begin with a re-designed load area and a re-imagined gift shop called Hundred Acre Goods specializing in apparel, toys, plush characters and collectibles featuring Pooh and his friends.

Also this week, the attraction entrance will be temporarily relocated to the FASTPASS return lane while enhancements continue on several interactive elements being added to the queue. And beginning Thanksgiving week, young guests will start their adventure through the Hundred Acre Wood by jumping with Tigger, crawling through Eeyore’s house and playing in Rabbit’s garden before they board the attraction. And there’s more to come, with new elements debuting throughout the next month.

These enhancements will have a temporary impact on FASTPASS distribution which will not be available until the enhanced queue opens. Soon, we’ll resume FASTPASS distribution for The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at Mickey’s PhilharMagic where it will remain during Fantasyland’s expansion.

You know this makes me wonder if that means you guys will be getting Tigger Tails. They make them in our Pooh Bear store candy shop.

I remember you talking about them! If they have those treats, I know Rachel will want to get one!

Ok, I think I have my schedule all set now. Added a possible another DISmeet with the photopass photographer whom I met at MK in July.

I added possible rest stops and lunch/dinner spots for the drive down.

It looks like we'll drive until 10:30pm (with stops) on Friday night and until 3:30pm on Saturday. Now if we get up early, have no traffic and take less stops, we may arrive by 2pm!

The drive sounds planned out good. This last time we went during the day for the first time. Usually we go overnight and this year we went early in the morning and it was a much easier trip.

Hey, I wonder if any of the "interactive elements" involve aiming a laser at Winnie the Pooh (like in Buzz Lightyear). I could really get into that!! :rotfl2:

I told Rachel about the new WTP area and she definitely wants to check it out. So we'll report back here!

In July we did it in 2 nights ... this time we are only doing it in 1 night. I don't think it should be too bad ... unless we run into rain which just slows everything down like we did last time ... or of course just too much traffic.

I'm hoping since we are leaving the Friday afternoon before T-giving, that most people won't be leaving this early ... or at least I can hope.

The Unofficial Guide has upgraded our days to 8, 7, 10 and 10 so we can definitely expect crowds.

With that said, we are switching our arrival day. On 11/21, we are heading over to MK in the morning, which means losing our Turf Club lunch. but that's ok. I'd rather go to MK when it's the least crowded (projected) for the entire week.
