Here's how well you know the people on your Facebook page. A buddy of mine has been a members if your little group for some time. As matter of fact, he has 2 profiles in your little group. One is a woman, one is an older gentleman. It's the same profiles he has been using for a few years to get into these groups and mess with people. As far as me being "angry" ... That's laughable. I don't give a rats furry butt crack about your group or what happens with it. It's histarical how cluesless you are. Your daughter set the account up for you and you all the sudden think you have the world figured out. You seem to be the angry little old lady just because someone disagrees with you. You madam are the very kind of person as to why I don't care to join these little groups. Hateful, no it all, self righteous judgemental people.

Clearly you are mistaken because I am defiantly not .... 1. angry, 2. old or 3. little and my daughter is not old enough to setup anything. If indeed your friend has made these fake profiles as you claim, then he is very bored. He has not "messed" with anyone.


Again, sorry you feel slighted because people in the group use Facebook and prefer it. You could have continue to be active in this group with others who are not on Facebook. Your choice.

If you'd like proof, when my buddy comes online, I'll post your full name, address phone number, daughters name, address and phone number, where everybody works, ages and pictures. All my first message was was a friendly warning. Once anyone has your full name and city, it's a simple google search. You have no idea who is in your group. All you know is what he wants you to know. If he is the only one you're lucky, he just does it for kicks to mess with people. Others do it for ident theft.

Feel free to disclose what you like. What you are saying is nothing more than what we have shared in the group. With the exception of my phone number which anyone can find in the phone book.


Again, your friend has "messed" with no one in our group. Identy theft.... That is a long leap.

I agree with you, I am very disappointed. I believe the answer is to just go back to the old ways. No interaction until you meet on the boat. I believe I will close my disboard account and do just that.

I am sorry you had a bad experience - but to put in an analogy for you - when the movie theater happened in Colorado - do you think we all need to stop going to the movies? NO! BAD things do not happen ALL of the time to everyone, and it does not mean that all movie theaters are bad. Or even THAT movie theater. I am sorry for your bad experience on FB - and that you are unhappy here but the MAJORITY of the people are happy with the way we have been communicating and we have had a great time getting to know each other. I know you say its over and you are over it, but your lengthy post says otherwise.

Wow. Just WOW. You are comparing Facebook and Disboards "drama" to what happened in Colorado. There are some things that should not be compared to others. I understand the point you were trying to make but you went too far. You are going to bring up the death of people's family members to defend a Disney forum/Facebook. Hope you feel pretty good about yourself. You sure told that other poster. Good for you.

My DD got sick on Friday night...vomitting & fever!! I was so upset!! We were on FE list 3. I am so sorry to eveyone on our list. My DH & I had so much fun making our FE gifts & were/are so disappointed for so many reasons. I do know God is in control and it truly was not meant to be for us. Just FYI, we did have insurance but DCL had absolutely no sympathy as far as us making the right decision not to contaminate others on their dream vacation. Merita at DCL seemed so cold as I bawled my eyes out on the phone with her Sat morning explaining what had happened and that we were not going to lie on the health questionairre but could they please offer us a comparable cruise at the same rate which was over 5k. "Absolutely not" was her response. I know they have to deal with cancellations on a regular basis and can become cold to people's individual cases but this was our dream vacation/surprise for our three DDs & 20th anniversary present to each other that had been booked a year and a half ago...up in smoke at 12am the night before the cruise.
I do hope you all had a great cruise though & again am so sorry to all you fellow FEs on list 3!!

No, Sorry YOU ARE WRONG. If you have your privacy settings set correctly, NO ONE in your group can access your page. Just your name and photo like anyone else who is searching. I know this because I am in several groups and I cannot access pages of many of the people in the groups. You have to be FRIENDS with them to see anything. Also if you try to SHARE a photo to the group page, it won't work unless you are friends. I tried sharing a picture to the group page and only the people I was actually friends with could see the shared image. So if you join a group but have an open account and no privacy settings, then yes, the people in your group can know all about you.

Now you are just looking to misunderstand what someone is saying. She is just saying that bad things happen sometimes. It can happen anywhere. Mall, Movie Theater, SCHOOLS. To go through life being scared and cynical all the time is no way to live. You can't hide in your house, oh wait, that doesn't work either... Ever hear of home invasions? We are living in a crazy, messed up world and bad things do happen.

DisBoarders are notoriously rude and mean. Did you know that DCL CMs hate DisBoarders? I've heard comments. They also watch comments on here and they have certain DisBoarders on their WATCH list. They know when trouble makers are on board. So much for complete privacy on DisBoard.

Anyway, everyone has the right to choose how they want to prepare for their cruise. You can chat on here and go to the group meet or not actually ever meet anyone. You can chat on Facebook with the same idea. Whatever works for you, go for it.

Our Facebook Group was awesome. We raised $1,445 for a Make A Wish family that was on our cruise. I seriously doubt we would have raised this money on here since you all like to hide behind fake names and make rude comments.

I'll not be coming back on here. I'm unsubscribing from this thread, but I'll still be chatting with all my new friends on Facebook.

I'm so sorry this happened. I'm glad you had insurance, but it's really awful how you were treated. I actually would report the CM that was so cold to you. This can't be how they normally treat people. I've seen other posts about how Disney tries to help out families in similar situations. I love Disney but it seems to me that not all their CMs are living up to the Disney Standards I'm used to. I ran into a couple of really rude CMs this trip. Not on the cruise, but at WDW. They are either getting lackadaisical on their hiring policy or they are just not training their CMs as well as they used to.
