I'm seriously feeling like a goof! I can not figure out how to PM to participate in the fish extenders. I posted 1-9, then my response above. So I have my 10 posts but still not seeing the option to start a conversation. Can someone help please. Thank you so much!

Hey folks,

Under our Welcome board where our Guidelines are located, you'll find our test board where you can get your post count up to 10 without clogging up any of the threads you're viewing for other readers.

Here is the link in case you still need to post more: http://www.disboards.com/forums/test-board.88/

Thanks!
Thanks so much for this! I had no idea there was a test board where people could do test posts! Very helpful! I have a quick question. I had someone that joined, and they got up to 10 posts, they PM'd me to join the FE and I responded back. Since that time, they are now down to 4 posts so I can't PM them the update. If someone deletes posts, does it reduce their post numbers so they have to start over again?

Where did you post? Looking at your Disboard name information on the left, it shows you joined today, and your messages has 2 for the number of posts, which is why you can't PM yet. You need at least 10. You can use the test board link above, and if you are logged in you can click the Post Thread and just do a number (3, 4, 5, etc.) 9 times until you have over 10 posts. Each time you post, you should see your message number increase. Once you have over 10, you can click my Disboard name and in the pop-up click Start a Conversation to PM me. I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.

You're so welcome!! We have lots of folks who come over and would like to get their 10 posts quickly so we have it right there in the Welcome Board - feel free to send them on over as they join in here!

When the posts get deleted, it will reduce their post count, but they can quickly go over to the test board and bring their posts right back up. Of course, we'd like to encourage them to read the other planning boards and become an active poster as well, but there is that quick option too.

Glad to help if you need anything! :flower1:

I will definitely send people to the Welcome Board in the future! Thanks again! Now I just hope my missing FE participant reads my post about not being able to send her the update and increases her post count. :)

Sounds good! You're almost there - it say's 7 right now! :)
ugh. posted 10 number is up to 10. Still can't figure it out. I click on your name and it takes me to a black box with your info but no start a conversation. Do you mind starting one with me. So sorry to post all this confusion on here. Thanks for the help.

Hi, when I clicked your name, I also didn't see a Start a Conversation. I've never had that happen before. I noticed that there is a setting where you can set Accept Conversations From: Members or Only People you Follow, maybe you have this setting set to Only People you Follow? It was on Contact Details in the Profile.

Now this is getting silly! Ok I'll go look!
I am sorry. In hindsight I'm thinking maybe I should have just given out an email address and asked people to email me. I thought it would be easier to manage with PM's right in the disboards, but there have been issues with this approach. :worried:

FE

Dedwylder - Hi, I PM'd you back, I need a couple of more pieces of information. Please respond to back to my PM and I will then send you the list as it currently stands.

Stacey Landrith - Hi, your post count has gone down below 10 so I haven't been able to PM you the updated list. Use can use this thread to get your post number up, rather than using this thread if you like: Here is the link in case you still need to post more: http://www.disboards.com/forums/test-board.88/ Please let me know after your post count is up to 10 again, so I can send you the updated list.

:welcome: Hi, I'm organizing the Disboard FE for this cruise! Everyone is welcome to join, its not just for kids. Every FE I've participated in has always had a mix of cabins some with all adults and others with adults and kids. Because of some of the new restrictions I was going to try to just use PM (private message) here in the disboards for all communications. You need to have posted at least 10 times to be able to send a PM. Just do what others have done and post the multiple times counting down until you get to ten. If you look on the previous page, you can see others that have done this. Once you have gotten to 10, you can click on my disboard name to the right of my post and on the pop-up click Start a Conversation and you will be able to PM me.

FE Update

I still need confirmation and/or additional details from the following disboard members (rainalea, talbotfamily1, MrsThomas, TxMermaid1). Since I came into this late, if you don't confirm with me, I have to assume you are no longer interested in participating.

I want to keep things as simple and easy as possible. Feel free to gift however you choose and whatever time you choose. It can be a cabin gift to all, or if you prefer it can be individual gifts. I'm going to send a test post with an attachment to see if I will be able to send the list that way, if that doesn't work, I may need to request email addresses. If I do use email addresses I promise to send bcc so your email addresses are kept confidential. So be on the lookout for the test PM and please let me know if it was successful.

Last but certainly not least, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. I have participated in many FE's large and small, but this is my first time organizing so thanks for your patience! :)
Sorry I have been offline a while. We are still going and want in the FE. Group. It is me, my DH, Danny and 2 grand kids, Ace it 11 and Kyle 7

We are so excited to be going on this cruise. It is our family's first Disney Cruise. Any advice?

We just discovered fish extenders on pinterest. How do we get started and join a group?

Looking forward to meeting everybody onboard in November. Me, DH, DD (6) and DS (3).:mickeyjum

I got the following from Disney Cruise Line website under Very MerryTime Cruises. The dates for the Wonder 2014 are: November 09, 2014 - December 30, 2014, which is why I think our cruise will have it.

That's going to be so cool. We did Mickey's Very Merry Christmas at DisneyWorld last December and loved the holiday decorations.

:welcome: I responded to your PM about FE's.

As for advice, I love dropping off something to be signed with guest services - it is the easiest and most awesome keepsake. There's so many cool ideas, and you can do 2 items. These days we typically do the picture frames, but when the kids were little, we did the cutest little aprons, we've also done tote bags, t-shirts, and pillow cases. Just drop off at Guest Services a baggie with your last name and stateroom number with your objects, sharpies, and I usually include candies as a thank you, and by the last night they show up in your stateroom all signed.

We're doing a B2B so we have both cruises to make decisions on. I was originally thinking we wouldn't do any excursions on this cruise, since Castaway Cay is fun just as it is. Key West is easy to walk around ourselves. Even if it means making our way back to the ship shuttle in torrential rain with flooding of the streets up to our knees as happened last time. :lmao:Nassau we were considering just staying on the ship, but I've since noticed they are having a half day Atlantis excursion for our cruise since our port time is so short that I've been considering. Well that's the thought process as it currently stands.
Hello how do u know what Excursions are available our travel agent said they wouldn't be post till August 30

They'll be posted sooner than that depending upon when a person is allowed to book excursions. Below is the typical guideline (some cruises can deviate) for when you are allowed to book excursions and activities based on whether you are concierge (sailing in a suite) or your Castaway Cay Club Level.

120 Platinum or Concierge
105 days Gold
90 days silver
75 days new cruisers not Concierge

I'm a Gold level (sailed between 5 and 10 cruises with DCL), so I will be able to book excursions on 07/31/2015. To get a general idea of what excursions may be offered, you can go to http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/cruises-destinations/shore-excursions/search/ and read about them for the ports we are visiting. Some of these may not be offered, for example our short time in Nassau we don't have time to do the full "Atlantis Aquaventure" but I noticed there was a Atlantis Aquaventure - Half Day and when I looked at the details it said "This tour is only available on the Disney Wonder Galveston sailing on 11/13/15 and 11/27/15.", so I know this will be offered on our 11/13/15 cruise. :woohoo:

Update: I forgot to add, that if there is something specific you are interested in, just post it here and someone (Platinum, Concierge, or Gold if you wait until the 31st) can let you know if it is offered on our cruise.
