Nov 10, 2012--Western FANTASY!!

Hello,

Well we just got off the Magic for the 2nd time and decided to book the Fantasy while on board. We are booked for the Nov 10th sailing on the Fantasy.

Now we have to wait a whole year.

Count us in too - we too just got off a B2B on the Dream and booked this cruise while onboard! It will be me, DH and DD who will be 14 on the cruise. Look forward to getting to know everyone over the next year!

Hi Patti - how did you and your daughter enjoy the cruise????? We had a great time!!!

Now we have to wait a whole year.

When I booked this cruise back in February, my countdown was something like 635 days. To be under a year out doesn't seem so bad by comparison, lol.

Welcome rob_jen and also Tammy.

We just got off the Wonder yesterday....the kids loved celebrating their 4th birthday onboard a Disney Ship. So we decided to book another one for their 5th birthday (boy/girl twins).

We're a year away, but it's nice to have it booked and watch the days, weeks, and months pass while planning the big trip.

Looking forward to the trip already.

Kman34, hello and welcome. Please let me know if you would like me to change how I listed you in the roll call. It wasn't clear from your post who your "we" includes, other than you and the twins. :)

Sorry....It'll be me, my DW, and one boy turning 5 on the trip....and his sister who'll also be turning 5 on the trip.

Now we just gotta get past this year of waiting...:rolleyes1

Hello Patti! I'm glad to see another tween girl onboard. My DD will be cruising 3 weeks before her 12th birthday.

I will probably start doing something official with the FE list in the spring. Keep an eye on this thread and your PM mailbox.

How was the Dream?

We loved the Dream but I did find it very big compared to the Magic/Wonder. I needed DD's help to quickly get from location to location. Margaret is excited to know that there will be at least one girl close in age to her on board and on the FE list. We should set up a kids meet the first day on board too.

Hi Tammy,
I recognized your DIS name on the first page today. I didn't make it to the DIS meet on the Dream but I plan to do so on this longer cruise so I can finally put faces with names. Margaret and I both loved the Dream and had a lot of fun with our shore excursions and hair braiding adventures in Nassau (a long story best told over drinks in a bar!) That was our first vacation since my DH died suddenly over the summer but it was a good move forward for us in the healing process.

We didn't make the meet either, but then I never do :confused3 I always have good intentions ;)

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your trip, I know how hard it must have been, but I'm sure your DH would have wanted you to go and spend the time with your DD making memories - I would love to hear your stories - we didn't so any excursions, so a quick trip to the tent market to be harrassed for about an hour, than back to the ship. I'm looking forward to going someplace other than Nassau (we did the B2B and 2 stops there was just too much).

The Wigs will be sailing this cruise, too! :cool1: This will be our second Disney Cruise (booked it while on our first Nov 27, 2011!! :rotfl:) We would like to participate in the FE now that I know how it works! I had signed up for one for the first cruise and was waiting for an email or something as to what cabins I would we be responsible for...I thought that's how it went. Well, anyway I owe A LOT of generous people an apology for not participating :guilty: My girls LOVED all the cool trinkets and fun-stuff they rec'd each day, so I plan on really spreading some Disney Magic on this cruise to make up for my bonehead mistake!! Thanks for organizing the group...it helps build the excitement when so many people are involved! :woohoo:
On this cruise will be Me (Geni), DH (Jeff)-We will both be the big 4-0 on this cruise and specifically celebrating our 11th Wedding Anniversary, DD (Rylynne will be 10) and DD (Charlee will be 6).
We look forward to meeting up with some families with children around our kids' ages...They liked the kids club last time, but we were traveling with 2 other families. This time the Wigs are going solo, so any friends we can "meet" ahead of time will help! :flower3:
Also, we got married and honeymooned on Grand Cayman during Hurricane Michelle...it was also not even one month after 9/11! :scared1: It will be fun to re-visit the Island and see how it has changed. We never got to see the turtles (they got blown away) and the waters were too rough for Stingray swimming. We did go to Rum Point-VERY realaxing day!! I can't wait to hear what excursions people choose to do...we were fortunate to be on the island for 10 days, so we want to have maximum fun during our few hours there! :cheer2:

Hi Geni! Do you pronounce your name like "Jeannie" or "Jenny"?? I'm glad to see more kids on board. I'm turning 40 this coming year as well. We will have to have a belated birthday drink.

Regarding FE...when I formally organize it, I will be announcing in the thread and also sending a PM invitation to each roll call member. You will not be left uninformed.

I wish our port stop on Grand Cayman was longer. It's going to be hard to only choose one thing. :sad1:

@ Ariel224...My name is pronounced "Jenny" ;) I did feel a little under-informed about the FE our first cruise...but then again I just plain was OVERWHELMED with planning our cruise and WDW trip! I just hope the other Dis'ers (especially those with kids that did not get anything from us) will find it in their hearts to forgive this poor, lost lady! :sad2: We are sooooo looking forward to this trip...fun times, new friends, and another cruise!!:banana:

And about the belated Birthday Drink...The Wigs are ALWAYS on the hunt for a reason to "celebrate"!! ;):wizard:

Hi, I (Rob) just turned 40 a few weeks ago so I will still be celebrating my 40th on the cruise.......

Hi all,

So we're from Australia and we did our very first ever visit to the USA and our first ever disneyland visit in nov 2011. got home, got through the mickey withdrawal, and decided we need to go back -- so we're doing the 7 night western carribean fantasy cruise on nov 10, 2012 :)

it's just the 2 of us - Alicia & Carlo. I'll be 31 at time of sailing, he'll have (only just) turned 34. we'd love to join in a dismeet, as we haven't yet been blessed with kids, and don't have any friends who are disney lovers like we are... we also love any excuse to have fun, celebrate and just hang out with other like minded adults :) i'm the forum-poster (alicia) but carlo is the lurker :)

we're most looking forward to grand cayman and the mayan pyramids/ruins in mexico. this will only be our 2nd time travelling, and we're eager to see/do/experience :)

after the trip, we're flying back to disneyland and doing 9 nights at DLR for our early xmas celebration :)

also... would love to participate in the FE -- can anyone fill me in on how this works, as a rough guide?

Happy Holidays!

Just wanted to wish our cruise friends a very, happy and safe holiday! Best for wishes for a Great NEW YEAR!!!!

hi all,

hope you all had a fabulous and safe holiday season and have a fabulous New Year. All the best for 2012 and whatever it may bring your way.

Carlo and I are getting serious about our trip planning, as this will be our first cruise, and only 12 months after our last o/seas trip doesn't leave us a whole lot of time to save :)

all the best everyone -- only 319 days to go!!!

is it just me, or is this not a popular cruise?

is there something wrong with the dates/timing of this cruise i don't know about?

if the cruise isn't fully booked out, does that mean that some of the port adventures won't be offered, ie less people?

Hello from the Snyders, sailing on November 10th aboard the Fantasy! My name is Grace and my husband Ray and daughter Claire (6) sailed for the first time November 26th 2011 on the Magic and we are so ready to sail again! hi all,
