Nov 1 has anyone found 1/2 off candy?

Unfortunately for me our Walmart had candy 50% off AND had some decent candy left. Oh why oh why did I buy so much. :crazy2:

I was in two WalMarts today--both had their candy 50% off. Yep, I bought some!

Thanks guys! By the time our last guest left and I got to Walmart they didn't have anything good left. I ended up at Target. It was 30% but I got several of the big 90 count bags of chocolate candy bars. I will have plenty to do treat bags for the birthday party and send some to school for breakfast with Santa. And one for the shoe boxes the girl scouts do. I would have liked 50% but I got the kind I wanted and I don't have to worry about it now. If it goes 1/2 off on Friday I may pick up 1 more for treat bags to send to school for her birthday but if not that's OK too. Seems like I go through a lot of candy in November!

I'm not a fan of Target's new system. Last time candy started at 50% off and went to 90% off like everything else was Halloween 2009 and only some stores near me had that, others were testing the 30% off and it stayed like that starting with Christmas after that. Now bagged candy doesn't make it to 90% off at Target anymore :sad1:

Just remember that candy can be saved for Christmas if its not all orange and black...but small children might not notice, lol! Chocolate from Hershey freezes very well :)

Just sayin':rolleyes1

My Walgreens in Chicago had 50% off today but no big deal really. Got a bag of Reeses peanut butter pumpkins for $3.50. Last week they were on sale for $3.99. So a little savings but not as much as it would sound like. Also most of the good stuff wasnt there today.

My Walgreens was also 50% off but it didn't ring up the price at all on the bag I got (a huge bag of swedish fish & sour patch kids). The cashier asked me if knew the price and I had no idea because the candy aisle was a mess so she rang it up as $2.50.

I may go looking for some more today. Candy corn sounds pretty tasty and I didn't have any at all this season.

Target was 30% on most candy...

but I scored 50% off the last two packages of Reese's Pumpkins!! :woohoo:

What about costumes at Target? Anyone know when they typically go 75% and 90%?

Since Target was only 30% yesterday, I also stopped by Wahlgreen. Their stuff was 50% off but they were already packing it all away to make room for Christmas. They had a few bags of candy piled in shopping carts, but all the decorations and non-candy items were already packed up to ship back. I was able to snag one Mickey pumpkin out of a box before it was taped up.

I don't know but our Target didn't have much of a selection left now so don't wait too long if you are looking for something specific.

I was there late last night and the 3 racks of costumes they had left had been moved out of the way so they could condense shelves and setup more christmas. The racks were not marked. I was hoping to score a clearance pirate costume for our cruise next summer. There wasn't much left and none of that was what I needed, so I didn't bother to price check. Everything in that section was marked 50% though. maybe that included the costumes??

Costumes and home decor were 50% but candy and other edibles were only 30% yesterday.

It was slim pickings, but I was able to get a bag of individually wrapped Twizzlers and one of the Reese's individual packs at Stop & Shop last night, for half off. Because of the storm, our town is having Trick Or Treat on Friday 11/4, and I figured DH might want a bit more than we had originally bought since there may be more kids out and about.

Haven't made it to Target and don't think I will...DS and I are flying to Arizona tomorrow and I'm WAY behind on preparing! Plus we had no power or heat for 3 days so there's even more laundry and dishes around than usual! :scared1:
