Are you still eating at Liberty tree on the 31st? I think that's what you had mentioned. We're eating at Crystal Palace just wondering if there's a chance that we might see you there.

We do still have that ressie, but I'm cancelling it too, as we will have used up our TS credits and I don't feel like paying $200.00 OOP for a dinner meal. We'll be doing a QS that evening. Any recommendations on a QS place in MK?

I don't really have an recommendations for MK, someone had recommended the Plaza. we've eaten at Cosmic Rays, it was ok, just quick and easy.
If you look on Allears.net and click on dining then magic kingdom, you can see all of the menu's and prices for all restaurants and snacks in the MK.

I would love to eat with Le Celier but we already have all our ressies booked and I can't think of any the family would let me change LOL. As far as fast food at the MK I like Cosmic Rays for the variety.

Thanks to tjbaggot and her terrific organization of our FE exchange, I have put my [over]work aside and started to focus on OUR CRUISE!

Indeed, I just ordered our FE on eBay (had grand illusions about making one, but I am artistically challenged, so who was I kidding ;-) Can't wait til it comes in the mail!

Anyone interested in meeting in person on Sunday afternoon on board? I heard some FE groups meet by one of the pools at a set time for a little bit. We would be interested in that if anyone else has an interest. Our boys are 4and 7 and would love to meet some other kids.

I bought the material for our FE this wkend. Now to actually do the work. The kids had fun picking everything out. I hope it turns out ok. I also thought about ordering from Ebay but I've been buying so much for the cruise I was feeling cheap LOL. Of course after all the materials I may just be paying $30 anyway.
We plan on heading to the Mickey pool after boarding anyway so would love to meet up with anyone there. We're all supposed to check in there anyway to confirm rooms right? I also want to say thanks to tjbaggot for all your hard work organizing things and making magnets for the cruise.

Yes we'll be having some kind of meet by the Mickey pool. We need to have some kind of check in, in case some us receive some Pixie dust and get an upgrade thus a change in Stateroom numbers. For those who want to hang around, Wonderful! For those that can't hang around, a quick check in with me about stateroom numbers will also be great. If there are any changes, I can make the rounds to cabins later that evening to leave a notice of those changes for people that wont' have time to stay by the pool.
I will be wearing a lime green T-Shirt (as will the rest of the family that day), and I will carry around a lime green Mickey head on a Stick so I should be easy to find! What time do you all think is a good time? I will likely be there right after lunch (or maybe we'll take our lunch down to the pool and eat there) right up until it's almost time to get ready for the safety test. DS6 will want to be in the pool all day!

We plan on eating right by the Mickey pool so I'll be there as soon as they let me on. I got a call the other day from a Florida area code. I got all excited thinking it was someone trying to get me to pay for an upgrade. I don't plan on doing it but I was excited because I figured that would mean they were close to assigning cabins. But it wasn't boohoo.

I would also like to get on board as early as possible and hang out/eat lunch by the pool (or inside if it's too hot) early in the day. What is the earliest they let people on? I am thinking it would be around 11am or 12pm, since they open the port at 10am. I'm going to try to shoot for 10am too. We live in Orlando, so I'm going to try to leave the house at around 8:30-9:00am.

I am a little nervous about taking a taxi on our own to the Comfort Suites, since I have never been in Nassau before. Is there a way to know if it is a legit taxi or not? Or is it pretty easy to get around there?

The legal taxis can be arranged for inside the terminal building you have to walk through to get into the streets. Maybe we can share a cab? I'm not going the comfort suites but am going to the Atlantis Aquarium. Not sure if thats about where you get off or not. Not even sure if it'll be just me and two of my kids or more. But it's a possibility if you'd like to think about it.


Got my hair cut last night, It WAS A MISTAKE to go to that place!!!
Went to my hair dresser friend today and she fixed it up as best she could. It is better, but not perfect (it was already way too short to do too much fixing without making it shorter). I've never had my hair this short, never wanted it this short, and will never go to that lady again. I'm waiting till her shift is over today, to call the manager about it. I think normally I would have said, Oh Well, It'll grow back. BUT, we have this vacation coming up in 4 weeks, in which there will be a TON of photos taken, so yah, I was really freaking out last night. I must go buy some hairclips and head bands now. How much does hair grow in 4 weeks? LOL.
Any of you ever BTDT just before a major vacation?

Hi all,

This will be our first Disney cruise, our second cruise overall (Crown Princess 2008) me 46 (mom) and two girls 9 & 11. It will be both my birthday and one of my 9 year olds birthday on the cruise.

The FEs, I've seen some beautiful ones, though luckily for me I can buy one on Ebay because I am completely skillless at crafts, one question, who fills them with little gifts?

Any suggestions for me as a first time DC'er? I've signed the kids up for the camp, and am planning on doing the Dolphin swim at Blue Lagoon. Anyone have any comments, good or bad, about Aquaventure for the afternoon? I've tried on the main board to get some comments, so far only one.

I am also doing a mother/daughter cruise with my soon to be 8 year old. This is our first time on DCL (we've cruised once before on Carnival), and we can't wait!

Thanks; I think they are next to each other, so that sounds good to me. I still haven't booked my room at Comfort Suites. Am planning on doing this to get access to the Altantis pool, but may decide not to. Either way, I definitely want to at least see Atlantis since we've never been.

I feel your pain and have been the victim of a bad haircut. I am probably dating myself, but I ended up with a Joan Jett haircut one time. It was awful. The good news is that it probably will grow a lot in 4 weeks!

I hope so too! I did get some nice comments on it while out shopping tonight. (I always seems to run into people I know when out at Walmart!) So that made me feel better! My friend did a really good job at fixing it up as best she could, I'm thankful for that.
We are scheduled to leave in 28 days, but now DH says he wants to leave after Breakfast on the Sunday instead of in the wee hours of Monday morning. HMMMM, that means being in Florida one day sooner, or using the extra day to drive less each day. That might make things more relaxing, less tiring. Something to think about!

Uh OH! Did you all hear that the free port workers, where the Wonder has or is going into dry dock, are talking about going on strike????? So far they haven't, thank goodness, BUT what happens to the Wonder and booked cruises if there is a delay because of a strike? I Wonder, if DCL has ever run into this problem in the past?

Dh was always adding days when we drove, not like I minded LOL. I still can't believe we are flying I didn't think I would ever get dh on a plane and if my mom wasn't coming this time we would have probably ended up driving still. Dh can't tell my mom no though. I think he likes her better than me. I don't mind long drives but I do mind dh's driving. Shhh don't tell him I said that. He thinks he's a great driver but he is NOT. He is one of those people that is always trying to multi-task. Besides he fell asleep driving when we first started dating and nearly killed me, I'm still not over that yet. I'm probably going to have to drag his drugged up butt on the plane.

I did see this We are what 3 cruises after drydock? I'm hoping that if they are delayed that it's not by that much. I'm saying a prayer.

Both my boys are fish, so if we do not have lunch by the Mickey pool, then we will certainly head there immediately afterwords and stay until they kick us out for the safety test. So anytime will work for us!

I see many of us are planning on being at the terminal around opening time, so I'm sure we'll meet inside there too! Made our Lime Green Mickey Head on a Stick today, to carry around. Actually, my 6 year old son helped by painting the Paint Stick, GREEN! I cut out Mickey Heads out of lime green craft foam and glued them back to back at the top of the paint stick. "Looks pretty cool", so says my son! He just might be the one waving that thing around in the terminal, LOL. (he thinks it's his).
