Nov.1 2009 on the Wonder! it's never too early to chat!the

Sure. Do you want to meet after the lifeboat drill? Do you want to meet by the pool or somewhere else?

The Sail Away party is right after the life boat drill. Hmmmm what time is first seating dinner at? Would there be time between the party and first seating dinner?

Hmmm.. we have done this somewhere between boarding and the lifeboat drill, maybe 3ish? Everyone will have eaten and time to go back to their cabin. The drill is 3:30 right?

I have started my FE... Aactually coming along pretty well. I had to improvise a lot! We have nowhere near here that sells fabric (silly Walmart) so I bought an apron at Michael's and some bandanas.:rotfl: Since the apron is heavy, I didn't do any backing. My biggest problem will be embellishing it...don't know what to do or how to do it! :lmao:

Then I get to make one for my niece's cabin. Hehe...

I just finished mine last night. My two teens started it. They cut out the pieces, did the interfacing and ironed in the pleats. Yesterday while they were all at school, I assembled it. What I did to embelish it was to print off the graphics I wanted, Mickey Heads with names, onto iron on transfers (I use the Avery dark transfer sheets), then cut them out and ironed them onto the pockets. I must say, this turned out to be quite simple to make, and enjoyable! I think I might make a little business after our cruise by making them and selling them. I think I can do it for less than what some are selling for on Ebay.
Anyway, here's a photo of mine along with the shirts I made for us to wear on embarkation day and the Mickey Head Stick I'll be carrying around (or my 6yr old will be). The shirts are ALL GREEN but the ones for my daughter and I are just a different shade, although they look bluish in the photo.

Wow!!~! Awesome Job!! You should definately sell some on Ebay when you get back.

Hi everyone.....my family of 4 just booked for the Nov 1 cruise on the Wonder. :banana:My family includes me (9th cruise) my adult daughter (8th cruise) my mom (4th cruise)and dad (3rd cruise). I know its too late for the FE exchange, but I leave gifts for my family members in my FE. I love to decorate our door so if you are out and about come by 2518 and see what I have. November is a good month for us as it is just after both my birthday and my daughters and just before my parents anniversary. I look forward to walking the halls of the ship and looking for everyone's doors and FE. Have a great cruise everyone, and perhaps we will see you onboard!!!:woohoo:

Welcome! I will definately be taking a tour and checking out your door! We never did travel to other floors to see doors, on our first cruise, as we didn't know people decorated their doors. But then I found the dis boards, and WOW, Wish I had known about the DIS before our first cruise!
We are planning on have a group DIS CRUISE MEET photo done onboard at some point so watch for further details on that. I think EYES4MICKEY is taking the lead on that?

EYES4MICKEY, as Pyramid2000 mentioned, 3ish would work for me I think. How does that time look for everyone else? Before the life boat drill sounds good to me.

Sounds good to me too. 3ish, before the life boat drill. Where are we meeting is it still by the pool? pirate:

Love the FE and shirts! Came out great!!

I would post a picture, but that would entail too many steps for me!:rotfl2:

Charge battery
Empty card
Take picture
Download it
Figure out how to post it (again)

I am a bit on the lazy/ procrastination side ;)

Then again, I wold actually have to FINISH it first!;)

Got the stuff to make a second for my niece. I'll see which one I like better before personalizing. He he...

Welcome aboard!!

You are smack dab in the middle of our rooms! We are in 2506, 2508....2526,2528

Waiting to see where the last cabin will be. Of the 3 cabins I just booked for friends, the 2 that were GTY12 got bumped up to Cat 9! They got very lucky!

Oh, were you able to get a FL rate?

Welcome! So tell us about your plans. Anything before or after the cruise, any excursions?

Excellent job I love the base material you used on the extender, very vibrant. We still don't have our shirts done we were supposed to work on them last Saturday at my sisters but I spent the whole day making her kids pinocchio and prince costumes so I guess I'll be down her house again this Friday working on stuff. We are also making our own autograph books. I'll post everything we made when we are done. I'm still waiting on her to make the lettering for my FE and then I'll post pics. I'm going to post the costumes I made her kids later they didn't turn out too bad.

Welcome! I'll definitely come by and check out your door.
Hope you have a great cruise as well, and maybe we'll see you onboard!

Wow, TJ Baggott, those are amazing--I am just getting back to the board with what , t minus two weeks and a day--can you say last minute :scared1::scared1: Made a mad dash over to EBay to find a fish extender...I know, slap me in the head now, I ma be the only FE gift person with three ziploc bags taped to our door

I'm going to try to get on more on the board at night to catch up, but I just wanted to say how excited :yay: I am.

Haven't told my kids yet, figure I have to a day or two before we leave...not sure what I'm going to tell them yet. Thought about leaving the luggage tags on their pillows.

Have a good day everyone!

Ntongan, I sent you a pm.

ALSO, does anyone know if we are to still use the luggage tags if we are DRIVING TO PORT ourselves, and leaving in our own vehicle. We are on a land and Sea package. On the one hand, how will CM's Know what room to put our luggage in, so perhaps we do use the tags? Or once we check in at the hotel, will we be given tags there to put on our luggage?

Got your PM :worship:

So, we were originally going to drive, but found via Southwest's DING a great rate for a flight the day before, so we will be in Cocoa Beach the night before. Using points for a motel room :yay: Actually cheaper than 20 hrs of driving and the one day overnight in a motel.

Can anyone suggest a good place for dinner in the general area?
