Noting celebration on resort reservation

I haven't noticed a spot where I can add a celebration reason to our reservation, even when I did our online check-in. Where can I note this?

Never have understood why they took the ability to do this away when they rolled out MDE. Why make people call you?

It is for agents. It didn't work at all in Chrome but I left the screen open and it timed out and gave a message about returning too the agent booking site. Strangely while it worked on Safari it doesn't recognize my reservation info

The link works for me, but still no place to add a celebration. Oh well, it's no big deal, don't want to call just for that, maybe I'll mention it at check-in.

I can't even see that I am celebrating my birthday. When I call the agents can see what I am celebrating but on my MDE I can't see anything.

Just remember that unless you paid for a celebration, Disney just notes what you are celebrating. There's no guarantee that anything will be mentioned or you will "get" anything for your celebration.

I got the error message as well. Not sure that it saved. I will probably just mention it when I call the resort for my room request.

Just added our celebrations via the website noted above. Got the error message too, but when logging back in, they were all noted on the reservation! Thanks to previous poster!!

I called to add celebrations. I don't really "expect" anything but I'm hoping they have the celebrating buttons ready to hand out to my party members when we check-in.

Will entering our info at the above link get us birthday buttons? Or should we call for that? My next trip is for my 40th and my daughter's 10th b-day.

UPDATE- it wouldnt work for me. After i entered my info and hit DONE I got a message that said, something to the effect of, my info doesnt match anything in their records abd to double check all the info. Everything was correct.

I think i will just call.

What exactly happens when you notate a birthday? Just the birthday button? It's my daughter's birthday during our trip (which is why we are going), but I read somewhere that people just say it's their birthday in order to get a button and recognition from CM's.

We were celebrating my daughter's 6th birthday this past July. Pretty much every single CM wishes them a Happy Birthday, she also got a special button at Bibbidy Bobbidy, and a free dessert (usually cupcake, except she got a special trio at Jiko) at every table service meal. Other little surprises like stickers, origami animals at Epcot, a signed birthday card at character meals, or a pin from a CM. Just depends on the CM, but she felt very special from all the attention :) Oh and one day when we returned to our room at the Beach Club after a day at the parks, she had balloons and an autographed birthday card from Mickey and the Gang! She freaked out she was so excited!
