Yes, sorry about that. I didn't get to read about the 10/27 cruise since we boarded right after that one got back. Please everyone accept my sincere apologies. I really meant for this to be a positive thread, since we had such a great time, just wanted to share it. So hereby I officially amend my initial post, just to clear everything up:
Despite the many legitimate reports of various problems, difficulties, and issues on the first sailings of the reimagined Disney Magic, I'm happy to report that we did not experience any of these issues on the 11/1 sailing. It appears that DCL is addressing those issues and others fairly quickly and working to ensure a great experience for guests while they put the finishing touches on the newly reimagined ship.
Leave it to dis to make a happy great cruise post into something it was not intended to be!
Again glad you enjoyed and that is what vacation is all about!!!

Were the lines for the Aquadunk short all of the time? Did you happen to make it to the spa or quiet cove?
remember the fellow who absolutely knew all the inside information about the (then) new ships and when and where they would sail....he would get sooooo upset if someone questioned him......![]()
I'm really glad that DCL is continuing to work on the ship and hopefully all areas will be at 100% very soon.
I think everything will be fine by April. I, just from my experience, did not notice many problems on this cruise. There are still some rooms they are working on, and there is a plumbing issue on deck 6, but I'm sure they'll get that fixed by then. I was told once not to sail on a new ship for the first year, but DCL seems to be different. It only took them a few months to iron out problems on the Dream, I'd expect the same for the Magic. As we all know, they'll always be doing routine maintenance in matter how 'new' the ship is.I'm glad you amended your OP.I'm very happy you had a great cruise! We are booked to sail her April 2014 and I was a little panicked after reading reports and was considering "jumping ship" (ha ha) for a moment, and sailing the Dream again instead.

Oh, he's still here -- just under another name. He's posting the same sort of thing and his location is the same so pretty obvious.

We just got back from the Nov. 1-6 sailing on the magic and I'm happy to report that conditions are definitely improving after the legitimate problems we heard about after the first two sailings. We were on Deck 7 inside room. We had no issues or complaints. We were upgraded from a cat 11b to a 10a on Thursday night before sailing, I'm guessing they tried to move people around to finish work on any rooms that we're having problems. Honestly, they were still working on some things but if you have cruised before, you know they are ALWAYS working on something, even on the 2 new ships. It was nothing that we really noticed or inconvenienced anyone we talked to. The ship is beautiful, the service was the best we e had in 9 DCL cruises. This cruise reminded me of why we fell in love with DCL in the first place. I can't wait to sail to the Magic again sometime next year, she is once again my favorite DCL ship! I don't even want to go on the Dream after sailing the Magic this cruise (maybe the Fantasy, since it's 7 nights), though I'll skip Miami and wait til the Magic comes home to Port Canaveral before sailing again.
Yep, and seems to be spending quite a bit of time bashing the owners of the Disney Cruise Line Blog on other boards.
She wasn't close to being "show ready" for the first three cruises. None of the posts by SilverFox were exaggerated. If she was a land hotel, rather than a floating one, her occupancy rate would have been 0 in the latter part of October
FYI-I updated my original post to remove the phrase in question. The 'E' word hijacked this thread and took away from the point I was trying to make.
Thank you! We truly had a great time and all I wanted to do was share that.
We just did online check in last night for our March cruise; although on the Fantasy, I'm ready for more as always! No worries!!! So glad the Magic is getting her issues fixed...love the ole girl!!! We had our Maiden Voyage on her back on July 30, 1998 so I feel we have come full circle. Hey, there were a ton of issues on the Magic MV as well and we continued to sail DCL (30 times) so they must be doing something right LOL!!! MJ

We were in 7001 and 7003. We were upgraded from 5001 and 5005, I'm guessing because they were shuffling people around to work on the cabins that still had problems. There were some plumbing issues deck 6 aft that we noticed when passing out our FE gifts, but they were working on it and I think had moved people from those rooms. My guess is the issues will be fixed or they will move you.:Thank you so much for the report! I can't remember, did you report what deck and cabin area you were in? I am aft deck 6 so I am a little nervous about that, but not enormously because I know that DCL will fix it if something is wrong or move us if they can't, from prior experience, and I know my cruise isn't full so we can move around if need be. Not the case in the 2 day cruise that had so many problems and wasn't ready to sail yet.
