I do feel for the injured person, but lets face facts. The shuttle boats aren't exactly speed demons, and they pretty much drive a straight line. Where as we all have seen people driving the 'racers' like they are a toy, oblivious to what is going around them.
I don't know how many times I have been on one of the Magic Kingdom launches and they have had to throw it into reverse because someone was headed straight towards them or crossing in front, close to the bow. Especially there in the area where it narrows at the 'water bridge'.
