Any opinions on where's the best cup of Joe?

I never developed a taste for Coffee, so this is second hand info. But, from what I hear from the Joe-meisters that I know, (and tooneric mentioned it a few posts back), the Kona Cafe has excellent coffee.

Also, when I go to see Off Kilter there's a stand right next to their stage (by the canadian pavillion) that seems to have a lot of folks lined up to buy the coffee there, so I imagine it must be good, but I don't know for sure.

I would imagine Kona cafe would eb good, as Kona is a place that grows coffee beans. It would just be wrong not to. The stands everyone has mentioned sounds like the ones that have espresso and such too. SO, maybe that's how you know you're safe. If they offer espresso drinks and not fies, it's ok. WHO knows...

As I sip my third cup of coffee for the day from my Mickey's "Really Swell" Coffee mug, I'm thinking IdratherbeinKonaCafe. Other places I've had good coffee:
Boma's at AKL,
The coffee shop just outside the food court area at CR,
The coffee shop in Epcot by the fountain in Future World (I think it's called Fountainview and is on the Ice Station Cool side of the fountain.
Not really sure about good coffee in the other parks. If only Guiness had caffeine...

Yep Yep - the little stands Mar and I are talking about have a few basic coffee drinks that they make there while you wait similar to a coffee house. So its nice and fresh at least (although - with the traffic at WDW, I don't think that its a lack of freshness that makes the coffee not so good at the cafeteria type restaurants).

It is obvious that I need to spend more time in EPCOT from all your comments here. I am ashamed to say that I have never seen "Off Kilter" or the living statues or or...AAAAAAAAAAAA I see a need for an adult only trip soon!!!

Awww Laura, sorry to say the living statues are dead. Well not actually dead, but they aren't there any more as of a few months ago.

Still lotsa time to see Off Kilter though, from what I hear they aren't going anywhere for a long time, woohoo!!

Ah well - that is the beauty of WDW, there is always something to do and see that you haven't done before! There are actually a lot of reasons I want to do an adults only trip and at some point I am sure we will make it! The boys actually seem to enjoy walking around EPCOT more these days, so I am hoping on our trip in December to spend a whole day there with everyone happy and entertained. I just keep telling myself we have time to see it all - goodness I just love owning DVC!!!

Gee...This is kind of like the Date Night thread. SHould I feel guilty that all of my trips have been adult trips. However, I am looking forward to a time where I don't feel the need to commando and take a niece or nephew or two for Kids trip!

Heck no don't feel guilty!!! Believe me, the adult trip aspect figured heavily into our decision to buy into DVC.

I see it this way - Mom and Dad need time too, but there are some things and some times in a small child's life when if you don't take advantage of it, you will miss it forever. So, for now, I would feel semi-guilty taking an adults only trip to WDW. They LOVE it. They ask constantly when we are going back. They say thank you and really mean it when we get to go. They are troopers about traveling and I wouldn't miss these times for the world!

So, hubby and I are doing other things for "adult" time right now. When Paula Jean is 7 or 8 and the boys are just plain old tired of Disney too, then, it will be OUR time at the world. Maybe it takes a little longer to get there...maybe it doesn't and they are sick of it sooner than I expect...either way, I am enjoying every minute with them for now. :)

But, I am jealous too *smile*

Someday, we'll have to meet at the world. Hubby and I are great with kids. We'll give you a night off! :teeth:

(ok - my smilies are broken again today! *frown*)

I would really like that! The meeting part. :) The night off too lol but it would be the icing on the even better cake of getting to meet face to face!

Our friends that went with us in April really wanted us to take an adults only trip this April with them (its their 10th anniv - hubby and I had ours last year), but I just can't with what would be a 6 month old at home. I did offer our babysitting services so they can go out one night for a nice dinner. (am I coming across as one of those parents that never spend time apart from their kids? lol hope not...we do go and do things alone from time to time and really enjoy it! )

We will have to see if this trip comes off or not, because I suspect hubby will be working then, which means new job with no vacation time yet, etc. I have already told him that he has to tell anyone offering him a job that he has a "pre-paid" vacation coming in December because I am NOT giving that up lol. Maybe this is going to have to be our year to bank and then do a blowout in 2007 (ok - realistically, that isn't going to happen lol I am already having TERRIBLE withdrawals and we have been there MANY times this year just not since early June! :teeth: I am a mess lol)
