:rotfl2: @ the smiley with the puppy card!!! That one is great Mar!

Glad to see you back Rash. Was getting a bit worried about your colt, etc.

Off to a BBQ in the rainstorms of Dennis this afternoon. Anyone want to come with me? You can have my share of the cold beverages that are off limits. :drinking1

Hi lllovell -- I see you have moved to double digits on your current "expansion". In honor of that, I'd be happy to throw back a drink or too!

Here's to 99 days from today (give or take a few), when our lllovell will have a new little lllovell to love!

Love to come with, but since I can't I'm having a Yuengling right now in your honor. And in honor of the fact that my wife's due date is exactly one month from today. I am savoring every last sip of this cold one because this may be the most relaxed I'll be for the next 18 years.

PUPPY!

I am soooooo excited to see that counter get below 100 days .... yet - got the "going to the hospital" package at the doctor this past week and I was like AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA (even though I have done this twice before) lol

Thank you everyone for you kind wishes!

Rash, I feel your pain and yet...isn't it fantastic? :cloud9:

And just think, if you're like me, the 3rd will randomly come 3 weeks early, so maybe you really only have 77 days. Ha! Just thought I'd throw that in to rock your world this morning.

Congratulations, Rash. And it is fantastic.

Yes, it is, despite my sarcasm. And best wishes for the rest of your pregnancy and beyond. :)

Thank you, but I hope you're wrong about the 3 weeks early thing - that would be this weekend for us. :earseek:

Tee, hee, hee, I take a sort of gleeful joy in that part. They start out by never letting you know what's happening as far as when they're coming, and then they keep that up, well, pretty much forever. But they're darn fun - I hope you have a blast.

Can't argue with that! Our first one was 3.5 weeks early, surprising the heck out of us. I had a big presentation to give first thing on that particular morning, and the day before I had kidded with my boss that I might not be in, " 'cos you never know". He responded with "that's not funny, don't even joke about it". So next morning at 6am, there we are headed for the hospital! Ooops - I should never have opened my big mouth :teeth: . He thought I was still joking when I told him, but took it well once he came to terms with it! Our other two were much more reasonable and were fashionably late...

Best wishes to both of you! :wizard:

wow. Getting way to serious around here...

Rash - Just had to tell you that I had a terrible urge to yell spinach around the campfire this weekend with teh in-laws. I almost did, just so I could tell you how it went. Then I remembered that dh would likely have institutionalized me. :confused3

Sorry - didn't mean to do that :earboy2:

FYI - Spinach is SOOO two weeks ago. We have moved on to PUPPY!!! (courtesy, of course, of our fearless lexicographer Rash).

Tried yelling PUPPY at the gas station this morning...sorry, doesn't quite do it for me...little old lady asked if I need help finding a pet...Spinach was cool...Pheasant worked well, but Puppy, nay, I'll hold out till next Sunday.

I do like the two syllable words though, takes a bit more time to yell them and an extra breath to get it all out. Food related words are good...animals are fine...Puppy just sounds like I should be nesting.

OH, now I get it. Hey good luck with the colt, Rash! I'll join you in a Yuengling or three!

Actually, it was only last week. Rash didn't change the word 'til after I left for the weekend, so it was all I had.

lllovell - I agree. Yell "puppy" at the camp fire would have gotten me 2 dogs in my lap. They would have fought. It would have been bad.

Then again, yellign spinach last weekend would have ou tmy nephew in tears as he's currently got a thing against Popeye. Rather odd....

I just have to be careful, since having two little boys around the house, any full bodied shouts of "PUPPY" might be misunderstood to mean poopy and there would be people jumping out windows to get away! :p I will have to test the public reaction. hehe

(and on the sidetracking of our hijacked thread....my first one was 2 days early, the second one was 10 days early...but this one is a girl and I am SURE she will have a schedule all on her own lol I just vote for healthy! I am votiing for Thurs the 28th at 2:32 pm for Rash's new addition to arrive)

Yea - puppy could actually be relevant given the proper scenario, just as spinach wouldn't work so well in a grocery store. I just like the sound of the word puppy - very funny sounding if said properly.

The key is to yell the word in an environment completely unrelated to the word. I would use puppy perhaps in a movie theater or, the default always-appropriate location, the stall in a public restroom. Particularly funny for us guys, while at the urinal facing the wall, with someone at the next urinal. I defy you to explain why anyone would scream a word, ANY word, while standing at a urinal.

Excellent! I derive so much satisfaction out of inspiring lunacy in others. Even though you didn't do it, just the fact that you thought of it makes me happy.

And if your dh does institutionalize you, be sure to pop your head in room 233 and say hi. You can't miss me - I'm the horse.
