foo-foo, frufru, po-tay-to, po-tah-to. Gets the point across, right?

I think if you're walking a French Poodle, you have French fries. However, perhaps he'd be walking a Freedom Poodle and eating Freedom fries. Maybe he should just get an English Sheepdog or an Irish Setter and have some Guiness? Seems much easier.

LOL NOW you are talking! I will take a Guiness...errr - I mean a sheepdog please. :p

Now THERE's a good idea!!!! :hyper:

However, if one did not know about the SOF, I'd have a hard time justifying it.

Hmmm.... I need some better marketing.... A good tag line. How about "More fun for everyone!" oh and the legal disclaimer.... While it does rhyme, it is in no way shape or form a poem.

S.O.F. - I would come and meet you in a heart beat! If we ever find ourselves on that coast, or you find yourself in GA lets do it :teeth:

With a slogan like that, how can I resist? :cool1:

I needed a place to do my happy dance!!  :cool1: :cool1:

It looks like I'll have my hocky back this year! Wow Toon, your dd works FAST!!!!

Just look at the smile on Red Wing Mickey's face. Oh boy!

Now, back to our regularyl scheduled nothing.

The hockey thing is good for me because at 2:30 am, its an easy thing to turn on while feeding little babies and watch and then go back to sleep easily!

Goooooooooo errrrr Thrashers!! (took me a sec to even remember the Atlanta team's name - I am so bad) and TAKE THE HAWKS WITH YOU!!! :rotfl: :p

As you can tell, not a fan myself really - but I am glad for all you that do love the game. :teeth:

Yeah, this kind of gave away the fact that you're not a fan. It typicially takes ma a little while to wind down after a game. :rotfl:

Glad it does work for you, though!

Now if I can have some :wizard: that I won't lose Stevie Y or too many other favorites..... Darn salary cap! I still say team owners houl dbe the ones responsible for making sure that their accounts payable is < their accounts payable. Silly me. My industry won't shut down if a few companies are losing money.

*Stepping off soap box now*

lol I guess that was a dead give away!

*sending you lots of good wishes*

I understand about payroll, etc. When AOL ended up in charge of the Braves, it really shook up things in the organization (and continues to do so). How they manage to keep winning after losing so many big names each year is a real testiment to the farm league and the coaching/management.

I am just hoping that I can keep my boys interested and also maybe get a little bit of tomboy in this little girl like I have so we can ALL enjoy sports together. :teeth:

I'll bet one turkey leg the Toon caves! He'll be joining the rest of us spineless dads in picking up after some low-IQ furball with a sparkly collar and engraved bowl. You can't deny the power of the DD's!

Cave Toon Cave!

Here's your future:

Anyone else? :rotfl:

I'm afraid you're right. This looks like the kind of dog she wants. Personally, I like the idea of an English Sheepdog and a Guiness over this and white wine.
Maybe I could get her interested in watching hockey games and take her mind off this puppy thing?

Gotta' like your outlook!
A. With 2 older borthers, she'll HAVE to like some sports (likely wrestling lol).
B. If not, just send her up to Aunt Carrie. I'll lead her in the right direction. ;) (You don't want her to like golf, tennis or auto racing, right? Those are not my favorites.)

Well gang, me meeting Tooneric and that invite from lllovell to leftcoaster got me thinking. This is probably going to be next to impossible to arrange, but wouldn't it be soooooo cool if the folks contributing to this thread could all be at WDW at the same time? Would that be a PARTY or what?? (I wouldn't exclude anyone from the boards that wants to attend, but I'd especially like to meet you guys).

So, on the extremely small odds that we can actually do this, I am going to tell you all my WDW schedule through the end of 2006 (I actually have it planned out until 2007, LOL):

October 2-7 2005 (This time is probably next to impossible to book now, due to F&W, (anyway it may be too soon for lllovell and Rash to be able to travel with their newborns), so this date is out.

January 23-27 2006

May 1-5, 2006

October 7-12 2006

I realize it's extremely unlikely we'll all be available at the same time, but even if a bunch of us were wouldn't it be a blast? This is more than likely a pipe dream/fantasy that will never be, but I figured what the heck, can't hurt to ask.

Dream on, dream on, dream until your dream comes true.

The easiest was to do that is to take her to a live game. Perhaps a trip to DL and a Mighty Ducks game? My geography's bad but I can't think of any teams near you. Better be careful, though. Hockey equipment's kind of expensive! ;) Oh to grow up now when I could have been a hockey player.

I'd love to meet everyone. Unfortuneately, I'll be ther Jan. 7th to 13th and may not be back again until after August 07 (using large # of point for Alaska Cruise next year). Maybe you could video conference me in!

Wait, if oyu all go, who's gonna' be left here to keep me company? :guilty:

Good idea and then I can sneak over there and strategically place pictures of little white dogs all over the place. ::insert evil laugh here::

We are still trying to figure out our plans for 2006, but hopefully this weekend will help with that and I will let you know as soon as we do.

The only trip I know of for us in the next few months is Dec 4-9. I am really hoping to go down for the Halloween parties next year and I actually liked MNSSHP BETTER than the Christmas party (and the kids are perfect age for such things), so I am thinking October, 2006 is high on our list!

I wish I could be there in January to cheer Carrie on while she and many other DISers run on the marathons! Maybe in 2007 we can run together!

hehehe @ the Snowball....my grandmother has a couple of those little Bishon Frise dogs and man they are HIGHLY excitable. Good luck with your choices there Toon. Besides, if you get a nice big dog, it could pull your house behind it if a storm comes in and floods the Big Easy this summer!

Left...you are evil - and I love it! :p

Don't you people work? I get busy for a couple days and I've got like 5 pages and several topics to catch up on. Well, here's my .03 on each topic:

- Great trip report greenban - glad you had a good time. I do miss the biting sarcasm and controversial wit of previous reports, but enjoyed it nonetheless.

- I'll be diggin' a grave for myself if someone doesn't turn off that incessant song in my head.

-Tooneric - I'd rather have a newt than that cat-in-a-dogs-body dog. Lay down the law - it's a great dane or a goldfish. If she names it Princess, you'll just have to suck it up. Or just pay her off - give her a hundred bucks to stop pestering you about the dog. Money well spent. I do it all the time with my wife and the yardwork. And the dishes. And just about everything else.

- The Flyers will crush the Red Wings in 4 straight in next years Stanley Cup, thus eliminating any sense of elation wtpclc had regarding the resurrection of the NHL season.

- My next trip to the world is May 12-20. If any of you are there, I'll let you buy me a Yuengling.

- Tasha - you left it at my house. I'll try to sneak it over sometime next...oh, sorry, wrong discussion board.

oh, sorry for teh delay. I was just looking at the picture in my office taken after teh WIngs swept teh Flyers in '97. If you look just up and to the left of teh Miller Lite sign, that's my dad with his arms up in the white jersey. Then DB, me, and dh. Payback time, maybe. But I'll revel in the past over worrying about your dreams.

:sad2:

Still good to hear from you Rash!

Isn't it amazing that I actually get PAID to surf the DIS boards? At least that is what I do while I sit here and somehow, the paychecks just keep coming. bwhaahahahahaha

 I am a very dedicated employee who works her patookus off when it is called for (and often when its not). You know - if I knew where my patookus actually WAS, I might be able to turn this into a work out program when I return from maternity leave. :teeth: gonna have to work on that one :cheer2:

You are evil! BTW, I'll be at DL early August. I think it's somewhere on the left coast. I better not see pics of fluffy dogs all over DL.

idratherbeinwdw: What an honor it would be to ride TTA with Mar' the Hairdryer Lady! My only planned trip is in Feb, so I'll have to work on it.

Rash: Is there a great dane variety that is white and fluffy? If so, I may have found a solution.

wtpclc: I think we had a hockey team here once, but the price of ice is too expensive here, with all the drinking in the French Quarter.

llovell: perhaps I could talk DD into a tractor covered in white fur instead of a dog. That would pull the house better than a big dog next evacuation.

Greenban: You're so vain, you probably think this thread is about you. Don't know where that came from. Just struck me as funny. I don't think you're vain really. Just having a Carol King moment.

I think you will find it is against the DIS TOS to use four letter words like that. :teeth: Do that again and we may have to call in the mods :earboy2: Besides that, everyone is busy diggin' tunnels as far as I can tell (don't blame me, wtpclc made me do it!)...

If
You feel the earth move under your feet

and/or
You feel like a natural woman :scared1:

and/or
You feel It's Too Late

You may be having a Carol King moment.

But
If You're So Vain

and/or
You haven't got time for the pain

And/or
you're waiting with
Anticipation

You're having
A Carly Simon Moment :)
